209 Kissing Death Away 2

Name:Immoral System Author:FallenBlue
The deep rose-colored car was only a rented one, something Aura arranged prior to their departure from the city four hours ago. The assistant had mostly figured that they would need a convenient mode of transport in another country, so she booked one through an app.

"Let's hope this guy is not purposely concealing himself this time." Diaz once said with mild irritation, probably incensed that his boss had to go here and there just to find that actor.

After their plane landed at the airport, the car was then delivered. Diaz procposed for them to have their dinner first. While they would be stuffing their stomach, the two hacker couple would finish their food fast then do their best to get information about his whereabouts.

That was the plan. They even reserved a table in a restaurant ten minutes away from the airport.

While waiting for the order though, Alessa remembered that she forgot her smartphone inside the car. Not used without her phone within her hands' reach, she excused herself from the two.

Aura wanted to accompany her, but she declined since they were currently in a different country. Amelia was too preoccupied with Sofony Silver's antics to care about the half-sister, her, who wanted to chase after her dream man and even flew over the boundaries just to accomplish that. Also, the parking lot was only two minutes walk away. If any problem comes up, with the phone in hand, she would be able to alert her bodyguards as soon as possible.

Things at this point seemed easy and uncomplicated, that the dilemma would only show up once they truly start to locate him.

But who would have thought that after she got her phone and when was already planning to go back, she would end up seeing the very reason for her unplanned trip to C Empire in a manner she almost assumed as car-stealing?

Yup, the man who barged into the passenger seat and pushed her back to the other car door was none other than Chris. And he looked heavily wounded, again. The chest and the hand grabbing onto that part were bathed in fresh red, its metallic scent assaulting her nostrils without pause, sending unending warning bells to her mind.

What kind of work of fate was this? Had her great desire to see him reach the Almighty's ears, pitying her and granting her wish?

But why in this kind of setup? The bright and striking color of the trails of blood on his clothes and skin was so vivid that it got etched in her mind, in a not-so-desirable manner. It made it so hard for her to breathe, making her feel like her heart got crucified due to the injuries she could see on him.

'Hospital... I must bring him to the nearest hospital!'

Thinking of this, she panically raised the matter to him.

Yet...

"... Please, cooperate with me," he suddenly said, catching her off guard and cutting off what she was saying.

This was the last thing Alessa heard before she got lifted from her seat and then rolled over to change positions with him.

In a split-second, her back was facing the side where he came from. She couldn't stop fidgeting because their position now was the closest and most intimate they had ever been.

Every inch of her face and neck turned red, her hands which subconsciously clutched onto his back and the backrest started shivering, all amidst the abrupt shift. Not due to the cold from the air-conditioning. But unexpected nervousness.

"H-hey, Ch---!"

All of a sudden, the real unexpected and mind-blowing happened.

The words were forced down her throat forcefully.

Because he suddenly blocked her mouth, using his own!

One could imagine how wide her eyes had been when their lips began touching.

She didn't know what to feel at that moment. No. Accurately put, she couldn't describe what she just felt. She shivered when his breath mixed with hers. She also felt herself melting within his embrace, the pounding in her heart so fast and loud, she almost thought, it would deafen her.

'W-we're k-kis-sing---?'

Her brain short-circuited. As dedicated as she was to her craft, this particular scene was just a no-no for her. Every time her character had to engage in something intimate, she would leave it to her body-double. Make her climb mountains and cross fire, but no director would be able to force her into acts like this.

And that explained why she felt the butterflies and all, but knew none of how she should react to it.

Even though she knew it was odd that seconds passed with them not moving their lips in any way after the first contact, her brain had just died, so she didn't dare move.

Alessa didn't know, she and this man were the same. He didn't want to have any relationship with someone. Why would he let anybody to have intimate contact with him?

The woman felt at lost within his glassy, barely focused eyes.

Just then, he began speaking with hushed breathing in between barely parted lips. "... I'll remove it..."

Before she could react, her hair which was in an elegant updo fell down cascading to form a waterfall on both sides of her face. Her heart was once again tested when she saw him wince in pain but still continue supporting her waist as she laid there almost covering his whole body from the top.

She exclaimed and moved to the sides, but he held her in place and even intensified the kiss by nibbling on her lips. The woman saw another shadow suddenly covering theirs in one corner of her peripheral vision and felt the desperation in his action.

Finally, the real situation dawned to her. And she didn't know what ghost possessed her to take advantage of this realization somehow.

She parted with him for a second and took that chance to breathe deeply. Then she bravely proceeded with the kiss again, this time catching him off- guard when she inserted her tongue inside his mouth.

"... Hey!"

Alessa closed her eyes. A couple of seconds later, she felt extreme joy washing all over her when he responded to her impulsiveness.

The extra and unwelcome shadow finally left, most likely thinking there was just no way the injured person it was looking for would be able to pull a random woman into doing a 'miracle' with him inside a car.

Chris, at least, saw this. Yet he tolerated extending their sloppy kiss for another minute before turning to his head to the side and lowering his gaze. Why? Why did he let that happen?

"... I'm sorry. Let me drive you to the nearest hospital." Alessa averted her ashamed eyes while properly taking a seat before the steering wheel.

"Let's just stay here for a while. And no, not to the hospital... Anywhere, but that."

He coughed in between his speech. Amidst his labored breathing, he covered his face and placed his forehead against the dashboard. By this time, he had also sat up from his half-lying position.

That non-host supporter was still lurking. They couldn't risk their only means of escape. That enemy only left because he assumed the man Alessa was kissing could not have been him.

Chris felt bad that this woman would be caught up in his matter.

".... I'm sorry. We're still in a dangerous situation."

Apart from the embarrassment of involving Alessa to this mess, he couldn't remove his mind from what they just did. It was such a hot but awkward kiss shared by two obviously inexperienced people. Hence, when he stared at her, his face looked a bit unusual.

But the woman thought the reason behind it was his chest wound suffocating him.

"Don't worry. I'll at least make sure you won't be implicated," he said.

After a long silence, she asked, "... Why are you not healing yourself?"

She met his stunned face.

Alessa clarified. "... You can heal yourself miraculously. At least, that's what I remember."

His face turned grim.

The system could indeed heal him, but not now that he was back to being the poorest of the system hosts.

Or actually, he could, if he phones Sofony, and she loans him some points which he would repay at a later time.

That woman had always been rich in points. The transaction could be done through the system since they were officially allies.

However, he couldn't do it now as well since it would mean Alessa would hear information that no regular non-host should know.

Alessa was not his main non-host supporter. Or at least, she was currently not. He didn't even know how this whole affair was set up.

'Maybe it's already time to put an end to the stupid test...'

And so he chose to play pretend.

"... You're speaking nonsense... The last time we met is when you are ill and you forced me to watch over you... It must be the effect of the fever. I can't do things like that."

The woman who had opened the mini-compartment in front to check for items they could use to bandage his wounds momentarily froze.

She raised her head to him, quietly asking, "Are you saying my eyes played with me back then? I was only hallucinating?"

"... What do you think?"
