From what Austin and Luna heard, there were various things that became clearer than before.
The demon who was on the verge of dying had already spilled every bean he could have, so what would be happening to him after this, solely would rely on Alex.
The major points which were revealed from the demon's testimony had two notable facts.
First, the person who helped the demons with the information related to Charles's whereabouts and the private Intel of the territory, was none other than Riley: Leader of the Explorer faction who was guarding the Eastern Side of the fort along with the Headmaster.
The Sakura-haired mage warrior had a tremendous potential to become a knight of the Royal order in the future. But the teenage fool in love made a grave mistake and sold his own nation's security.
His blind love for Sicily made him bring this catastrophe since the enemy nation promised him to reward Sicily if the plans went well and the demons achieves their goal.
But in the end, what Riley got was imprisonment in the underground jail of Eden Academy.
No one other than Alex, Headmaster Merlin, Luna, and Austin was aware of Riley's betrayal since it would eventually make the Emperor know that the demons were working under Southern Nation's order.
The reason why Alex chose to hide the aforementioned information, for the time being, was only he knew. Still, Headmaster Merlin only agreed to keep his mouth shut until the problem on the borders doesn't get resolved.
Luna and Austin didn't have a problem either, as the prior one couldn't care less what her schoolmates conspires. And as for Austin, then he wanted to achieve his system points, so this silence of the nations was perfect for him to do everything in secrecy.
The second interesting thing they found from the demon's memories was that this whole war and the demons involved in this were sent by the same nation where Austin and Luna went for their date.
The same place where Austin met the ramen shop woman belonging to the plain where Austin belonged in his previous life.
It seems the King of Southern Kingdom, Xylex, was preparing for something massive as even having a true powerhouse in the name of Summoned Heroes; the Emperor was planning to take Luna's strength for himself too.
Austin's temperament wasn't much good when he heard about it. On the other side, Luna was merrily smiling upon seeing how her man was getting worked up for her sake.
"The weird part is, why they didn't end the war on the border and infilterated forcibly. If the first line of defense, Sir Charles, would have fallen, then the front-on war would have been more advantageous for the demons."
Alex's slightly grumbling tone echoed clearly in the spare room in the cathedral, as he served tea for the duo.
Luna became perplexed upon hearing Alex's unsolved query which by looks seemed genuine. Turning her head, she saw Austin with a similar expression as her, signifying he also seemed to find Alex's trouble, strange.
"You don't know about it?"
It was Austin who asked, much to Alex's perplexion as the bespectacled mage blinked his eyes before asking.
"I don't know what exactly?"
Looking at his reaction Austin and Luna concluded that Alex indeed was oblivion about Charles' secret. From Austin's memory, Luna came to know Charles' true might. That's why she was worried about the arena battle between the two.
'It seems I over-evaluated you.'
Without any intention to talk further, Austin left Alex hanging in the middle of the chat, much to the latter's frustration.

After some more chattering, the duo left the church hand in hand as they strolled their way to the cafè to have their breakfast.
While walking with her hand intervened with Austin's arm, Luna seemed to feel worried about something. She tried to hold this conversation for after they ate, so the date doesn't get ruined, but her worries got better of her.
"Austin...you are planning to go there today?"
It goes without saying that Austin needed to fulfill the Villain's point anyhow since he wasn't sure what consequence would occur if the requirement fails, which he hasn't let happen in the past.
And for that, Austin leaving for Xylex was the best route to pursue as there would be many instances for him to change the world occurrence and future prospectus.
But what worried the silver-haired Saintess was the summoned hero whom the Ramen Shop owner mentioned to be in Demi-god class.
Despite not fearing even a person was demi-god or not, Luna strangely had a horrible suspicion about this whole situation altogether.
Hearing Luna's question, Austin felt wavering for a slight moment, but the resolve he had made was far more substantial than Luna's unspoken persuasion.
"Yes, I have to, Luna. I know what you are feeling, but I can't stop. More than my Villain's point or anything else, I want to get back on that Emperor for what he tried to do to you. So stop worrying needlessly and put on a face which suits more in this situation."
Austin squeezed Luna's hand as he spoke in a rich tone, making her startled all of a sudden.
Looking at his smiling face, which shrouded the determination he had resolved upon, Luna's mind became muddled, but in the end, she suppressed all her concerns, and with a beautiful smile, she replied.
"Let's do our best together."

At the same time, when the duo was heading for a lovely date time, in a courtroom of the palace, which was miles away from Gram, sat a group of people who, by appearance, looked like high-class nobles.
The room was thinly lighted with a centric round table placed in the middle of the room with twelve preoccupied chairs arranged neatly.
"I hope you all have heard about the demons' failure in Gram."
The person sitting at the forefront of the table spoke in a casual tone even though he was talking about the failure of war, no less.
The people he addressed, nodded without much contemplation since the news had already arrived hours ago, which led to the occurrence of this emergency meeting.
"My lord, but we haven't received any official alert from Gram nor any mana mail from our spies."
A man wearing a brilliant golden robe asked in a slightly confused tone as even after the demons failed miserably for unknown reasons, it was still unclear why Gram was so silent.
"Well, that vile ass Valek has been captured, so he must have spilled beans, but the person who interrogated him was none other than that bespectacled bitch, Alex. What can you expect from a sly fox? He must have been planning something behind the scenes."
The look on everyone's face, other than the speaker, became slightly ugly as they heard their lord mentioning the talented Magician of Gram's Court who was infamous for his dark deeds.
"What would be our next move, Sire?"
Another man asked in a slow voice as the matter seemed to be more complicated than it first sounded when they heard the news of the demons' loss.
"Now what? Summon the hero; we will send her to get the Saintess anyhow. Whatever happens, I can't let this upcoming offering ceremony be stalled just by some measly creature incompetence."
A gasp resonated in the room upon hearing the mention of the hero. Ignoring everyone's reaction, the Emperor of Xylex leaned his chin on his intervened finger as, with a cunning smile, he muttered under his breath.
"It's time for the world to know what is the true might of a real hero. "
