Chapter 1142 - The Shadow Monster

As the wild horde got closer to Julian's group, Gengar made his move, he separated from Julian's shadow and got right in between Julian and the hoard.

The hoard of pokemon saw the black shadow on the ground and ran directly towards it, from what they heard from the pokemons that got attacked and they were attacked by a black shadow, these hoard of pokemons realized that the one who attacked was the shadow in the ground.

Some pokemons used special attacks and attacked the ground where Gengar's shadow is causing multiple explosions but to their surprise, the shadow didn't disappear.

All of them suddenly came to a halt as they heard a creepy laugh coming from the show.

Gengar "GEGEGEGEGEGEGEGEGEGE"

They never felt so terrified before, they realized that this black shadow is dangerous but they are still confident in their numbers.

The leaders of the hoard decided to courage up and attack the shadow on the ground again but before they could move, Gengar expanded the shadow on the ground over 10 meters making him look like a menace.

The leaders that tried to step in backed of as they didn't know what was going to happen, they then noticed the massive shadow move, suddenly the arms of the shadow shot out of the ground and held on to the side, then the massive shadow itself came out of the ground and presented itself as a massive shadow figure.

Standing over ten meters tall, this shadow was clearly a nightmare fuel with crimson red eyes, massive mouth with red insides, big massive hands with sharp claws, it looked like Gengar but on steroids and much bigger.

But at the end of the day, it was not Gengar, just the shadow he was controlling, he could shape it however he wants and he made it look scary.

Seeing the massive monster in front of them, the pokemon hoard were scared shitlessly, they didn't know such type of monster exists, they backed off a little and tried to figure out how to deal with this monster, they didn't want to let go of the pokemon village and run away.

This area has a lot of resources for them to just give up and run.

The leaders decided to take the first step and used their most powerful special attacks on the massive shadow monster.

But to their shock, their attacks just passed through it like there was nothing there, at first they were scared but soon one of the leaders realized that if their attacks cannot touch the shadow, the shadow cannot touch them as well.

Thinking it figured out the shadow monster the Exploud leader, charged at the massive shadow while using Crunch, it created a massive jaw made of dark energy and tried to go past the shadow and attack the human behind it.

But things didn't go as expected, as soon as the jaw made of energy came in contact with the shadow monster it exploded sending the Exploud rolling back on the ground, it got back to its feet and looked at the massive shadow in confusion, it wondered why it didn't work, why did its other moves went past the shadow monster and this didn't.

As it was thinking the shadow monster finally took its first step and swung its massive hand at Exploud, Exploud saw the incoming swipe and tried to run but it got swatted into the air and disappeared from everyone's sight.

The other pokemon leaders were now shivering in fear, they realized that this shadow monster is not something they should have messed with in the first place, they cursed the pokemons that brought them here and tried to flee, the hoard slowly stepped back but Gengar was not going to let them go so easily.

The shadow monster charged up a massive dark pulse in front of its mouth and shot it at the hoard of hundreds of pokemon.

Though this dark pulse is not as strong as something directly from Gengar it is still devastating to pokemons in front of it, the dark pulse tore through the air shattering the sound barrier and hitting the pokemons on the other end.

A powerful explosion took place and all the pokemons were sent shooting through the sky and when the dust settled down, there was a massive crater on the ground, it looked like some meteor had struck the land causing such deep and wide crater.

Julian looked at the crater and felt annoyed, even though Gengar was holding back, he still caused a lot of destruction, he was also impressed by how much Gengar has developed in controlling the shadow and making avatars out of it like the shadow monster.

He could even change their properties from physical to nonexistence, this is the reason why some attacks got through and some didn't.

The Snover who saw this all is now even more shocked than ever, it was scared when it saw the giant shadow monster appear but it soon realized that the monster is on their side and will be fighting off the hoard, it saw how the giant monster destroyed all the pokemons that rushed towards them, it even saw the strong leaders of the pokemon village getting destroyed by the shadow monster.

It wondered how did the monster get so strong.
