"First I am attracted to this because a few months ago I saw a knight in training there with brown hair saving a little girl from the hands of a pack of hungry bears. And it was a very cool sight! Like even though she was hurt and she lost her blood she still stood there with a proud smile and glittering eyes and when one of the bears true to attack again. That knight also charged against it but making sure not to hurt the bears as they too were innocent..." Sam said as she touched her palms whereas Ash looked at the shine she had while talking about the incident.
.
"Honestly it wasn't something big but a daily mission every knight performs but when I found that knight was the first lady knight in training I couldn't control my urge to know more about her and for that, I want to learn swordsmanship too but I had no idea how and I wasn't interested in it....and that was when I meet you," Sam said as her gaze stopped at Ash who too didn't break his eye contact with her.
.
"You... when I saw you practising so hard even after getting all the blisters in your hand and not letting out a cry of pain, I was really amazed by it..."
"And you took then took me as your role model?" Ash said interrupting her in between.
.
"No, that was the time when I had the first impression of you but the time I took you as my role model was the time when you defected a proud childe and the speech you gave out---- 'I stand through the pain, not for pride but to save the ones I love'...
.
it was at that moment when I was enchanted by you, and it was at that moment when I too wished to protect others and after some connection of fate I am here with you." Sam said as she smiled brightly after telling every single thing she had in her heart.
.
"Don't you worry about the future?" Ash asked as he looked at the clear sky.
"Like what?"
.
"Like....what if in the future you no longer like being a knight and risking your life? Then what would you do? Give up all your years of training and struggle?" Ash said in a serious tone which was kinda harsh to be said directly, but he had to do it because the girl in front of him is fragile and just because of a few moment's of enchantment she felt like any other kid would at especially at her age, he doesn't want her to regret her whole life.
.
" I don't know about what I would do and what I won't but I know if I don't do this now then I will be in regret forever," Sam answered his all questions in a simple manner.
.
"....Are you serious about this?.." Ash asked again as he was still not convinced about jer taking this step or not.
"I know myself and you know this much about me too that once I aim for anything I won't stop until I reach it," Sam said as she picked up a wooden sword in her hand and placed it before Ash who looked at the sword and then at her face before letting out a big sigh.
.
"Fine, you win," Ash said as he picked up another wooden sword in his hand and looked at Sam who looked satisfied enough by his reaction.
"Then, would you teach me...I mean can we learn together?" Sam said as she smiled and bowed towards him to which Ash just nodded his head and just like that with normal moves and practices their knight training started under the supervision of Leal.
.
While everything in the absence of Irene was going fine in the winter mansion at the same time lots of things were happening in the Palace.
.
"Is your information 100% correct?" Crown Prince Alan talked with a man wearing white cloth, his face hidden by the light.
"Does, Your Highness think I would lie about things like this? Especially when Bedisa is involved?" The man said as he moved away from the light revealing his mystical face.
.
"Your Holiness, you know I don't dare to think that, don't you? Furthermore, it doesn't only concern her but everyone in this empire." Alan said with a straight face as he passed some tea to him.
.
"Yes, I understand that but didn't Prince Brazen talk with you? I told him a lot of info that I don in while roaming around in the western kingdom."
.
"I meet and talk with him but to prove both of your points we don't have enough proof about it but before that, I want to know..." Alan said as he looked at His Holiness who before he could even complete his sentence answered straight to him,
.
"I told you about her nightmares since she trusts you and I know you are the only one who can protect her. *Even though it means going against your fate but if not you....no one else can protect her* Because you are both her cause and cure. So, hiding it form you was more like asking for her early death." His Holiness answered as he shrugged.
.
" Cause and the Cure....I understand being the cure but I don't understand why am I the cause of the curse upon her?" Alan asked as he looked a lot guilty even though he had no idea as to why things were like this he still felt responsible for it and wanted to help in whichever way possible.
.
"You are cause beacuse the curse upon her is given to make you far and you are currently because only when you are close she can be saved." His Holiness said as he gave out his gentle smile while looking at her 13 year old Prince.
.
"Then won't my closeness effect her curse more? What if my closeness leads her to suffer more and more?"
"That can't happen, because your Yan energy gives life to her yin energy and no curse can break that rule. Although it also a truth that this circulation cannot break the curse and only give the one cursed more time to break the curse." Brazen who just entered the room said as he sat down on the table and looked over Alan.
.
"So the curse on Bedisa must be broken within the this period of time or else things might go out of her hand." His Holiness added while Alan sat there with his stiffed body.
.
"Will she continue having this nightmares until her curse us broken?....or is there more to it....?" Alan asked as he clenched his fists.
Both Brazen and His Holiness looked at each other before letting a sigh as they now no longer could stop him form finding the truth.
.
"Alan, what you are going to hear might be a alot so be patient and think carefully....and please don't lose your temper in between. " Brazen said as he glanced at His Holiness signaling him to start.
.
"Your Highness, the curse upon Bedisa is not as smiple as just some scary nightmares.....there is a lot more to it which she has already experienced. Usually in nightmares you feel scared and sometimes even feel the physical pain bit that always temporary and illusion but with the curse she has all the pain and wound she gets in the nightmares she also gets them in real which clearly means....that..."
.
"If the curser wants to kill her in nightmares it would lead her to die in reality too!" Alan said as he felt shiver down his spine with a sudden pain in his heart for a splint second.
.
"Yes....and I am not sure about this but..the energy I felt form the left over black magicians on her body I can say that this power is very unstable and the handler if not strong both spiritually and mentally, might end up in a lot of pain or have the reverse curse..." His Holiness explained as he kept down his tea cup.
.
"...And given the energy source....it was familiar and I clearly felt it before from someone...and it was..." His Holiness continued while Alan stood form his seat making both of then shocked.
.
"Alan! What are you up to now?" Brazen asked as he held onto his shoulders.
"...I don't know, I understand Lady Irene was cursed with a deadly nightmare that could kill her right in her sleep and the one who cursed her was so that we stay away from each other, I understand that even though I am the reason of her curse I am still her cure and without me she wouldn't be able to survive..
.
I understand all this and I can explain this to her too but how in the world can I tell that...the one who is the reason of her nightmares...the one who cursed her is no other than Lady Carot...her friend....How can I do that!!" Alan said with frustration as he banged his hands on the wooden table.
