Chapter 742 - Meeting Caitlin Again

The battle between Caitlin and Shauntal came to an end with Caitlin taking the victory and putting the scorecard between them back to a draw, and the way she used her new move was very interesting, the battle ended very quickly and it looked one-sided and it was.

Shauntal was caught completely off guard by the element of surprise provided by Caitlin, if she had not fallen for it she might have been able to pull the battle a little longer and maybe even score another victory over Caitlin.

But for this battle, Caitlin came prepared and knew how to bait her opponent and take advantage of it.

The crowd started to cheer for Caitlin for her win. Since the stadium was filled with 70% of her fans, the sound was massive and half of the town could hear them, Shauntal's fans were really upset, they really wanted her to win but today is not the day.

Julian also decided to take his leave since the battle is over, once he watched both contestant walk away from the battlefield he also left his VIP room as well, on his way outside the stadium he suddenly ran into Caitlin.

He didn't want to use the public exit so he went through the ones used by staff and trainers, since he paid the VIP premium he was allowed to take it and walk out of the stadium, Julian didn't know if he should greet her or just walk past her, but before he could think of anything Caitlin actually noticed him.

Caitlin "Julian?"

She called out as she saw the man in front of her, the one with bright crimson eyes, she could never forget those eyes as they left a huge impact behind when he saved Caitlin and Professor Kukui from Team Plasma's attack.

Julian looked at her and took out his mask and greeted her.

Julian "Hello"

Caitlin "I thought you would come to watch the battle"

She said.

Julian "Hmm, it was an interesting battle"

He said. Acknowledging Caitlin's methods.

Caitlin "Thankyou, so do you think you can counter it?"

She asked. She wondered if Julian can escape from her new move.

Julian "Hm, It's hard but possible"

Here, Julian is being humble, he already has several ways to rip right through those energy spots, he could just overpower them with his pokemon's brute force.

Caitlin "I see, by the way, are you only here to watch my battle, if Cynthia finds out about this, you will be in big trouble"

She said with a smile on her face, she was trying to tease Julian as he is her best friend's boyfriend.

Julian "Well, I am looking for ancient artifacts and monuments, I just stumbled upon this event and decided to see how other members of the Elite Four are compared to you"

When Caitlin heard about this, she was surprised, she didn't expect Julian to be interested in ancient and historical stuff, the biggest reason for her shock is because she didn't think her interest will match with Julian, she is also very into the history of any region.

When she was young she would always go around Unova and try to find anything that is old and looks ancient, she would often join Cynthia during her own adventure and go around trying to find stuff.

Caitlin "Well, if you are interested, I know about some ancient ruins that are present in the town, I can join you and look into it"

She said with excitement in her voice.

Julian "Hmm, are you sure?"

Julian is confused by Caitlin's behavior. Before she looked calm and elegant but now she looks like an excited kid who has been told that she is going to an amus.e.m.e.nt park.

Caitlin "Yes, I love to, I am really interested in these kinds of stuff, I have been trying to find some undiscovered ruins here in Undella town but till now I have no success, maybe we can work together"

She said.

Julian "Ok then, when do you want to meet and where?"

Julian thought about this and knew that adding Caitlin to the group might help him, this is her hometown and she knows about some ancient ruins, Julian wants to go through these ancient ruins that Caitlin knows of and continue finding the ones that are still undiscovered.

Caitlin "How about tomorrow, come to my mansion, I will be waiting for you"

Julian "Where is your mansion?"

Julian asked as he has no idea where she lives.

Caitlin "Oh, I completely forgot, here take this"

She said and handed out a small card from her purse, Julian took the card and looked at it, the card had her name, phone number and her address on top of it.

Caitlin "Please don't lose it, if this card goes public, I will have some problems"

She said. These cards are only given to very important members and not allowed for the public to be seen.

Julian nodded and put it away, after that he bid his farewell and decided to look around the city for now as he has nothing else to do, he also needs to call the League and talk about Sasha's situation.

Caitlin also bid her farewell and left.

Julian didn't know how to feel about this, spending time with his girlfriend's best friend can be a bit troublesome, he also knows how he can affect the women in his life that spend too much time with him.

He decided to keep some distance from Caitlin while he explores the town with her and make sure to not get too close to her either.

Julian then walked around the city to find some things that might interest him but none of them did, he did find some old monuments but they had no significant history that said anything about ancient Unova and their pokemons.
