Monster and Demon.

As similar as they sounds, they aren't.

Monsters are those being who lives for only three functions.

Eat. Sex. Sleep.

A total animalistic habit that they follow from the time they open their eyes and join the world hierarchy.

Some are born in dungeons and use the core as their food and do everything possible to save their source of energy.

Those who are commonly found don't even get the sense of protecting anything as they just live on their desires and die just like that.

But demons are different.

Even though some of them look similar, they fundamentally carry something that monsters don't even compare to.

Curse energy.

The presence of this curse energy naturally came into existence from the monarch of Darkness, the Demon Lord who brought this sinful energy and planted the first root of darkness in the world.

The creatures who first adapted the curse and become the subordinate of the Supreme Monarch were now remembered through stories and those who came later continued their peerage legacy.

Unlike monsters, who grow at a very slow pace, demons live on their cannibalism and get stronger as they proceed to hunt all their life.

And also, unlike monsters, demons since they open their eyes have a single desire kept on repeating in their consciousness, and that was to...

Annihilate humanity.

The newbie demons don't carry anything other than massacre but once a demon attains a certain level they get their own consciousness and could think about how to proceed to end the human race.

In either case or in at any level, demons never change.

But for a thousand years, the high-class demons have gone dormant after their liege was subdued, so the possibility of one of the high-rank demons belonging to [Terror Class], appearing out of nowhere was thin as a thread.

Yet...

_._

'How the fuck something came up at this time ....?!!!'

As I remember the first time protagonist visited the jungle he was only met with a dozen of the lowest ranking demons which he naturally obliterated without breaking a sweat.

But this living golem was at least on the first stage of the Terror rank from any perspective I could perceive.

I have faced a Unique class once when I was exploring one of the lairs, but this was on whole another level.

The dense curse energy, the sheer murderous intent which was making my stomach churn, this humungous body that was oozing with danger was making my inner mind shout to run away at this instance.

But I couldn't run away when the hero was kneeling on the ground with his face paler than a sheet.

It was to be expected as the hero was far from ready to face something like this. Heck, not even the Headmaster would be able to defeat this alone, who's among the [Saint Rank].

Gawking at my surrounding I concluded the space has changed as I wasn't able to receive any kind of mana out of a certain range.

'Is this the veil...?'

Knowing full well, that no reinforcement would be arriving nor the hero would be of any help, I concluded that I had to face this demon alone.

'System how many villain points do I require for the week?'

Collecting mana in my right hand I commenced a spell that needed not more than a couple of seconds to form and looking at the unmoving demon I knew I had enough time.

[Ding!]

[Weekly Requirement:- 2800/1200]

[Due to the surplus host being granted a bonus reward other than the basic ones.]

[Does the host want to open the bonus?]

[Yes/No]

Being questioned about something related to rewards, I did what I usually do.

'No, throw it in inventory.'

Sighing I looked back at the towering figure of the humanoid golem-like creature whose whole body was made up of sandstone and the only aesthetic visible was its two ruby eyes, which currently was fixed upon the hero.

The receiver of such gaze was panting heavily because of the attack he used on me and also the heavy pressure he was receiving from the golem.

'Ah, it's been long since I let loose.'

Cracking my neck, I jerked my legs before a heavy breath smoked out my mouth.

Focusing my eyes on the thing, I activated my first skill in this whole half year.

'Gravity Manipulation'.

My feet rose in the air before I started ascending at a furious pace. It took me less than ten seconds before I climbed around 70 feet in height and now was matched with the eyes of the demon in front.

Strangely or not, the creature was still fixated on the hero which slightly irritated me but it's not like I unwelcomed it.

Soon my spell was in its dischargeable form covering my both palms with amber shade. With the temperature, I had right now at my disposal I could even evaporate a whole pond in seconds.

Naturally, I didn't feel anything from it, but it doesn't mean, my enemy would feel the same as me.

Circulating mana in my desired direction I shot toward the demon's head. Just when I reached some meter away from the demon's forehead I twirled abort and using the inertia landed my palm with more ferocity.

[Touch of Inferno]

**TINGGG**

Immediately where my hand touched the demon a loud vibration formed sending waves into the monster before I finally found the result of my labor.

**BOOM**

Half of the crown of the demon's head was obliterated with chunks of rocks falling on the ground.

The sound was so loud and vibrant that it shook the surroundings and finally the demon also got interested in my presence.

Surprisingly or not, the place which I broke just now regenerated immediately before I found a huge sculptured hand coming in my way.

'Fuck...is he taking me as an insect or something...?'

I dodged the hand flawlessly and used the same technique with my other hand on the rock demon. But same as the previous time it went futile.

'Since small attacks work on you...'

I made some distance from myself and the demon before I initiated another spell.

