Chapter 947: Getting Ready For The Finals

The world was ready for the Unova league finals, on one side is the new prodigy, the dark horse of the league, Yesh, who has shown to the world how strong he really is.

And on the other hand, is Julian, the peak of the mountain that no one is able to topple yet, people wondered if this time he will fall from his grace and a new undefeated, undisputed champion will rise up in the name of Yesh.

People are still doubtful though, after seeing Julian's Garchomp in the semifinals, people were skeptical if Yesh has what is needed to take down Julian, he has strong pokemons but they are no way near Garchomp's strength.

He has fast pokemon but they are nowhere near Garchomp's speed.

He is also very calculative but is it enough for him to overcome the monster that is Garchomp, people believed that Julian would use Garchomp at the end of the battle if he loses all his other pokemon and still wins the league.

They are not wrong, if he did that, he would win easily.

Julian who is resting in his room looked at this commotion that is going around the internet and just sighed, he couldn't be bothered with it, the finals are in two days and he needs to make sure that his pokemons are in perfect shape for their battle.

He decided to go and train them and walked out of his hotel room and as soon as he did, he got swarmed by reporters and got cameras shoved at his face, he was almost blinded for a second by the flash from these cameras.

Chaos ensued as they started to question Julian about everything they wanted to ask.

Julian "Everyone, calm down, one question at a time"

He said and calmed the reporters down.

"Julian, what do you think about your opponent in the finals?" One of them asked.

Julian "He is an interesting kid isn't he, I think he will be a great opponent" Julian answered.

"Why do you think so?" Another one asked.

Julian "Why? Didn't you see his battles, he did a very good job" Julian answered.

"Julian, how is your Garchomp so strong, does it have some kind of special powers?" One of them asked.

Julian "My Garchomp has no special powers, it's just very hard training, and regular rests."

"Mr. Julian, what is your reason being using your Garchomp, it was very clear that it was stronger than any of your opponent's pokemon?" Another one asked.

Julian "My reason? I felt like it. since my opponent was doing that the whole league, I thought it would be nice to give him the taste of his own medicine." He answered.

"Mr. Julian, will you use your Garchomp again in the finals?" Another one asked.

Julian "No, I won't, it was just a one-time thing"

"Julian, do you have a message for your opponent in the finals?" One of them asked while placing the mic in front of Julian's mouth.

Julian "Yesh, I hope you give your best in our battle! Like last time, I won't go easy on you" Julian said.

"What do you mean by last time? Have you battled before?" One reported asked.

Julian "I think that's enough question for the day, I need to leave"

Julian said and ignored all the questions thrown at him, he got on his bike and rode away leaving the reports behind, since Julian left, the reporters had nothing to do but leave, their next target is Yesh, they wanted to now question Yesh about his relationship with Julian and if they have met in the past.

Julian found an empty spot in a nearby forest and began his training, he looked at his pokemons and wondered who should he use for this battle against Yesh.

Yesh is a very strong trainer and Julian has seen his progress with his own eyes, so there is no way Julian is looking down on Yesh.

After choosing the six pokemons he is going to use, he put them through some physical training, he didn't put them through hell because they will have to battle in two days, he wanted them to be at their peak condition in the finals so he stuck with light physical exercise and stretches.

He also focused on training them on their energy and how to channel them properly, for this he was lucky to have Infernape and Gengar as demonstrators.

Things went smoothly for Julian and his pokemons, they all seem to be ready for the finals and Julian is ready to claim another league trophy.

Yesh was also busy with his training, just like Julian, he also didn't overwork his pokemons, he knew that they need to be in peak condition if they want to last against Julian's pokemons.

He knew Julian better than anyone as he spent months with him, Yesh already predicted which pokemons Julian is going to use so he set his team on that basis, and just to be safe, he also trained two extra pokemons if Julian makes an unpredicted choice.

Yesh is ready for this battle and he wants to win, he wanted to fulfill his purpose.
