(A/N: - Before you guys start the chapter, I want to clarify one important point. The fact Saya was behaving so oblivion about the world and didn't react to Luna's appearance is simple. She didn't read the manga. Now enjoy the chapter~)
-----------------------------------
In a tranquil hall which by, furniture and atmosphere looked like a cozy restaurant. However, the atmosphere around a particular table made breathing extremely dangerous.
On a separate table, sat Kyouki while sipping on his drink while glancing at the table in front, and some time toward his party member who was standing near the entrance.
The party member mentioned was the olive-haired mage warrior, Sicily. She had a very nervous look, tainting her slightly mature yet charming face as she stood beside the shop owner.
Akiko also had the same expression as Sicily since the time she heard about the outer covering of the matter.
For Akiko, Saya was a tremendously terrifying being who could blow mountains with one hit, and from what the girl beside her told, it seemed the silver-haired saint was no bad either.
'I just hope my shop survives at the end of the day. '
...
Back on the round table at the corner of the hall sat three figures with varying expressions on their faces.
Saya and Luna, were sitting just opposite while facing each other, with Austin to their side in between, while glancing at the two with a dry smile.
(A/N: - Like C)
It's already been more than a minute since they sat, but neither Luna nor Saya have broken eye contact with each other and staring like they were evaluating each other's worth.
Austin concluded that he had to take the initiative as who knows how long this staring competition would go on.
"*Ahem* Luna."
Upon hearing her beloved's voice, Luna broke her contact as her gaze turned to a complete abort, and with a softness blended in her eyes, she looked at him.
"Yes, darling~."
**CRACK**
The glass which Saya was holding cracked before it broke into small pieces; as she apologized right away.
"Oops! I just got a little careless. Anyway, carry on, Onii-sama."
Looking at her chilly smile, Akiko standing far away, broke into cold sweat since it was the first time she saw the hero smiling, yet it didn't give a single good premonition.
"Hey, did it hurt? Lemme see."
Austin moved with an antiseptic and cotton appearing in his hand as he checked Saya's palm.
**CREAK**
Another cracking sound came from his left before he heard another glass breaking sound which naturally came from Luna before he saw the beer mug in her hand disappear into pieces.
"Oops! I also hurt myself. Care to heal me too, darling?"
Austin felt sighing since now he realized what was going on.
He sat back without treating either of them as he spoke in a stern tone.
"Can I have a decent chat with the two of you, without these small banters, please?"
**SWISH**
Upon hearing their beloved's plea, both of them used a similar kind of spell and cleaned the place along with themselves before nodding simultaneously.
"Okay now. Luna. She is the sister I always talked about and the person who helped me survive my last life. I know I have already told you, but she is the only person I have ever known as a family. So please try to get along with her."
The expression on Saya's face was nothing less than ecstatic, as with a blush, she looked at her Onii-sama in a way that Luna by no means liked.
But she endured.
She couldn't act rashly here.
** Inhale **
** Exhale **
"And, Saya. This gorgeous lady is my lover, Luna Eldritch. Despite having so many options and routes she could walk upon, she chose me at that time when I was nothing more than trash. If someone understands your brother in this world, she would be the only one. I want you to respect and listen to her, just like you do to me."
A smug was adorning the not-so-mature Saint's lips as she directed her amused gaze upon the raven-haired woman in front.
"You call Austin your big brother, no? Then you might call me sister-in-law or maybe onee-san for convenience?"
A thin vein popped on top of Saya's forehead as she heard the taunt, which made her regret why the battle in Xylex's arena didn't go in the way she desired.
The unspoken cold war continued when suddenly a peculiar warmth covered the hands of either woman before they heard Austin speaking again.
"I know the way you guys hadn't a great start, and it's kinda tough to accept each other so abruptly, but I want you both to know that without you guys, I won't have been here where I am right now."
Maybe it was meeting Saya after so long or the insecurity he felt from Luna; Austin was speaking those honest thoughts he didn't intend to bring up.
"Onii-sama..."
"Austin..."
Both of them looked at his smile, which spoke more than words, as they whispered while altogether dropping the previous expressions they had.
Luna realized how she was avoiding Austin's feelings since he came inside with his sister, which made her utterly guilty.
That same goes for Saya, but she was more concerned about something she might ask him afterward.
"Okay then. From the looks, it seems Akiko-san won't be coming near our table, so I will go real quick and order something for us."
Just as he stood up, Austin kissed Luna's cheek, which the latter accepted wholeheartedly.
As Austin went toward the two ladies who had been looking at the scene with curious eyes until now, the table again went dead silent.
Luna's lips were curved in a full blooming smile as she fidgeted left to right in elation.
"Don't think Onii-sama called you his lover; I will allow you to be with him. If you don't know, then let me tell you this. I love my Onii-sama more than as a brother."
Luna's smile didn't break out as she replied with a nonchalant expression.
"Look into my eyes, Imouto-chan. Do you think I take you even as a rival? For me, you are nothing more than another pest I can trample upon and continue my life with, my darling, just like before."
There was apparent arrogance blended with provocation, in her words, as Luna stated in the utmost confidence. And her statement wasn't only barks, since she already had shown the might she carries and the love she holds for Austin.
But instead of getting agitated, a smirk came up on Saya's seductive lips as she muttered in a similar tone.
"You lost the chance, Saint. Now, if you get rid of me, do you think my Onii-sama would love you the same way he does now?"
Luna's smile broke down in an instant as what she heard from the minx in front was true. If Luna wanted to end Saya, then she already got the opportunity, but now when Austin has reunited with his sister, there was no chance for her to break this bond.
It would be disastrous if Austin came to hate her!
No, she might end herself if that happens.
With a sharp gaze, Luna asked in a crisp tone after imagining what she had never thought about previously.
"What do you want?"
"Isn't it obvious?"
With the smirk still spread across her face, Saya leaned back as she crossed her arms under her bountiful assets before she spoke.
"You won't come in my path, and the same goes for me. Until the end of one year from now, if I won't be able to make Onii-sama see me as a woman, and make him fall for me, then I will lead the role of a good sister until the very end of my life. But in this one year, you can't take him away, or I might not give up on him, ever."
Luna registered the word not long after it was spoken as she fell into deep contemplation.
But Saya wasn't generous enough to give Luna time to think.
"Ara~ Is it fear am I sensing from the almighty Saint? I wonder if my dear sister-in-law doubts whether her love is enough to keep my Onii-sama bounded~."
Luna's eyes went cold in annoyance as she threw all her worries and extended her hand as she spoke.
"Just one year, and after that, I will make you my bride's maid."
"Well, we will see about that~."
