Seeing how Sima You Yue and the rest were fine, Mao San Quan and the teachers felt relieved.

“What happened to the few of you? Why did you all come here?” Mao San Quan asked while pulling a long face.

“We didn’t want to come here either!” Tang Yan felt wronged and continued, “We were implicated in this.”

“What exactly happened? Mo Bin, tell me.” said Mao San Quan while looking at Mo Bin.

Those that came in together switched their attention from the golden scorpion to them, wanting to know what happened.

Mo Bin explained that they came here by chance and encountered over ten thousands of golden scorpions and had a war. When they were just about to win, a golden ray of light came out from nowhere, blinding them, and a desert vortex appeared. It swirled all of them in and they ended up falling into the place where they are now.

“What happened after you came here? What did you all see?” Did you all kill these golden scorpions?” Someone asked anxiously.

“No.” Mo Bin shook his head, “This golden scorpion was killed by a python. When we came in from outside, we saw a huge python fighting with the golden scorpion. The golden scorpion was killed by the tail of the python. Then, the python ate the shining thing on top of the altar and went away.”

“Did it hurt you guys?” Someone asked.

“Maybe it was rushing to digest, so it didn’t hurt us. It even gave us the golden scorpion’s body.” Mo Bin answered.

Meaning, this thing was theirs.

“From the marks and hints of it, there was definitely a snake here.”

“Snakes are the most treacherous and vicious, why would it let you humans go?” Someone questioned.

“Could it be that you guys swallowed the thing? That snake is your contract beast or you guys made it up?”

Hearing those words, those people’s gaze turned unfriendly.

Mao San Quan stood out from the crowd and said, “Maybe, like he said, it was rushing to digest that thing and didn’t want to waste time here. Or, it felt our presence on top and, knowing that we would come down here once the light was unblocked, it left in a hurry.”

“That’s right.”

“On top of it, seeing this golden scorpion’s strength, it can be killed by a tail of the python, how strong would it be? You think, given their strength, can they even contract a beast with that strength? Even you guys can’t. Let alone three students! ” Mao San Quan refuted their words.

Those people were speechless after hearing Mao San Quan’s words.

“Don’t suspect my sect’s students if you don’t have evidence, They are kids with good conduct!” Mao San Quan harrumphed.

Sima You Yue and the rest heard Mao San Quan’s words and lowered their heads. If not, they wouldn’t be able to hide their smiling expression any longer.

By doing that, they would look like they were being wronged and make those people who suspected them feel bad.

“Since that thing is given to you by that python, you guys can keep it.”

“Yes, Instructor Mao.” Sima You Yue walked over, kept the golden scorpion’s body and stood behind Mao San Quan.

“Which direction did that python go.” Someone asked.

“That side. It transformed into a small snake and flew away. If you guys want to chase after it, take note if it’s hiding anywhere.” Mo Bin kindly reminded.

“We will go and look for it.” Some followed the direction they gave and chased, but they wouldn’t be able to find anything.

“This must be the altar from the immemorial era. Didn’t think it would be hiding under this desert.” Since they can’t get the thing, they can only focus on the altar.

“Other than here, have you guys gone to other places?” Mao San Quan asked.

“No.”

“You bring them up to land, we will take a look down here.” Mao San Quan told one of the teachers.

They wanted to understand the situation so they had to investigate further, but the situation here was unknown. Having students around would be dangerous.

“Ok.” That teacher said to Sima You Yue and the rest,” Let’s go up.”

Sima You Yue and the rest knew they wouldn’t be able to participate in any of the later happenings, so they obediently followed the teacher back to land.

When those students that guarded on top saw Sima You Yue and the rest came up, they secretly sighed in relief that they were alive and managed to come back out safe and sound even after getting swirled in. They thought that they were dead for sure!

Hua Piao Miao saw that Mo Bin had come out, so she walked over to him and passed him the jade pendant from her hand. She said gently, “You dropped this jade pendant when you got swirled in, I’ll return this to you now.”

Mo Bin had long since realised his jade pendant was missing and thought that he couldn’t get it back anymore. He didn’t expect she’d picked it up.

“Thanks.” He took over the jade pendant and thanked her faintly.

“All the students are at the oasis, let’s go over.” Hua Piao Miao said.

The good thing was that the oasis was big enough to accomodate ten of thousands of people. The sect’s people reached here first, so they hogged the place with the most leverage, which was the pond.

Sima You Yue realised upon reaching that the sect’s students should all be there already.

“Classmate You Yue, thank you for your pill. After I got stung by the golden scorpion once, I ate your pills and it saved my life.” One student joined in and bowed to Sima You Yue, thanking her for saving her life.

“You bought it yourself. It’s yours, you don’t need to thank me like that.” said Sima You Yue while gently supporting her.

“I still have to thank you, if you didn’t refine this pill, where could we buy it from? If we got stung, we can only be like the rest, watching helplessly waiting for death.” That person said loudly.

A lot of people thought the same. If she didn’t develop the antidote, they would be worried about their fate as they might lose their lives here!

So they worshipped her and treated her with respect.

Sima You Yue and the rest greeted them politely, then walked to the side of a small lake. Little Seven saw Wang Si Miao standing below a tree at the side of the river and dragged Sima You Yue over.

“You were fast!” Little Seven greeted.

Wang Si Miao was right in the middle of thinking about stuff when he heard Little Seven. He then turned and saw them walking over.

“Why are you here alone in a daze?” Sima You Yue asked.

“I’m thinking about some stuff.” Wang Si Miao said. He looked around and saw the students were a distance away before he cupped his hands in salute at Sima You Yue. “Thank you for the poison you gave me before you went off.”

“You used it?”

“I used it.” Wang Si Miao continued, ” When I went back, on the way there were people trying to kill me. The opponent was strong. If it were not for the poison you gave me that made them sleepy for a while, I might not have been able to return to the sect.”

“So ruthless?” Sima You Yue continued, ” Do you know who are the ones who tried to kill you?”

“I can guess who they are, but I don’t know the reason.” Wang Si Miao said doubtfully.
