Chapter 11.3
“You can do whatever you want to do. Just roll around like a lowlife as you normally do.
“Doesn’t demeaning me like that make you more miserable, Skyla?”
“Shut up, you insignificant b*stard.”
“That’s not something to say to your brother.”
“You…!”
An exasperated Skylar was about to curse but barely managed to hold it back. Hah, he breathed deeply, inhaling and exhaling shakily in anger.
“Princess.”
His suppressed voice came out ominously.
Ariel, who was very nervous, understood right away and responded quickly.
“Yes, Your Highness.”
“You should call her by her name, Ariel, while you’re calling her.”
However, the Crown Prince intervened and interrupted their conversation. Each time, he touched his brother’s nerves, calling her name in a sweet voice.
Ariel’s eyes met Devoncia’s.
His two pupils, tinted with vividly different colors, exuded a strange atmosphere like in the garden.
“Princess.”
Again, heavily, Skyla called out to her as though his eyes still glared at his brother ferociously.
“Return to your room first…”
“Ariel, do you want to stay with me?”
When Devoncia immediately cut off her words, Skyla’s face was painted with unspeakable anger. Emotions beyond hatred spread across his cold, frozen face, and the silence that followed at that moment was one of fear itself.
Ariel glanced back and forth between Skyla, who had his back to her, and Devoncia, who was giving her a sly glance.
“I’ll go back to my room…”
She opened her mouth and answered.
Skyla’s stiff shoulders relaxed slightly, as the trembling of his fists, which he had put too much power into, stopped and even his curled fingers loosened. He forced himself to hold back his boiling emotions, thanks to her response which followed his words.
Still, that didn’t last long either.
The Crown Prince’s lips finely curved upward as he sent a palpable gaze at Ariel.
“It seems you haven’t eaten yet. I haven’t eaten either, would you like to eat with me?”
“….”
“Hmm, Ariel?”
“Thank you very much for your invitation, but…”
“Okay, then come to my room.”
Devoncia skillfully proceeded with the story. The subtle attitude, neither a request nor an order, was sweet and uncomfortable. He seemed to have mastered this kind of thing, as he even seemed natural, like water flowing.
The daughter of a count, a position in which one couldn’t dare to refuse the Crown Prince’s repeated demands. Ariel’s situation left her speechless.
While she was frozen, Skyra grabbed the Crown Prince by the collar.
Thud!
Then, he pushed Devoncia against the wall, causing a loud sound.
“You sick b*stard! You’re always screwing with me any way you can!”
“Pffhahaha…”
Facing Skyla’s distorted face, Devoncia let out a chuckle as if it was so funny. Disheveled hair, his eyes reddened by the fever as the robe slipped from the silver thread-embroidered collar and the waist strap that tied it around his waist.
He was obviously ill, yet he continued to prod Skylar.
He acted like he was interested in Ariel, but he probably wasn’t. To him, she was just a medium, an excuse. Crown Prince Devoncia had only one intention in mind—to make his brother feel miserable—while Prince Skyla was furious from the top of his head as his sensitive nature was stimulated as he intended.
Strange people and strange situations.
“You have to behave virtuously, Skyla.”
“Disgusting b*stard…”
Pliable or growling, mockery and accusations were exchanged.
The Crown Prince and the Prince were a roaring conflagration that burned even by small elements like oil and oxygen.
