Chapter 611 - Karl

Julian continued to watch as he saw one trainer after another coming and battling each other, it was not just random battle as well, trainers here looked at the trainers who are battling and would challenge the ones who they think are perfect they are the perfect opponent.

Julian realized how this all worked so he was about to give a try when he heard someone.

"This is bullshit, I came here expecting I would find some real challenges but it looks like everyone here is just amateurs"

Hearing this Julian stopped and looked down to see who this person is, he then saw a young man who seems to be around his age walk out of the crowd, he has a slim face with spiky red hair on his head, slanted eyes looked very menacing.

Julian decided to watch as he felt that this person is interesting.

"Who do you think you are? talking shit here"

A young man walked out of the crowd angrily, this young man is a regular in this battle club and it looks like the man with red hair has offended him.

"You know nothing, we come here daily to become strong trainers by battling each other, instead of talking shit why don't you show us your skills and if you win then I will believe that we are all amateurs"

Hearing the young man speak from them the other trainers in the club stood behind him and supported him.

"Hmph, amateur, let me show you what happens when you face of against a skilled trainer"

The man said and took out his Pokeball and got ready for battle, the people around the battlefield blood him but the young man didn't seem to mind it at all.

Soon a big middle-aged man walked in, Julian saw this man before, he was the person who he talked outside the club, seeing the man everyone in the surrounding became silent.

"Sir George, this person thinks that everyone in this club is amateurs, let me have a battle with him and teach him a lesson"

The provoked youth said to this man called George, George looked at the young man in red hair for a few seconds before nodding his head.

George "I Don George, the owner of this battle club will be the Official for this battle between these two young trainers"

He said and took his stop as the referee, Julian is surprised to see this, he didn't expect this person to be the owner of this battle club.

As George took his place the two trainers also got in their position.

George "Both of you introduce yourself"

He said.

"My name is Ken, I was born and raised in this town"

The offending youth said.

"I am Karl, I come from Kalos to answer to Champion Julian's challenge"

He said which caused a loud burst of laughter all over the hall, it is clear that all these people underestimate this man in red hair but Julian didn't.

He wanted to see what this man is capable off.

George "SILENCE"

George shouted causing everyone to shut up as they felt their soul shiver from that shout, Julian realized that this middle-aged man is a real fighter, with that aura around him anyone would get intimidated.

George "This will be a two on two pokemon battle, both trainers choose your pokemon"

As George gave the call both trainers tossed out their Pokeball and two pokemon entered the battlefield, the first pokemon is Blitzle an electric type pokemon that belongs to Ken and a Venipede which belongs to Karl"

Seeing Karl's Venipede Ken laughed.

Ken "Do you think you can take on the Champion Julian with your Venipede, you won't even be able to put a scratch on his pokemon"

Ken mocked him.

Karl "Hmph, Julian isn't the only one who can rise a pokemon from its first stage to a powerful one, I can do the same and I will defeat him and once I do that I will be called the strongest trainer, just beating him with my strongest pokemon is nothing because I know he is not using his best, so I will not use my best as well"

He said with a firm voice, this, of course, caught Julian's attention, he has never seen someone who would actually do this just to defeat him, all his opponents always tried to use their strongest o defeat him but this youth with red hair is different, this put a smile on Julian's face that no one could see.

This declaration of his, of course, caused many people to boo at him and called him out for talking nonsense but Karl didn't put any of those words in his ears

Ken "Dream on, you are very delusional, I will show you your limit"

Ken said angrily, he looked up to Julian and seeing some nobody telling that he will do exactly as Julian and defeat Julian was utter nonsense to Ken, he hated people like this.

George "Now let the battle begin"

George started the battle as he didn't want to listen to these kids blabbering about something he didn't care about.

Ken "Blitzle use Spark"

Ken's Blitzle charged at Venipede as its body was covered with electricity, it was a very powerful move, Julian could see that this Ken has done some training to perfect this move.

Karl "Hmph, this is nothing, use Toxic"

As Blitzle charged at it Venipede shot a spray of poisonous liquid at Blitzle which caused it to crash on the ground as its eyes got covered by it as well, Blitzle got poisoned by this.

Karl "As I said, amateur, use Venoshock"

Venipede then sent out a wave of poisonous energy at the fallen Blitzle which caused a lot of damage, Venoshock is very dangerous if the target is already poisoned as its effects get doubled.

With no resistance, Blitzle got knocked out.

It was a one-sided battle and everyone became silent seeing the result.
