SPERO
THE LEO SUPER CONTINENT
THE WAR CITY OF PARABELLUM
SEMI-FINALS OF THE BEAST MASTERS BATTLE DIVISIONS
DRAGON PRINCESS: CASSIEL CASTITAS COR (CASSIE)
The waiting room was a little hectic, I was about to have a fight that if I lost would definitely not look good on my resume as a princess. I have an image to uphold, and so far I've never been defeated, not even once. And not because I'm a princess and people are scared of what might happen to them if they should lose to me(though they should), but rather because of the blood the flows through my veins. I am my mothers daughter after all, a war goddess true and true.
And in a city like PARABELLUM, a Speran city built to cater to the bloodlust and wildness of the Speran civilization, things like royalty doesn't matter, not unless you were a dragon king or the Sovereign queens; my mothers. No I've come this far because I've worked the hardest, I've trained and I've pushed and clawed for a chance to be feared, loved and respected by the people of Spero, my people. People who I would have to rule one day, or my brother.
But there's no chance of that happening, an invalid and an idiot that's lazy and has his head in the clouds with delusions of grandeur and daydreaming. My mother Asha says he's very much like our father, that he also liked to dream a lot too. But see where that got him, I rather face reality and fully embrace my role as the grand princess of Spero, this was what I was born for. My brother, if he had been smart enough to train and smartly cultivate the power that I knew was sleeping within his very bloodline, he would have had a power comparable to mine, he would be strong and as respected as I am, as our father was. But his laziness and lack of vision had cost him his eyes. I don't feel sorry for him to be honest, he got what he deserved for being so weak!
He's a man, but in every juncture me and out mothers had to go out of our way to train and teach him how to survive. And even when he lost his eyes, he never flinched, never cried, not even when his eyes bled and he felt so much pain. Nothing we did could heal him, not my runes, or the runes of other rune masters.
Just like our father he was hurt by the plots of a god, his eyes taken by an old enemy of our father, and enemy that had somehow been forged into a living weapon, a living god killing weapon; Cornelius Daneaitani. An enemy that's still at large and my goddess mother is currently hunting. It made me angry, but it seems all the men in my family knows how to do, is to be weak, to fuck up and met the women suffer for it.
"I hope he never wakes up!" I said to myself softly.
But in a room filled to the brim with vampires, werewolves and super powered humans, they obviously heard me.But it was not their place to say anything, I was the princes after all. Maybe they would go around and gossip about it, but that didn't make it any less true. The grand princess of Spero hated her father, the legendary hero Kael Cor. But who cares, he's been asleep for so long that whatever glory he might have achieved has been overshadowed by the other dragon kings, at this point, after thirteen years; he was nothing but a myth.
"You really shouldn't say that about your father, he loved you and your brother beyond anything else in this world. So much so that he was willing to, just so that you would have the power you have now, to be strong so that you could be able to protect yourself. I might have been just a child then, but I could see it, and even now in my visions I can still see into the past, I can feel it too. So I know how much your father loves you, just as your brother loves you." A voice said behind me.
I felt annoyed when she mentions my brother, after twelve almost thirteen years alive, I've gotten numb to news about my father. To me he was pretty much dead, I've grown up just fine without him, and I don't need him now, or ever. But my brother was a useless crap that was still very much awake and yet couldn't amount to nothing. Sure you can say that he's just twelve and that there's still room for growth. But fuck that! He's a vampire, dragon, human, demi-god, night elf all rolled in one. Someone who should be ridiculously powerful even as a child, but he's blind, all owing to his own carelessness, and because of that I've not seen my mother in over a year.
"Don't talk to me about my brother Ariel, you're no better than me Little Miss Oracle. Aren't you the one who was engaged to him, and tried everything in your power to break said engagement. He cares for you just as much as you think he cared for me, but that didn't stop you from discarding him aside for someone else. You might argue that it's because you're two years older, or that you've had a vision and the person you're with is your destiny. But I know the truth about you Ariel, just as you know the truth about me. And that truth is that you just can't stand Michael! Arghhhhh!"
A wave of energy and power washed allover the stadium, even in my soul space, my battle beasts were all rattled and shaken with fright by the intense amount of power we all just felt. But I was a vampire too, we were quite sensitive to emotions, and I knew without a doubt that the source of this power, of this energy was pretty much pissed as fuck! And if I had to be honest, if someone with this amount of power is pissed, he would be able to tear this planet in half if not outright turn it to rubble.
I was worried for my people, and I sincerely hope that whoever it was, wasn't angry at the Sperans or the dragon kings. Should a fight ensue, lives would be lost, and my first mother Asha was off world, second mother Xaseah was at the palace being a queen as usual. But if there really was trouble, then the person would be going after members of the royal family, going right for our weakest links, and right now we had two such weak links.
"Michael! Dad!" I was about to summon my battle beasts and use the teleportation skill inherent to our family crest, but I felt Ariel place a hand on my shoulder as her silver wings flared behind her and her sky blue eyes glowed so bright I couldn't look into her eyes.
"you don't have to worry or be panicked, the person angry is not our enemy.....Cassie! Your dad's awake, and he's calling for blood." Ariel said as her eyes stopped glowing.
Ariel's power as an oracle was growing, being able to see the past, the present and the future was amazing, and she was getting more and more better at it. Though seeing the future was not fully in her control yet, but she's getting there. However her words still struck a chord deep within me, and her pale face forced me to ask.
"You say he's calling for blood? But why? What happened." I asked her as I left the arenas, heading to our families secret cabin in the woods. It used to be Michael's and my hideout when we were younger, until he convinced our mothers to leave our father there, somewhere close to nature and life.
