A new day a new feel, after a series of unfortunate event, the boy and Medusa are back on their journey to their freedom. There is an ancient Chinese proverb, "After every crisis, there is an opportunity." Which means that the boy and Medusa have been through their toughest times, the good times will come to them. However, that is not the case for the boy and Medusa; Its maybe Medusa's lucky is not so great, or it is because the boy is not a luck-bringer, to be exact he is the definition of bad luck.
Not too long after they solved their first problem, the man that hunts them; here comes their second problem. It is like the problem never can be finished with Medusa because she is always surrounded herself with it. Now she is facing a life or death situation; she needs food because she has not eaten in a day. Last night the man had enough meat for her and himself; however, she didn't take any of it because she needs to get out of that place as soon as possible, if not the man will capture her and puts her in hell.
"You look bad, Medusa!" The boy said by her ear.
"I'm hungry." After the incident, Medusa has changed her personality completely. She used to be shy and doesn't have the guts to answer anything, but now she is straightforward and doesn't care about anything. That is why she sounds cold and heartbroken.
"Huh? There something moving behind those trees!" The boy smiles,
"Looks like our dinner is ready!"
"What do you mean?" Medusa confuses.
"You silly girl!" The boy smiles and explains,
"If that thing behind those trees is animals you can kill them and cook them for dinner. However, we have one problem, and that is your gun" The boy points at the rifle, "It only has some many bullets to kill one of them. If you miss some of those bullets you will get eaten alive; on the other hand, if you are lucky enough to get all your bullet on target, then your dinner is served. On another condition, which is your worst nightmare, you will face so much animal that you won't be able to handle any of them because you will be surrounded by them and gets killed instantly."
"Then why you say my dinner is ready? If that's the case, then I won't have any chance to get them?" Medusa confuses.
"Right question! Judging by the movement and the quantities of steps that thing is making, I'm sure it is not animal!" The boy smile even more extensive.
"Then what is it?" Medusa still under confusion.
"There is only one living being that matches all the condition." The boy said.
"What do you mean?" Medusa asks.
"First things first! You need to be smarter! I can't always be telling you things! You know people can't see me. If you take to me all the time when people is around they will think you are crazy. That will ruin your whole life right there! You understand!" The boy gets a little upset when Medusa don't think about things on her own.
"Okay..." Medusa puts her head down and quietly answers.
"Medusa..." The boy gentle kisses Medusa on the forehead and said,
"You know I'm just a little worried about you! I want to help you! I don't want to ruin your fun and freedom! I'm sorry if I'm a little rush on you! Will you forgive me?"
Medusa looks up at the boy and said,
"Will you always be around me?"
"Yes! I will! You can count on that!" The boy romanticly said,
"Now, let's get back to business, shall we?"
"Okay." Medusa answers.
"If the things behind those trees are not animal what do you think it is? When you think, I want you to think about the second question I'm about to ask you right now. What are other living beings that will come to this forest at this time of the day?" The boy guides Medusa to the right thinking process.
"Other than animals that come to the forest...? Is it human? The town people?" Medusa uncertainly answers.
"Medusa, When people ask you questions. You will have to give them a sure answer; even if you are not sure if you are right or not. Sometimes, humans are strange; they don't put their trust in whatever that answer you give them, they put their faith on the attitude that you have on your answer. In another word, If you sound very positive about your response; even the answer you give them is false, they will still trust you because your attitude is convincible. Now, do you understand me?" The boy didn't reply to Medusa's answer, but instead, he teaches Medusa a valuable lesson that will save her life in the future.
"Okay! I understand!" Medusa nodded her head and answers.
"Now rephrase your answer one more time for me." The boy smiles and pets Medusa on the head.
"They are human. The town people that come around hunting for food." Medusa answers again, but this time she responds it with pride and certainty.
"Yes, you are right. Now let me explain to you why human means food for you." The boy said.
"I got this." Medusa cuts the boy off; looks like she is getting the hang of using her brain instead of always asking the boy for answers.
"Oh?" The boy smirks.
"Yes!" Medusa responds.
"Let me hear it then!" The boy crosses his feet and flows in the air.
"The reason why the town people would come to this forest is they need food for themselves. Therefore, they are here to hunt food, the animals, so they can bring it home to get through the week or months. If these people are lucky enough to find their prey, then I can go to them and take it away. However, if they can't see any, then at least they will have something on them that I also can take away for myself." Medusa analyzes.
"Not bad, not bad! You are half right!" The boy gives a strange comment on Medusa's explanation.
"What do you mean?" Medusa confuses.
"Not bad that you can think of all those in such short notice!" The boy sweeps her face,
"I say you are right because those are the ways you can get your food. However, it is not a safe idea." The boy explains.
"Why? What other ideas we can use?" Medusa asks.
"Hang on! Let's figure out why your idea is excellent but unusable! Every mistake is an experience for you to learn the correct answer. First, if you go up to them and takes their food, what do you think will happen to you? Second, If they have neither of the things you mention what are you going to do then? Third, I don't think your gun has more bullet than them, nor your shooting skill has an advantage on that human over there." The boy points at the tree a mile away and said.
Medusa didn't answer; she falls into silence after hearing the boy's critics.
"Before you can start your plan, you need to think about a backup plan. Or you have to think harder to find out if there is an even better plan. Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets the mind to it. Ideas are unlimited, but one's vision isn't." The boy crosses both of his arms and places it behind his head as a pillow and relax flows in the air.
