Chapter 1048: Young Trainers, New Pokemons, Choices

Hearing Julian's answer, Sycamore nodded and got up and unlocked the cabinet under his desk and took out a drive from it, and handed it over to Julian.

Sycamore "The update file is inside this drive"

He said while handing it over to Julian, Julian took the drive and took a careful look at it, he expected something bigger but now that he thinks about it, Porygon doesn't need any external element, it just needed codes to upgrade and evolve.

Julian put away the drive and talked with Professor Sycamore for a while, after an hour Julian decided to leave and made his way out of Sycamore's office, on his way out his attention was grabbed by something.

He saw a few new trainers were about to choose their very first pokemon, Julian smiled and walked towards them, Sophie saw Julian and simply nodded to him with a smile, he also did the same, even Sycamore joined in.

Julian looked at the young trainers in front of him as well, these four young trainers are quite excited as they are about to get their very first pokemon, Julian always found this process exciting, these trainers and the pokemon they chose will become the best of friends.

It is very rare to see a trainer who doesn't favor his or hers' very first pokemon, the bond the trainers and their first pokemon build is very special, Julian decided to stay and watch this, not only is the trainer choosing their partner, even the pokemons do the same.

The first young trainer stepped up and stood in front of three pokeballs, Sophie smiled and released all three pokemons from these pokeballs, Froakie, Fennekin, and Chespin.

The young girl who stepped up first is very excited to see these pokemons, these three are of course the starter pokemons trainers can choose if they register for their first pokemon in Kalos or they could really just catch one from the wild.

Some new trainers register and obtain their new pokemons while others ask the help of an elder to catch them one from the wild, that is why not every trainer's first pokemon was one of the starters. Actually, most new trainers caught their pokemons from the wild as it is a much easy process than filling forms and paying money.

Julian watched with a smile as the young girl looked at the three pokemons in front of her curiously, there is excitement filled in her eyes and she is struggling to choose one, she looked at Froakie and thought it looked very cool, she looked at Fennekin and thought it would turn into a beautiful pokemon, she then looked at Chespin and felt it is quite cute and goofy.

As she was having a hard decision to pick one, Julian decided to help a little, all three pokemons on the table were quite great, and they were starter pokemons, any one of them could become a powerhouse in the future.

Julian "If you can't make a choice, ask them"

Julian said.

The young girl heard Julian's voice and looked at him, she looked at the tall man in front of her with his face covered with a mask.

Young Girl "Can I do that?"

She asked.

Julian "Well, it goes both ways, sometimes its the trainer who choose and sometimes its the pokemon"

Julian said and removed his mask to show his face, he was feeling generous today, he decided to make this day special for these children as they are about to choose their very first pokemon, it is one of the most important days in their life.

Seeing the man remove his mask, the young girl and her friends were shocked, they couldn't believe who they are looking at, then all of them shouted in excitement and rushed towards him in excitement.

Young Girl "Mister Julian, I am your biggest fan"

The girl said as she is starstruck.

Young Boy "No you aren't, I am"

Her friend right behind her said and stepped forward, soon there was a war between these kids on who is Julian's biggest fan, Julian just smiled.

Julian "Calm down now, you will scare the pokemons"

Julian said.

The young new trainers calmed down after listening to him.

Young Girl "Mr. Julian did your first pokemon also the one who chose you?"

She asked.

Julian "No I chose him but it really doesn't matter, what really matters is that you grow stronger together and learn to trust each other"

Julian said.

Young Boy "Can I see him, I want to see your first pokemon"

The boy behind her asked.

Julian saw no foul in showing these new trainers his Infernape, he took out a Pokeball and released his Infernape, as soon as Infernape came out the young trainers surrounded him, Infernape was confused at first then looked at Julian and saw him nodding, Infernape then decided to stay calm.

The young trainers were fascinated by seeing Infernape, they had seen Julian's Infernape on tv before but seeing him up close was very different, they noticed that Infernape is quite bigger compared to a normal one, his flames are bright has a blue glow around it, his fur is very shiny and soft, the whole aura around him gave him a sense of power and invincibility.

The young trainers couldn't help but admire Infernape, they wondered if their pokemon would even look this magnificent and powerful.

Julian "Now Sera, ask them lets see which one of them chooses you"

Julian said. He learned the name of all these kids, the only girl in the group is named Sera, Sera nodded and walked towards the three pokemon and looked at them.

Sera "Do anyone of you want to become my partner?"

She asked and looked at the three pokemons, the pokemons seem to have understood what she asked and suddenly grouped together and started to discuss something, then suddenly the Chespin stepped forward and jumped right into her arm.

Julian "Looks like it's Chespin"

Julian said. Sera is quite happy that Chespin chose her, she hugged Chespin tightly and walked back letting her friends choose their pokemon.

The boy named Asher stepped in and looked at the remaining two.

Asher "I choose your, Froakie"

He said and lifted Froakie in his hand, Froakie didn't seem to mind at all and is happy with Asher's choice, the third kid to step in is Corner and he didn't even hesitate and chose Fennekin, he is also quite happy with his choice.