"Your father's angry Cassie, because some fool took the eyes of his son. And I've seen his death, I've seen it. Cassie...….your father's a monster!"

"An entire world raged as the anger of a being above a god washed through the cosmos. Spero, a planet that was the prime hub of a world tree and was once situated within a thinly veiled sub dimension. After the merging of the seventh, the sixth and fifth universe, the veil became too weak to hide them, and Spero became a part of an even larger and bigger universe.
Many flocked to join them, others wanted to take them. Those that joined them flourished and grew, and those that decided to take them learnt; painfully, about the planets ability to grow by assimilating other planets. And so Spero grew until it was the size of 4 suns. A planet that would take even the fastest dragon many centuries to completely explore. A planet with one single massive continent, lots of floating islands two beautiful seas, each separated on both sides of the massive Leo continent that completely encircles the planet.
We have monsters the likes which has never been seen, animals once thought extinct, we have powerful hero's and entertainment. We have the war games of the city of PARABELLUM; the fabled beasts trainers who train a variety of creatures native to Spero, and use it to battle for glory and riches. We have the arenas where the height of single combat is attained, there's the chess board, the virtual world where commanders would form a team and battle each other for land and resources, a battle that's held between noble children for the accumulation of more wealth and land.
Then there's the Pride Dungeons; two hundred and two sub worlds connected to the world tree, and home to countless species of monsters and animals and all sorts of life and treasures. It's mostly where the beast trainers go to catch their partners and train, where mages, alchemists, warriors and even the fabled rune masters go to master their abilities, and improve.
We have the most feared army in the universe, but also the most feared enemies too. We've been at war with the council of dark gods and the Toroth civilization for ten years. A war that's reached a stalemate that's in our favor. We have cultivators, vampires, werewolves, Nephilims, the Serpentis, Cameleonites, Dark elves, Gnomes, fairies, giants, beast kins, the Mer Folk, Celestial, and Dragons. We're the most powerful coalition of races to have ever existed in the history of the universe. And we're still growing strong."
"But Dad why did you start the story differently? Who's angry?" the little girl asked her father as he held her up on his lap, sitting on a hill that overlooked a wooden cabin.
Of course she had not noticed or even felt the wave of power that spread all across the planet. Joshua was equally as strong as the person who released that power, it was way to easy for him to stop it from touching his daughter. He's kept watch over Kael for quite a while now, if anyone asked he would have told them that he loved the ambience and peacefulness of Earth forest. Though it's name left much to be desired, but considering Michael and Max had both been five and six when they found, and named this forest, there was not much he could say about it.
"Well Kaia that's because a friend of mine is awake, and I felt the need to start the story with how he was feeling. And since he's the father of my student, I think it was quite fitting I started the story like that. Anyway you'll be meeting him soon, he should be quite an interesting personality. Hah! The wind seems happy." Joshua said with a smile on his face, as the enormous green dragon taking a nap behind him snorted in derisive mockery.
Of course the wind was happy, some people are born attuned to a certain element, some grow into it, others are made into it, just like Joshua who was once an ordinary human from earth, without the biology to use magic or even normal skills. The only one of the dragon kings that traveled across universes to get here, rather than being reincarnated or transmigrated like the rest of them. Obviously he was a special case, with an ability to see things most normal people can't.
Michael was born with the wind for the wind, his lazy, drifting character was a result of how connected he was to the element. Contrary to popular beliefs Michael was bit any less talented than his sister, he was just as strong and just as powerful...or at least he could be, when he was ready to embrace it. But for now he was just a boy who loved music and just wanted his father to wake up, looks like he got his wish.
Joshua raised his head up as he looked at the man floating in front of him, his chocolate skin was a shade lighter than Joshua's, but that was besides the point. He looked calm as opposed to his outburst earlier, probably because of Kaia. Joshua moved his daughter's fairy like butterfly wings to the side as he whispered into her ears, and she fell asleep in his arms. The dragon behind Joshua opens one lazy eyelid, gave a slight feminine chuckle, and then went back to sleep.
"So Kael how was the sleep, feeling well rested yet?" Joshua asked as Kael took a seat beside him, bitch looking over the hill to the forest in front of them, and the sun setting in the west.
"It was a little too long Joshua, I'm not sure I would be sleeping a single wink for another 13 years. I have much to make up for." Kael said to Joshua as he rested back on his arms, his leg hanging off the cliff.
"Well you have all eternity to make up for your longer than required nap, so don't worry too much. Though you might have to work a little harder with your daughter, the young lady hates your guts. Everyone say's she's more like you than she ever imagined, and in return she sets them on fire." Joshua said with an amused smile on his face.
"Are sure about that? That's sounds more like something her mothers would do."
"Yeah, I guess that's also true. I take it Michael is asleep. It's been a week since we gave you the catalyst that would fully rejoin your soul and spirit back to your body, and in that time he's not eaten or even moved an inch. He just sang." Joshua said with a pained smile on his face.
"I owe him much, I intend to make up for it, to both him and his sister.Your aura is allover him, I take it you've been teaching him and caring for him during my absence." Kael asked.
"Well my son is his best friend, plus he's my destined student, yours too if that oracle is to be believed. We're supposed to be best friends, and so would our sons, and their sons after them. I had to play my part, besides he's a wonderful kid, and Baeki would kick my ass if I didn't show him as much love as Max receives from me."
Kael looked at Joshua with a grateful smile and he stretched his hand out in a hand shake.
"Thank you so much for everything you've done for him, we should grab a drink sometime. But in the meantime I have someone to kill, and gods to burn!"
"oh that seems like it would be a fun party. Let me call the others, they wouldn't like it if we left them behind." And the Joshua opened his mouth and
ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR
