Medusa got up from her bed as soon as she heard the loud bang from the living room.
She was not too scared of the situation, maybe it's because she is still in the stage of mental pain; after all, she lost something she treasures so much, hope.
As she is getting up, she also heard her father rushing down to see what's going on. As he is walking down, she also heard that her father did not respect her as a human being. After she was kicked out of the house, it was about pretty much the whole night, not only her father didn't worry about a single thing, but also from her father's perspective, she is a troublemaker. Even though her father is not certain about who is the person that makes that loud noise. However, he still assumes it's her daughter without a doubt. That's is heartbreaking to know.
She comes to the hallway where it connects her room to an entrance to the living room.
She stands behind a white wall that is big enough to cover her body but still able to see what is happening inside the living room.
She saw three guys come up to her father once her father got down to the first floor. Then the shot to her father's leg.
When she sees that her father was shot, she feels sad and scared; after all, she is still her father's child. Until now she still doesn't know that the current father is not the biological father of hers.
After a while, she heard her father tell her mother to come downstairs for something, but Medusa knows that these people are no good. She then also worries about something might happen to her mother. Unlike the rest of the town people, she still has a little bit of conscience left in her. Although she hates everyone in the town, including her parents, she still is grateful to her parents for bringing her to this world.
As she was expected that the three guys threaten her mother to come with them to their place. She was upset and angry with the guys because they are hurting her parents.
However, everything changes when she heard that her mother wants to trade her in for her remit. She was confused at first because she just doesn't understand why her mother would say such things? Isn't it all mother should love their children? Why would she push her to the edge of a volcano then heartlessly push her down?
Quickly she realized that she was nothing but an extra person in the household. They never loved her; all her worries are nothing to them. If anything happens she would be the first victim of the chaos. She is furious but helpless; what can she do? Blame her parent for being such a monster? What can do get out of it? They not going to change; they will come back hard on her being so "rude"!
She thought of running away from this already written fate. She can she go? Not to mention this house is a seal to the death! There is no way she can escape to! Drops after drops, the tears from her eyes is falling down like a waterfall. She wants to cry out loud to release the pain that she had stored inside her; but if she did ever make a sound, her life ends here today.
She then subconsciously runs back toward her room, seek for a spot where can hide from the demons that are coming after her.
Searching and searching, places after places; there is not one single spot where can hide. She is doomed! She feels hopeless, useless, despair, lonely, but strangely a little comforting! She has suffered all the pain she can possibly suffer for a long, and now she can finally take a rest in heaven maybe. Of course, she still has to receive one more inhuman test before she can Rest In Peace.
She sits down on the floor looking like she lost her soul. She then leans back onto her bed, gazing at the ceiling just like a moment ago. She closes her eyes, picturing how wonderful would it be if she ever has a chance to get out of this town with Poseidon.
"Where are you, Poseidon?" The tears that have already dried off begin to come down again.
After all the extreme emotion had gone through, she feels there is something under her back is making her uncomfortable. She slightly lifts her back up and uses her hand to search for this thing that is making her uncomfortable.
"Uhm…?!" She finally touches that thing. It feels like a square shaped box, rough skin, not too big, just like...a Matchbox?!
She then grabs it and pulls it out to see what it really is.
Indeed, it's a Matchbox! But what is this Matchbox doing in her room? She doesn't recall that she ever owns a box of Match in her room. Just a moment ago she was lying on her bed too, but she didn't notice anything on the bed; where did this come from?
She looks at the box; it is a pretty and delicate box, colorful, nothing like the usual Matchbox she had seen before. It doesn't seem like it was made in this town. People in this town don't have the ability to create such a thing. There is a pretty looking woman, even prettier than her, located on the face of the Matchbox. She looks like a goddess; even though it is a hand drawn picture, Medusa can still feel the graceful sense through this pretty woman.
"Hahaha!" It is the laughs from the guys.
With no time left for her to check out the other side of the Matchbox. She stands up holding on the Matchbox; quickly but carefully walk towards to the hallway to check out what is happening
She saw her mother crawling towards her room; closer and closer, it's only a few steps away until she can reach her room.
"...!" What is she going to do?!
She got nervous and tighten her hand with the Matchbox in it. She looks through her hand onto the Matchbox, then glances at her bed that is made out of wheatgrass.
She thinks she knows what to do.
