155 Rapid Development II : Bloodline Fountain

Even though I had relegated much if not almost all of the work I had to do in concerns to the tower, I still had to check some things out. Since Malek would be in charge of any kind of development, he would also be in charge of making sure Nefisat is leveled up, at least until she decides to start doing it herself. But at least for the moment I had to level her up, and make a trip down to the dungeon. And after that I had to train.

As far unsealing vampires go, since there were not as much anymore, I would leave it to the soul clone. As long as the skill leveled up, it lasted longer and was a whole lot more resilient.

"Malek you said you have something to say to me. What is it?" I asked as I walked into the basement floor that had now been repurposed as a lab.

I was surprised. Since it's inception, I've not been in here, and I had to be honest it left me rather shocked. Based on Malek's specifications, Nefisat had been able to build and construct both the lab and it's equipment with startling accuracy.

Though everything built here was made from memory based on what the vampire race had as a lab thousands of years ago, but even then it was still way ahead of what earth could muster. The Ausolon clan also had the burden of being the record keepers of the vampire race, it was why they had so much knowledge to back them up.

I walked past other vampires who seemed to be working on one thing or the other. Looking at the way the lab was arranged, gave me an understanding of sorts about how Malek ran the place.

The lab was divided into five areas, with four areas located at the edge of it, and the fifth being right in the middle.

One of the areas seemed to deal with biological advancement, another technological, a third seemed to focus on construction since the tables there were filled with blueprints. The fourth was rather spooky, but I think their focus was on magical research and application.

And finally the fifth area seemed to be a general area where all of the different teams in the division come together to share ideas and collaborate. That's where I found Malek.

"My Lord Kael, I apologize for calling you out like this, but with Nefisat's recent acquisition of other towers, we believe we can begin construction on making the tower a strong hold and a rather fashionable castle."

I got confused. Seriously that was the reason why he called me here. I thought it was something really important. Why call me for this, I wanted to avoid things like this, which was why I gave him the job he has now.

"I need to give you a detailed report of what I have planned. If that's okay with you?"

'no it's not!'

"Sure no problem."

"The fence around the tower would be expanded for another three kilometers in diameter, increasing the scope of the barrier enough that it could hold and protect a significant amount of people. However it's for more than just that as it would give me enough space to properly design the castle and it's defenses. The tower's floors will no longer be increased. Any other subsequent and undeveloped part of the tower would be broken down, and used to transform it from a tower to a castle, making it a proper home for a king. The eight floors and basements will also undergo a period of change as they also will be reconstructed. Though the workload would be much, so it's imperative you level up Nefisat so that she can bear with it.

Next I already have a planned out route for the community's development. Using a blueprint for a city that was never implemented due to the war, we can begin construction immediately on residential areas and begin creation of the facilities necessary for survival. The construction would also be going on at the same time as the tower's, though that would need to be a little bit more of a hands on experience rather than letting Nefisat take care of it on her own.

Also subsequent test have been carried out on the idea you gave. And it is quite possible for plants and fruits having the same taste and property of blood to be synthesized. And just like the different blood taste from different races, they would be varied in their taste and flavor too. But we're not yet done with the tests, so it would take us longer to come to a proper conclusion and see if there would be any adverse effects to vampires if we take it long term. And finally I'm working on designing a weapons system for Nefisat, it should be done in a week or so."

Wow that was a lot to process to be honest, but I felt quite relived that Malek was taking his post seriously. Without a doubt, with his help I believe there was nothing we wouldn't be able to achieve. So even though I felt annoyed that he called me, I was happy for the effort he had put into this.

"Nefisat how much soul energy do we have, and how many levels can you gain from it."

[I have enough soul energy in the matrix to get to level 25. However doing so would exhaust the soul energy in the tower, and we'll not have much to carry out our required tasks.]

"Okay then, raise your level to 20 and leave the rest behind for the tasks."

The tower began to rumble and shake, as lights began to seep from it's walls. It was blinding to the overly sensitive eyes of the vampires around, and if it was his bad in the basement I could not imagine what the people outside might be seeing or going through. The quaking did not last long, before a system prompt came up in front of me.

[CONGRATULATIONS ON RAISING YOUR TOWER LEVEL TO 20. YOU HAVE BEEN AWARDED 2000 ESSENCE POINTS AND 500 ETHEREAL POINTS, ALL TOWER SKILLS INCREASED BY 1 LEVEL, AND TOWER SKILL AVATAR]

Another light flashed in front of me, and immediately there was a brown skinned girl standing in front of me. Her skin was a lighter shade than mine, like and Indian or something like that. She had a single white dress that was a little too transparent, and based on the gulps I was hearing from all around the lab, she was a massive temptation.

Without a doubt this was Nefisat's avatar, and the main point of her appearance was that she looked like a female version of me. A prettier one though. She gave me a bow, which was a little awkward seeing as she was floating three feet off the ground.

"Looking good Nefisat."

"Feeling good master."

I laughed as I turned and brought up her stat page. I felt her hovering behind me as she also took a look like a completely clueless child.

The biggest change would be the bloodline fountain. Thankswas the fountain that made me jump ranks almost immediately from the revenant rank to the BloodChild rank. Though I really had no idea how it worked. I turned to Nefisat, and she gave me an explanation even before I asked for it.

[The bloodline fountain resonated with the bloodline of any creature, stimulating their hidden potential and lifting them past the choke point of evolution. It is comprised of a combination of all the elements, and creation energy. It also causes mutations though, and it's not always good. Which is why it is divided into different tiers. A tier 1 blood fountain can improve the constitution of any race with equal standing with vampire's revenant rank, pushing them to the next level on the evolutionary ladder. And it cuts the time it takes for a BloodChild vampire to advance to Nosferatu by half. However any race at all, can only use the blood fountain once in their entire lives, any other attempt would kill them. Of course you're an exception. Apart from the fact that the blood fountain is keyed to your bloodline, making it so that you, you're descendants or any other person related to you could use for as much as three times, races of a higher rank than BloodChild won't be able to use it unless you increase it's tier. And once you increase it's tier to 2 no race with power or biology equal to a revenant would be able to use it without turning into a pool of blood and serve as nourishment for the fountain. The fountain is also a spiritual entity that's connected to both the tower and you. Only you or a chosen head of your family can summon it.]

"bloodline fountains are incredibly rare my lord. Even the seven great families don't have one, the ancient kingdom of the elves and dwarfs are the only two races on Shearath that have any. And even then,it would only be tier two at most. It will help in raising the strength of a lot of people under you. Though I'm not sure about the status of the elves and dwarves bloodline fountain, after all this is just ancient history." Malek explained to me.

I nodded my head in understanding as I turned to Malek and Nefisat and said to them.

"Alright you guys do what you have to do. I have some missions that I have to take care of, and everyone's going to be really busy for a while. So unless it's really important don't disturb me, work at your discretion, but make sure to give a proper report of all your activities in this time. Collaborate with both Farina and Asare, and Nefisat please behave yourself."

With that said I turned and left the lab, heading down to the dungeon.

I had to create new monsters and floors sinceI've received new biological templates from when Gus killed he sirens, and Teluna and Kodak the werewolves, and finally the Naga. Of course there's also the lava wolves that were hunted in the black district. So much work, but so little time.
