Medusa looks at the boy shock because she doesn't know what to react to the weird statement that he made to her.
"What the creatures?" Medusa asks.
"What do you think of the creatures?" The boy asks.
"They are evil; they take away people's children! They takeaways live!" Medusa answers.
"You don't see the essence of these creatures! You only see the outer of these creatures. Have you hear of the phrase, don't judge a book by it's cover?" The boy asks.
Medusa shakes her head.
"Don't judge the book by its cover means that, the outside appearance of a thing is not enough to justify it. For example, a beautiful woman holding a man in her arms doesn't mean that this beautiful woman is sad because an enemy hurts the man in her arm. Instead, it can be this beautiful innocent woman is the one who injured the man and she is there holding him to give him the last shot." The boy explains.
Medusa nodded her head like she understands what the boy is saying.
"Likewise to the story I'm telling you, the second family invites the first family into the house to look out for them, but secretly the second family wants to use the first family to satisfy their desire. Therefore, the creature that I'm describing to you might sound horrific, evil, fierce; keep in mind that those pictures you have in your head about the creatures are not who they are. Think deep what I mean by wanting you to become the creatures." The boy said.
Medusa looks down at her feet; she notices that she is wearing a beautiful, bright red color shoe. A weird looking shoe she has never seen before in the town.
"What does he mean by saying wanting me to become the creatures?" Medusa is questioning her self inside her head.
"Okay!" Suddenly the boy breaks the silence,
"You can keep looking for answers while listening to my story; that might help you understand better."
Medusa didn't pick up her head, but she gives him a nod to notify him she is okay with it.
"As the second family is walking up to the room that the first family is staying in. The first family supposes to sleep and wait for their death to arrive upon; unfortunately, they didn't fall to sleep. Instead, the whole family is wide awake because they hear a loud and familiar noise rings up from the ground floor. Moreover, the first family knows that the second father has gone downstairs to get food, and horrific creatures are living underground in this house. Therefore, with their first guess after hearing the noise, they immediately know what is going on.
What are they going to do? They have no place to hide, not only that they have three people that need to get under cover, but also they don't know the house that well to find a hiding spot under such short amount of time. All they can do now is sit in the room quietly and waits for the best to happen; like the second father get eaten by the creatures, or fall stairs and breaks his bones. However, one thing for sure is that all the expectation they are hoping is never going to happen.
'Tap...Tap...Tap' The sound of the shoe hitting against the floor is making the first family more and more nervous. They are debuting wheater they need to rebel against the second father, or they do what the second father tells them.
'Knock, knock, knock!' The door is making noise to remind the first family's time is getting slimmer and slimmer.
'Hey, guys! I've brought you food!' The second family lies.
The second father waits for a response patiently. The second father finally ignores what might the first family thinks and break into the house. When the second family walks into the room; there are four shadows slip out the open front door. They rush down to the ground floor trying to escape from their destiny. For the second father, not too long of searching he finally notices something strange; the room is that small, and they don't know anywhere in this house. They are no way that they still inside the room waiting for him. But, where can they go? The second father walks back out of the room not noticing the door is open the whole time. After shutting the door, he walks around the floor where the first family is offered to stay.
'Creatures! Creatures!' The father quietly summons.
'Yes? What do you want!' The creatures sound like its being irritated by something happened in the past.
'The second family is trying to kill us! I beg your help! Please! Help us get through this!' The first father is incoherently speaking to the creatures.
'Sure! What will you offer?' The creature is finally not the ones who make an offer to people.
'Offer? I don't have anything valuable on me right now!' The father knows the creatures will not help unless he gives up something he values the most to them. However, what can he do at the moment, he doesn't have the price for the creatures and the second father is coming to get them. The first father is begging for a miracle to happen that makes the creatures accept to help them for free.
'Yes, you do!' The creatures hints.
'I do?' The first father looks back at his family and then doze off into space.
The creature did not rush him to make an offer; but, the second father cannot wait that long. The second father knows that the first family spotted his conspiracy, and he needs to hurry up to get them before they runs away. He brings his family and kids along for protection; in his mind that the first family might use his family to go against him. The family will murder everybody to vent their anger that has kept inside." The boy switches the character to creature more vivid picture for Medusa.
"So what do you think is going to happen next" The boy is trying to get Medusa to involve in the story.
"I think I know why you want me to become a creature. I was thinking about the phrase 'Don't judge a book by its cover,' and the times the creatures show up in the story. I think I know now what is the creatures' essence" Medusa suddenly looks up at the boy with a serious, but filled with excitement esppersion.
"Ow?! Really? Let he hear it." The boy didn't seem to care much about that Medusa is not answering his original question.
