Chapter 12 - Tea Party And Drama

"Finally I am outside!!" I said as I opened the window of the carriage so that I could feel the fresh air on my face.

"Sister what if you catch a cold!" Ash said as he pulled me back. "I won't, don't worry!!" I said as I smiled slyly towards him. But he kept looking at me with his keen eyes.

"Okay, I lose..." Saying that I closed the window.

This all overprotectiveness of his started since that incident which happened at least 2 weeks ago.

Not only his mother, but father and even the princes are also all acting like this, I mean I was told to take a rest for 2 weeks even though all my body parts are working fine.

And the princes kept sending me different types of medicines some to give me strength, some to increase my blood level and what else I can't even remember.

The rumour of me being sick and the royal family taking care of me reached the ears of other nobles, so to show their consideration they started sending presents and letters.

I don't understand who are they showing all this to even though no one in the whole empire is this dumb that he or she won't understand what they are trying to do.

Just because the winter family has a good connection with the royals they are trying to act all friendly. Even though the contents of the letter showed consolation for me but deep down on the surface it was all for the sake of connection to the royal family. How absurd!

But between those 100 letters only one got my attention and that's was from the Carot family, and that too from Violet and truthfully only her letter showed true concern for me, but for her to send a letter to me is it that's all or not, what am I thinking she is the female lead, of course, she won't have any ill motive behind it.

After what happened that day in the palace I have started to stay in alert mode, thinking of the palace I need to meet her majesty too. First of all, I am worried about her since I heard that she has gotten sicker, and second of all I want to know, what in the world does she know?

But for now, I am going to the carot family residence as lady Violet invited me for a tea party, and Ash is accompanying me in case I get sick again. *Sigh* I suddenly feel as if he is the older one.

This is my life's first-ever tea party, So I am excited that I was hardly able to sleep last night!!! Even in the morning I woke up early and practised my etiquette in case I do some mistakes. I even had to do an extra effort on my clothing and hair.

Today I wore a white dress with a blue ribbon on my waist which matches my eye colour and a pair of comfortable blue shoes. As for my hair, I told the maid's to braid it and tie it with a blue ribbon and to complete my look I wore a hairband with flowers structure.

I would have liked to wear a necklace with it but it's a rule here that girls can only wear necklaces after their debut I.e when they turn 16, I wonder why girls debut are later than boys who have their debut when they turn 14. Thinking of it the crown prince is 11 now so his debut is less than 2 years away now.

That is the day when the conflict between the female lead and the Villainess start, so before that happens I have to find out about every single red flag.

"Sister looks like we have arrived," Ash said, I looked outside and saw a villa which gave me the vintage type feeling.

"Lady Winter and Young Master Winter welcome to the carot Villa, please follow me towards the tea party." A maid said as she bowed towards me. After that, I followed her inside and saw a group of ladies sitting at a big round table talking and laughing.

My social appearance in banquets, parties are at the level 0 so I don't really know anyone here, except the female lead Violet and the person sitting near her who had short brown brunette hair with brown eyes and a composed vibe around her wearing a smile olive green dress with golden imprints in it, was the supporting character of this novel Molly Isa Smith. The character who dies for the female lead Violet.

According to the novel, Molly who has always dreamt of being a knight was laughed at by everyone, except one person and that was Violet who supported her dream. Molly was touched by Violet's thoughtfulness.

And like that both of them became best friends, their friendship was so selfless that when the villainess Rose tried to marry off violet with Baron Jack who was obsessed with violet to the point that he stalked and harassed her.

Molly who knew that Violet loves the crown prince sacrificed herself for her and got married in her place. In the end, Molly who once dreamt of being a knight killed herself because of extreme domestic violence.

"Lady winter is here!" Violet said cheerfully as she looked towards me.

"I thank Lady Carot for inviting me to today's tea party," I said as I was taught in the etiquette class.

"The pleasure is mine, please take your seat," Violet said as she pointed towards the seat an empty seat.

"Sure and if lady carot doesn't mind then can my younger brother Ashton take part in today's tea party," I asked.

"Sure no problem!" Violet said as she smiled toward Ash.

"I Thank Lady Carot for letting me join the tea party," Ash said as he bowed.

"Wow! He is so small still the way he talks is so mature!" Violet said surprised by Ash speech of talking.

" I agree!" said another lady. In the meantime, I helped Ash to sit as the chair was too high for him.

"By the way, Lady winter how is your health now?" Violet asked in a concerned voice

"Thank you for asking Lady Carot I am doing fine now," I said as I smiled towards her.

"It's good to know that you are fine." Violet said as she smiled towards me.

I looked at Molly who wasn't talking at all, maybe she was forced to attend the party. Unlike other ladies Molly never liked to take the typical lady route, wearing fancy dresses, having tea party and chit chat. These were never her cup of tea. But still sitting quietly like that will create bad impressions. Should I try to break the ice, but how? What should I talk about??

ohh right!! I can talk about her!

"Lady Smith, I heard count Smith has gone to the southern empire this time and that the youngest lady Smith has also followed him," I asked her.

"Yeah that's right, Kelly has followed dad towards the south," Molly said in an uninterested tone.

"Hmm, I feel jealous of her," I said as I smiled everyone attention turned towards me, even Molly eyebrows twitched by my sudden reply.

"What does Lady Winter mean?" Molly asked in a serious tone. I could hear the ladies murmuring and violet shocked expressions from the corner of my eye.

"I don't mean any offence, what I mean is that I think your younger sister is lucky because she could travel all over the world, she doesn't need to follow the typical lady route we follow every day.

And I also heard that the south is really beautiful with snowfall throughout the year, whereas the west has a hot climate but bright and colourful architecture and have a different style of clothing than us, and the north has during the winter season produces colourful lights in the sky which are called 'Aurora' and our empress was named after it because of its mysterious and beautiful nature.

Since the young lady Smith has been travelling around with count Smith I am sure she will be able to see all of it, ha I can't help but feel jealous of her." I said as I smiled towards her.

I looked at the ladies and they looked amazed by my words.

"She is indeed lucky," Violet said as she looked towards Molly.

"Right we might never be able to travel the world like that!" another lady said as she signed.

"If young lady Smith can travel like that then maybe one day you can too!" Another lady said joyfully as she looked towards Molly.

Molly looked surprised by all that attention but she still replied to them, well if she really wants to be a knight won't having more social connections and more supporters be helpful for her.

"Well If we talk about luck isn't Lady Winter lucky too after all she has a good connection with the royal family." A lady with green hair and foxy silver eyes said, ugh here comes the typical mean girls of the novel world. Her name is Laney

Mallory Gray is a semi villainess in this story who doesn't last for long to think that she would be present here today. What a bad luck!

"What does Lady Gray mean?" I asked.

She smirked evilly,

I don't have a good feeling about what going to happen next.
