As they screamed, they gradually turned into ashes.

As she stared at Tang Sen—who was hanging his head low peculiarly—the Saintess actually knew that one of the main reasons why things had developed to this point was her impulsiveness.

“Get up.” Tang Sen looked at the Saintess in front of him, who was a little feeble-looking. He couldn’t get used to it. Nonetheless, he couldn’t help but comfort her. “I know what happened today has nothing to do with you.”

In fact, Tang Sen was right. He was well aware that the Saintess had actually tried her best to fight with all her might, so she shouldn’t be blamed.

Tang Sen had also understood this.

“Seems like we’ve formed a feud with the Dwarfs.” The Aquila Tribe’s Chief seemed to have found it a pity, but it made sense for him to feel that way.

“In the beginning, I thought that humans were the ones who did it, so I specifically got someone to stay on guard for several days. I also asked around and found out that there hadn’t been any humans in the past few days from those that I’m close to.”

Tang Sen listened to what the Saintess said with a look of praise in his eyes. He was very satisfied with the Saintess’s way of handling matters these days.

“It’s someone from the Capricorn Tribe,” said the Saintess with some tears on her face. The investigation’s outcome was clearly beyond her expectations. “After the Capricorn Tribe took our people away, they ate them up.”

After saying that, the Saintess finally burst into tears. She had clearly been suppressing her feelings regarding this matter for a long time.

Tang Sen could perceive her anger and melancholy.
