Chapter 996: Blocked Path

As soon as Julian finished his fifth battle for the Viscount rank, Duke Turner arrived on the battlefield again and this time he has a Blue Cape with him, he approached Julian with a smile on his face.

Turner "Congratulations on becoming a Viscount"

He said and removed the white cape from Julian and put the blue cape around his shoulder making him a Viscount.

Julian looked at the white cape in Turner's hand and said his goodbye to it as he didn't wear it for much longer, he then looked at his new cape, it was made from a higher quality material compared to the white cape and the badges on it were actually made from pure gold and not plated with gold like the white cape.

He liked this blue one better than the white one but he expects an even better cape when he advances forward the rankings again.

Now to advance ranking again, he needs to win 20 continuous battles, he doesn't have to win all the battles in a single day, he just needs 20 continuous wins which he can spread through days.

Julian decided to end it for the day, he can't continue battling as his pokemons are tired, well Porygon can go on and on and on but Julian didn't want to do that.

He also needed to treat Flabébé as she is very tired from her battles before.

He went back to the Chateau and focused on treating his pokemon but he had no idea what was going on online.

Just after an hour of Julian becoming a Baron, the internet was already going crazy, his fans were already predicting how he will become the next Grand Duke, as they were still socking in the information about Julian being a Baron, the Battle Chateau suddenly updated their site with information about Julian becoming a Viscount.

And after another minute, another huge wave of internet chaos ensued, Julian trended again and this time his fans praised him like he was a god, there were also people who hated Julian because they were annoyed by Julian's fans.

Even though Julian has done nothing wrong to these people, they just hate him because his fans are so toxic in nature, they tried to diss Julian but they got buried under 'Your mom's a whore' comments.

Julian, of course, knew nothing about them, he is smart enough to not use social media under his real name, he does have a private account under Infernape's name and he makes sure to never read about anything related to him.

Julian rested for the day and continued his journey towards Cyllage city, he bid farewell to Duke Turner as they escorted him out of the Chateau the next day.

Turner "I don't think you will be able to use the connecting cave to reach Cyllage city, you will have to use route 8 and head to Ambrette city and then make your way to Cyllage city"

Julian "Did something happen to the connecting cave?"

Julian asked.

Turner "Yes, the inside of the cave is covered with rubbles, the route is completely blocked, work to clear the road is still going on"

Turner said.

Julian "I see"

Julian nodded and finally left, it didn't actually take him that long to reach the connecting cave as the Chateau was quite close to it but as Duke Turner had said, the cave was not accessible, this cave acted as a shortcut, a direct link between route 7 and Cyllage city.

People were having a hard time reaching Cyllage city by going around the mountain so the government decided to drill a hole through the mountain and make a cave to make things easier.

Julian looked at the under-construction sight blocking the entry of the cave and sighed, he didn't expect it would take him so long for him to reach Cyllage city.

He then made a turn and entered route 8 and headed towards Ambrette city, Ambrette city is one of the most important cities in Kalos as it contains one of the main harbors of the region.

He wanted to get to Cyllage city as soon as possible but seeing that his path is blocked, Ambrette city is the only option, he heard that there is a massive aquarium in the city so he can consider it as a trip before he reaches Cyllage city.

As he made his way towards Ambrette city, he focused on training his Honedge, his Honedge one of those very exceptional pokemon that are very rare to come so Julian is not going to waste his potential.

He wants to make Honedge his ace, with Honedge being a steel/ghost typing, Julian can make Gengar train him on his ghost energy and for the steel typing, Julian plans to bring one of his old pokemons as well.

But for now, he stuck to the basic, he thought Honedge the basic and how to be more efficient in a battle, Honedge caught onto Julian's teaching very easily which surprised Julian even more, the speed that Honedge was learning was comparable to Porygon, maybe not as fast as Porygon but pretty close nonetheless.

Julian is excited to see how strong his Honedge will really be in the future, while he trained Honedge, he let Flabébé have some rest and play around as she did great in the Battle Chateau.

As for Porygon, its training continued, the more Julian spent time with Porygon the more he started to understand this pokemon, even though it looked lifeless, Julian realized that the pokemon has a consciousness.

He asked the system if this consciousness existed before it was modified by the system, to which he learned that Porygon formed its consciousness after the modification was done, Julian was just in awe as he realized that the system to do so much more but for now, it has no use for it.
