Chapter 1103: Acting

Julian wanted to see what the owner has for him, he just watched as the owner approached him.

Owner "What happened boys? Why did you bring this gentleman here?"

The Owner asked while looking at his men and then at Julian.

"Boss, this guys just destroyed the wall on the second floor completely"

One of his boys said with a grin on his face, as the owner heard this, he couldn't help but smile, he didn't expect his victim to serve himself in a silver plater.

Owner "Oh, then you will have to pay up for the damage"

The Owner said while looking at Julian.

Julian looked at the owner for a few seconds before nodding his head.

Julian "Sure I will pay, since I broke it, I will pay for it"

Julian said with a smile but the owner couldn't see it because of his mask. The owner was surprised by this man's answer because he didn't even try to defend himself, he realized that this might be a very big fish and he can extort more than he wanted.

Owner "That's good. It's good that you are an honorable man and know your mistake, so I appreciate that you are willing to pay me without much complaining"

The owner said while putting the kindest smile on his face while looking at Julian, the owner then looked at his men and smiled.

Owner "Boys, so what's the damage like?"

"Boss, the wall on the second floor of room 203 is destroyed, it will cost a lot for it to be repaired"

One of the boys said.

Owner "I see, how much do you think it will cost?"

"From my expectations, a million poke dollars"

The man said with a grin on his face, Julian's eye twitched as he heard the price to fix a wall, these idiots clearly didn't know what they were talking about, they just threw a number out there but they did go big.

If someone else heard this price, they would be sweating bullets right now but Julian knew that this all was just an act>

Owner "Oh, A million poke dollars? That's a lot, I don't think our guest here can pay a million dollars, let me be generous and half the money, 500000 poke dollars should be enough right?"

The Owner said while looking at Julian with a smile.

Julian wanted to punch the shit out of this man, the face he was making right now is very annoying, Julian could of course easily pay the amount but he decided to not do so and see where this little play of theirs goes.

Julian "Are you out of your mind? 500000 poke dollars, do you think I am an idiot? I am going to sue you"

Seeing that the man in the mask finally snapped, the owner smiled, he couldn't allow his victims to be sound-minded when he is trying to manipulate them, he knows that an angry man won't ever think straight and always take an unnecessary risk that has a very low chance of winning.

Anger has always been the reason for the downfall of many people, both well-known and common people have fallen due to the decisions they take in anger.

The owner knows this and tries his best to provoke his prey so that they make the mistake.

Owner "Oh, are you saying you are not going to pay up for the damage you caused?"

He asked with a smirk on his face.

Julian was also smiling behind his mask but he didn't want to show it to the owner yet.

Julian "I am not an idiot, I am not going to pay 500000 for a broken wall, I would rather go to the court"

Julian said.

He wanted to see how this man would react if he tried to bring the law into their argument.

Owner "Hahaha, you want to bring the law into this, go ahead, do it, I will make sure to drag that shit with all the money I have, let's see if you will be able to pay all your fee during the process"

The Owner went straight to blackmailing, Julian now understood how this guy forced people into battling him, he would threaten them claiming that he would drag the lawsuit and Julian knows how time and money-consuming a dragged-out lawsuit can be.

Julian "You can't do that"

Julian said angrily but deep down inside he was praising himself for his acting, he wondered if he should start in some kind of movie.

Owner "Of course, I can do it, don't test me boy"

The Owner said with a smile on his face.

Julian "What do you want?'

Julian asked warily.

Owner "Don't worry, I am a decent man, I won't take advantage of you, how about we have a pokemon battle and the winner gets the loser's pokemon. If you win, you don't have to pay for the damages but if you lose, you will lose your pokemon and have to pay 100000 poke dollars"

The Owner said with a face that resembled a saint.

Julian smirked under his mask as he heard about the challenge.

Julian glared angrily at the owner.

Julian "That's not fair, if I lose I will lose both my pokemon and money. You, on the other hand, will not lose much, even your pokemon is not on the line"

He shouted at the owner, the Owner frowned as he heard Julian but soon smiled again.

Owner "Go on, what do you propose then?"

The Owner asked.

As soon as the owner said this, the smile on Julian's face widened.

Julian "You have to put this hotel on the line"

Julian said as certain hesitation flashed on his expression, the owner frowned when he heard Julian's proposition but when he saw the man's expression, he couldn't help but smile.

Owner 'This kind thinks, he can finesse me, by asking me to put this hotel on the line, he thinks I will back off, dream on, kid. I can see through inexperienced fools like you'

The owner thought to himself, he believed that the man in front of him is putting on a front, he believes that the man wants him to back off.

Owner "Sure kid, why not, I will put this hotel on the line"

The owner said and started to laugh, hearing him his goons suddenly panicked and tried to warn him but the owner just shut them down by gesturing them to shut up.

The owner noticed the shock in his opponent's eyes as he accepted the challenge.

Owner 'Hahaha, this kid thought that I would back off but he is still very inexperienced to fool me'

The Owner thought and smirked.