My mana without [Limiters] was high enough for me to fight with high-rank spells for a day or two. But still, I didn't want to let this continue more than necessary because of various reasons.

A huge black and crimson shade of blaze formed on top of my raised index finger. The size of it was the same as a two-story house with heat that could burn a small village without extinguishing even after annihilation.

I was using such high-class spells because I knew the monstrosity in front was nothing to take easy about so I went with my best.

[Hell Blaze]

I launched the attack toward the monster, who this time moved properly and not only with a sway of hand but it actually protected its face with both arms in guard.

My advantage was that the thing was made of sand, well not entirely but enough for me to devise my plan.

The hell blaze contains the heat of about 4000°C and when that temperature meets the sand, one thing happens...

"GUOOOOHHNHHH"

The demon's hands were shifted into a liquid state due to the effect of the blaze. I seized the moment and applied my other spell.

[Cetus]

At my command, a huge creature made of pure aqua emerged on top of my head before I pushed it onto the golem before it could flail anywhere else.

The natural phenomena worked and the liquid magma was cooled with the steam of hot gasses leaving the demon's arms.

The growls and agony of the Terror potential demon were resonating heavily to the point where my ears were going numb but I couldn't just sit back when I finally got the chance to hurt something finally with my full capability.

'Yes, this is it...'

After the steam was blown what came was a pure prismatic crystal which was reflecting some of the daylight diverting in seven different shades.

The demon was also fascinated by such sight even though it was the one who was getting toyed with.

I didn't waste my time and using gravity manipulation, I accelerated my speed in a whole different league with my fist clenched in a tight grip.

'Let's end this!!'

[Titan Thrust]

Using my body as a spear with my held fist as its tip, I breached through the arms of the demon shattering the glass on my way, before my attack was met the place where the core of the demon resided.

In between its eyes where I knew would be the end of this battle and as I expected my knowledge wasn't just a hunch.

**CLINNNG**

**CREAK**

A cracking sound erupted with the impact before I felt something crystalline breaking inside the tough surface of the demon.

In place of a loud cry, I heard nothing from the monster after I broke its core. Only its heavy body that was falling in my direction made me realize that I won this battle without taking single damage at all.

My eyes went a little wide when a sudden realization hit me hard.

'Ain't I too OP now...?'

[Venessa's POV:]

'What the hell just happened...?'

In front of my eyes, human's greatest nemesis, a demon and a high class at that rose and fell in a single hour.

A [Terror Ranked] demon was something I could not even dream of facing with my current strength nor I was confident of winning even if I was to fight with my whole team including Kyouki-san.

A monster that could bring chaos to a whole capital surely sounds highly tough to defeat, yet I saw its fall right with my own eyes.

Since the time I felt the space around me changing and this humongous creature rising from nowhere, a sense of death surrounded me with my will to even flinch leaving my soul.

I was ready for a gruesome death along with my comrades and looking at Kyouki-san's expression it was inevitable for us to get crushed here, yet something miraculous happened.

The person who should have been dead by now suddenly used levitation so brilliantly that I started doubting whether he was only using a Magic stone or did he have any artifact.

But his levitation wasn't the only thing that left me speechless.

The high-rank spell he used, the versatility he showed in the one-sided battle, and the sheer determination which backed his confront blows made my mind go numb.

I mean from what I remember he was only a single element user yet he was using two different elements consecutively and High rankers at that.

I was astonished beyond belief.

I have beaten him a couple of times in the past because of the vulgar comments and deeds he tried upon me and my comrades, but he never countered with any spell at those times. And that strength he displayed at the end was nothing I could compare myself to.

[....%[email protected]?&%....]

Wait, was he holding back all these times when he could have wiped us with a single spell?

[℅®℅XX©℅&%@#@%]

But why did he showcase something like this today, when he clearly could have run away and left us to die here?

[%℅℅€%@&%%@&%]

Was it his plotting? Was he the one who called that creature to win our trust and become the hero!?

[....%&X....]

Yes, it must be that!

He must have wanted to show that he was more powerful than Kyouki-san so he could win over us and become the hero of humanity when he was the one who we should be terminating first.

Clenching my fist I bit my lips hard until a thick liquid didn't dye my taste buds as I stared at the haughty bastard who was clearly celebrating his fake victory with a disgusting smug plastered on his shitty face.

'Seriously, how low can you fall, you treacherous Austin Wright!!'

A/N:- Ah, some drama would be arriving and the commencement of the true story. And yeah don't worry I would add a lot of fluff shortly in the story.

Remember Austin never uses System's reward because of his righteous foolish thought process, which the evil Luna would break and make him go super OP in the future too.

Please support me on Ko-fi if you want regular chapters as I have to delay my work so I could write.

And do stop by the comment section tho...~
