Chapter 1051: A Request For Battle

Lysandre "Mr. Julian wouldn't this world be a great place to live if everything was beautiful?"

Lysandre asked.

Julian "I don't believe so"

Julian answered.

Lysandre "Why not?"

Lysandre asked and frowned. He thought that Julian would agree with him since he is the trainer of such a beautiful pokemon.

Julian "The world isn't supposed to be all beautiful, balance is necessary"

Julian said.

Lysandre "But wouldn't it be better, eternal beauty that never fades away, imagine if everything in this world to keep its beauty forever, it would be such a great place"

Julian "Eternal beauty..... it depends on the person looking at it"

Lysandre "How so?"

Julian "Well I think every person has their own opinion, I will keep mine to myself"

Julian said. He didn't want to go into an in-depth discussion about things related to eternal stuff such as ever living or immortality, he didn't want to give this nub job some ideas.

Lysandre "I see"

Lysandre said and frowned, he wanted to know what Julian really thought but at the end of the day it didn't matter to him, anyone who couldn't share his vision didn't belong to have a place in the new world that he is about to build and that includes Julian.

"Mr. Lysandre"

As Julian and Lysandre were about to finish their talk, they heard a voice from behind, Julian looked behind Lysandre and saw a young teenager walk into the lab as well, the teenager seems to be around 14 to 15 years old, is wearing a black jacket, dark blue shirt underneath it, black jeans, has black hair and blue eyes and right beside him is a big Charizard with a Mega Store around its neck attacked to a neck plate.

Julian carefully looked at the Charizard and is impressed by how it has been raised, it is clearly a very strong one for its level.

Lysandre turned around and looked at the teenage boy as well.

Lysandre "Alain, you are here at the right time, meet Mr. Julian, one of the greatest trainers of the current generation. Mr. Julian this is Alain, he is a very talented trainer who is helping me in my research"

Lysandre introduced Alain to Julian.

Alain looked at Julian and suddenly a gleam flashed in his eyes, he couldn't help but be surprised as he is standing in front of one of the strongest champions to ever step foot in the league.

Alain has traveled the world and battled a few champions before but none of them come close to Julian, he wanted to battle Julian right now.

Julian looked at Alain and saw the glint in his eyes, he sighed inwardly as he knew the teenager was going to ask him for a battle, he then looked at Lysandre knowing that this man purposefully did so, Lysandre wanted to check out Julian's capabilities by seeing his pokemons in action.

Alain stepped forward with his Charizard and looked intensely at Julian.

Alain "Mr. Julian, it's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Alain and I would like to challenge you to a battle"

Alain said.

Julian liked the confidence of the young man, he carefully looked at the young man and could tell that he is a good person, Julian also wondered why he would be working with someone like Lysandre, and then when he gave it some thought, a person like Lysandre can easily manipulate a teen into doing his bidding.

Julian "Are you sure about this, you are going to lose very badly"

Julian warned Alain. The thing is Julian's current team isn't strong enough to face Alain's Charizard and his other pokemons are too powerful for this Charizard.

Lysandre "A simple battle won't do any harm, maybe Alain could learn something and Mr. Julian don't underestimate Alain, he has battled champions before, he went toe to toe with Steven, the champion of Hoenn"

Lysandre said.

Julian could tell what this nut job was trying to do but he didn't care, he looked at Alain and asked again.

Julian "Are you sure?"

Alain "I am"

Alain answered with determination.

Julian "Ok then"

He said and turned towards Professor Sycamore.

Julian "Professor Sycamore, can we use the battlefield?"

Sycamore "Sure, it would be my pleasure to watch you battle in person, it can also help me in my research"

Sycamore said.

Julian nodded and followed Sycamore as he guided the group to the other side of the lab where a big battlefield is present.

Julian walked into the battlefield along with his Infernape by his side, Alain walked to the other end of the battlefield and looked at Julian and Infernape by his side which has his eyes closed.

Alain "Are you going to send out your Infernape?"

Alain asked while looking at Infernape, he knew that Infernape is Julian's ace and he is a little excited to battle it, Alain's Charizard didn't think much of its opponent and flew into the battlefield and glared at Infernape.

Infernape who has his eyes closed suddenly opened his eyes and simply glared at Charizard, Charizard suddenly felt a shiver run down its spine as fear crept up in its heart and it could be seen in its eyes, it suddenly bolted out of the battlefield and stood behind Alain trembling a little.

Julian "It looks like my Infernape scared your Charizard, don't worry I won't be using Infernape, he is a little too strong"

Julian said and took out a Pokeball and played around with it in his hand.

Alain looked at his Charizard with shock, he never expected his Charizard would run with its tail between its legs with just a glare from Julian's Infernape, he wondered what kind of monster Julian's Infernape really is?
