Chapter 1152 - The Knockouts (2)

With John's first pokemon out of the battle, he only has one pokemon left in his team and he has to be careful with his next choice, even though he feels that no matter what his choice it won't change the outcome of this battle, he is willing to give it a try and see how it goes.

He sent his Carnivine back to its Pokeball and sent out his next pokemon into the battlefield, his ace, his Chesnaught.

The giant pokemon entered the battlefield and looked at the Clawitzer in front of it, it didn't know how the previous battle went but seeing that the opponent is completely unharmed, the Chesnaught thought that this is the final round.

Julian looked at the Chesnaught and didn't think much of it, even though it is much better than an average pokemon, it doesn't stand out amongst the other Chesnaught.

The referee once again waved off the flags and started the battle.

Julian "Use Water Pulse"

Julian ordered, he wanted to test what this Chesnaught has in store for him, hearing his command Clawitzer aimed his claw at the Chesnaught and shot a powerful Water Pulse at it, the Water Pulse zoomed through the air locked onto its target.

John "Use Spiky Shield"

John ordered. Chesnaught turned its back at the Water Pulse and activated Spiky Shield, a green aura covered its back forming a shield covered in long vicious spikes.

The Water Pulse crashed into the Spiky Shield and shattered but the Spiky Shield is still intact.

Julian was surprised but continued with his attack, he called for a Scald which will be much more effective against a grass-type move because of its burning effect.

Clawitzer aimed and shot a powerful stream of hot water at Chesnaught, Chesnaught continued to face its back towards Clawitzer, the Scald made contact with the Spiky Shield and created a powerful blast.

The Scald started to burn through the energy shield, one of the spikes which are directly under the pressure of the Scald shattered causing cracks to spread across the whole shield.

The shield then suddenly shattered and the Scald went through and hit the hard shell of Chesnaught, though the Scald didn't cause too much damage because of Chesnaught's shield, the debuff of the Scald took effect and Chesnaught started to get burned.

Flames flared up around Chesnaught's body and burned it bringing the giant to its knee.

Now that it is vulnerable, Julian decided to take this chance and end this battle.

Julian "Finish this, Crab Hammer"

With Julian's call, Clawitzer made its move and shot towards the Chesnaught at full speed, his massive claw glowed as it charged up with energy.

John "Quick get up and use Hammer Arm"

John made a quick decision and called for a Hammer Arm, the Chesnaught turned around and swung at Clawitzer with full power, both attacks collided creating a powerful shockwave.

The very next second Chesnaught could be seen rolling out of the smoke at extreme speed, it rolled multiple times cracking the ground beneath and stopped right out of the battlefield, the referee rushed towards the Chesnaught.

Once the referee checked on the Chesnaught, he called the result.

Referee "Chesnaught is unable to battle, the winner of this battle is trainer Julian"

Once the referee called out the result, the crowd burst into another loud cheer in Julian's favor, they didn't hold back at all, they became louder and louder as they cheered for Julian and his win.

His opponent John didn't feel anything, at the end of the day, this is what he expected, he never thought he would win this battle, and since this battle went as he expected he wasn't disappointed.

He was just sad that this will be the end of his journey here in the league.

With the results out, Julian has no reason to stay behind, he called his pokemon back and walked out of the battlefield while his fans still continued to cheer for him.

Julian then headed towards the VIP section and watched the battles that took place after him, during the battle, he took notice of a particular trainer that stood out a lot compared to others, this trainer is wearing a black hooded jacket just like Julian's and the choice of his pokemons were similar to the ones Julian had used before.

At first, he didn't think much but he soon noticed something, this person was trying to imitate him, even though it was not accurate to his style, it was pretty close.

Julian wondered who this person is and what is his purpose to imitate him, is he just a big fan obsessed with Julian or does he have something else to accomplish.

By now not many people have noticed this trainer at all, his ace seems to be a very powerful Infernape, he also has a Garchomp and a Tyranitar with him.

Julian decided to watch this person a little more before he takes an action against him, after the very first round of the top 128 ended, Julian decided it was time to return to his apartment

Julian left the stadium as he has nothing left to do here, he has no battles today, his next battle will be the day after tomorrow after all other trainers have had their battle.

Julian returned to his apartment where he was greeted by Chloe who arrived early, Daisy and Cynthia were busy with their work so they couldn't make it, having nothing else to do here as well, the two started to get it on.

Chloe's moan could be heard all over the room and it also leaked out of their walls.

Julian also maintained a close watch on the remaining of the Top 128 on the second day, he saw Ash advancing to the top 64 along with the trainers that Julian thought would end up in the higher rankings.
