The Vampires

We are the creatures of the night

The living legends of folk lore

Our thirst knows no satisfaction

Each night our desire cries for more

Beneath the star laden skies we prey

Upon our selected victims as we will

Their jugulars pierced by our fangs

As our lust for blood drives us to kill

After we drained their life force

Our victims begin their transformation

Evolving beneath the moon to be as we

Truly undead and beyond imagination

From the moment we all share a bond

The hearts once beating now are still

We are immortal we are the Vampires

Sharing in the excitement of the kill

We sleep amidst the hours of daylight

To avoid the solar light that causes pain

At night arising to embrace the darkness

To stalk amidst the shadow once again

We fear not the power of modern man

His weapons or advance technology

Katherine successfully unlocked the chains on her feet and hands. She gritted her teeth when she saw the cuts it left on her skin. She stretched her body then, she slowly tiptoed towards the door but to her dismay, it was locked. "Plan B." She whispered then, went back to her chair and pretended that she was still chained.

"Help! Help!" Katherine shouted loudly. The guards looked at each other when they heard Katherine's screaming. They peeked on the hole then, they saw Katherine was wincing of pain holding her stomach firmly. They hurriedly opened the door and approached Katherine but they were flabbergasted to see Katherine smiling wickedly when she raised her head. In an instant, the guards lost their consciousness because of Katherine's assaults. Katherine closed the door. Put the sleeping guards on the sides so no one would notice them. After securing them safely so as not to escape from the rope she tied on them, she walked towards the door, peeped outside, look left and right and when she's sure no one is outside, she went out to look for Celeste.

Katherine closed her eyes, concentrated on Celeste's scent then, dashed to where the girls's scent is leading her. When she reach a door, she hid because there are guards busy chatting with each other infront of it. "One...two...three..." Katherine said then became invisible.

Celeste felt someone is removing the rope in her hands and feet. "Kath?" Celeste said. "Ssssshhhhh..." The guards inside the room looked at Celeste with furrowed foreheads. Celeste smiled sweetly making the guards rolled their eyes. "You're too young for us so stop flirting." Guard 1 said making Celeste pout. Katherine giggled.

"You saw the other hostage?" Guard 1 asked. "Yeah, she's beautiful. Lord Luther really wants to get her." Guard 2 said. "With her looks and body, every man will want her too." Guard 3 said.

Celeste smiled when Katherine successfully untied her but she didn't move because the guards might notice her. Suddenly, the guards inside heard a commotion outside so they went out to check what's happening. That was the chance Katherine is looking for. She holds Celeste's hands then disappeared quickly.

"The hostage in room 1 escaped!" The guards approaching shouted. "What!? How did it happened?" Guard 1 asked. "Did you look around?" Guard 2 asked and the other guards nodded. "S__t!" Guard 3 swear then came back to the room and his eyes went wide when no one was inside. "Find them!?" He shouted and all the guards vanished into thin air. When the servants heard that the two hostages escaped, they celebrated.

"Why did you help her? Later, when Lord Travis find out that you let them escaped, you'll be in trouble." The other servant asked talking to their head. "She's gonna be our saviour. She's the destined one." Their head said then continue cooking as if there was nothing happening outside.

"Kath!?" Celeste shouted when Katherine fell on her knees. "Are you alright?" Celeste asked with worries on her face. "I'm fine. It might be the effect of the silver chains they put on me." Katherine shouted. Celeste helped her to rest under a large tree. "You should keep going. I will stay here to lure them." Katherine said and Celeste shaked her head for a NO answer.

"I will stay here." Celeste said firmly. "Do you want to die?" Katherine asked feeling annoyed because of Celeste's stubborness. "You saved me many times. I want to return the favor by staying with you." Celeste said making Katherine rolled her eyes. "So, if you will stay, how will you help me? They will suck your blood until its last drop then, they will shred your body into pieces. I can't fight as well as protect you. You'll be in grave danger if you stay. Do you understand me?" Katherine said making Celeste gulped. "Now, listen to me. Run as fast as you can. Don't look back. You have to tell them where I am. Now go! They are coming." Katherine pushed Celeste.

One by one, the guards appeared infront of Katherine surrounding her. "If only your a normal vampire, we will kill you on the spot but because you're special, we will let it slide." Guard 1 said. "Come with us peacefully and you will not be hurt." Guard 2 said. "What if I don't?" Katherine said. "Then, we don't have any choice but to bring you back with force." Guard 3 and all the men positioned themselves, "Okay, let's finish this fast." Katherine said then, vanished.
