Chapter 1136 - Julian Vs Wulfric (1)

The day of the battle was here, Julian woke up early in the morning and got ready for battle.

With everything prepared he headed towards Snowbelle gym, the gym is on the edge of the city on top of a higher plateau that looked like a hill because of all the snow covering it.

And on top is the gym, the gym is quite big from inside and is also covered in snow, its walls are beautifully designed and coated with gold paint and its windows are painted with different colors.

Julian entered the gym and found a young man wearing glasses, the young man also noticed Julian and approached him.

"You must be a challenger?"

He asked,

Julian "Yes, I am"

Julian answered.

'Then please follow me"

The young man took Julian to the battlefield, when Julian entered the battlefield he saw a massive battlefield that seems to be completely made of ice, the surroundings his also covered with ice, the pillars are covered with thick ice as well.

The whole inner gym was completely different from what Julian had expected but he is not worried about the current situation.

He is very confident in his win because both of his pokemons that he is going to use today rely on legs or have legs to move around.

Across the battlefield, a big fat man with a white beard and hair walked in, the aura around him looked dominant and anyone in the room would become quiet if he entered.

Julian looked that man in his eyes and the man did the same.

Wulfric "Finally, I have been waiting for you"

Julian "Oh, do you know me?"

Wulfric "Of course, I can tell from those eyes, now Julian let's see if your reputation really lives up or you will fall just like my other opponents"

Wulfric declared while crossing his arms, the man is really big, he is 6 feet 7 inches, has massive arms, wide shoulders, and has a big belly, he is the most intimidating man one could imagine.

Others will be intimidated but Julian is not, he just smirks and laughs it off.

Julian "Sure, I would like to see how strong you really are as well?"

Julian said and took his place on the battlefield, he then waited for Wulfric to do the same, Wulfric walked towards his position with heavy steps and called for the referee.

The person who brought Julian here soon walked in with a referee uniform and took his place as a referee.

He then looked at both trainers and started to explain the rules of this battle.

Referee "This battle is a two on two pokemon battle, the trainer with no pokemon at the end of the battle wins, only the challenger is allowed to switch a pokemon in the middle of the battle while the gym leader is not."

The referee explains and asks both of them if they understood the rules, once he got a not he proceeded further.

Referee "Now both of you may choose your first pokemon"

Without wasting any time Wulfric sent out his first pokemon, his Avalugg, a massive pokemon made of ice standing over 2 meters tall and 3 meters long landed on the battlefield shaking the icy ground.

Julian also sent out his first pokemon on the battlefield as well, he sent out Clawitzer.

Julian's Clawitzer entered the battlefield and snapped his massive claw trying to intimidate the opponent in front of him but his opponent didn't take him too seriously.

With both pokemons on the slippery battlefield, the referee called for the battle'

Referee "The battle may begin"

He said and waived of his flag.

Since Wulfric's Avalugg is a defensive pokemon, Julian is not planning to wait around and drag this battle, even though Avalugg's physical defense is ridiculous, its special defense is not so much and Clawitzer is the perfect counter for it as Clawitzer's special attack is very strong.

It can easily deal a lot of damage to Avalugg, Wulfric also knows this but he wanted to see what Julian's Clawitzer has before he comes up with a plan, he has some moves up his sleeve which will prevent his pokemon from taking any damage.

Julian "Clawitzer, use Scald"

Julian ordered.

Clawitzer snapped open his massive claw and shot a stream of scalding hot water Avalugg, the water stream shot through the air creating shockwaves.

Wulfric saw the incoming attack and knew he cannot risk his Avalugg taking these kinds of attacks, not even once.

Wulfric "Use Protect and then Icy Wind"

Avalugg used Protect and created a forcefield in front of it and blocked the Scald, the hot stream of the jet crashed against the protective forcefield and caused a sizzling sound like a very hot object met a cold one causing an instant temperature change.

Avalugg's vision was being fogged by steam but it used Icy Wind and blew away the fog, the Icy Wind then carried on and tried to freeze Clawitzer.
