Displaying such tattoos in public, revealed West's determination and goals. Which won the cheers of the audience.

Tang Yan turned around and left the boxing gym.

West was very clever. When facing an opponent who was good at combo punches and swarming as well, he used defense to avoid the opponent's sharp edge and then riding his opponent's exhaustion, he overturned the situation and reversed it placing him under pressure, forcing mistakes.

After two days of rest and training, the World Championships entered the sixth match day, which was also the quarter-finals stage of each weight class.

As the fights entered the quarter-finals, the number of spectators skyrocketed. Basically, the entire boxing gym was filled. The scale of nearly 4,000 people made the atmosphere on site boisterous.

After the boxers completed their pre-match warmups, the quarter-finals began.

The intensity of the fights fell slightly as entering the quarterfinals, the strength of the boxers were more closely matched.

In the first 49-kilogram match, even as defending Olympic champion, Zou Shiming ran into a tough fight against Cuba's Juan Medina. But eventually grinding it out he beat his opponent 16 to 11 successfully reaching the semifinals.

In the 56-kilogram match, Lázaro Álvarez won against the World Championship defending champion Gavin Frankie, the two men fought all the way until the middle of the fourth round.

Their scores were equal, attracting cheers from time to time, when in a flash Álvarez sidestepped a punch and threw a beautiful right to the head of Gavin Frankie, sending down his opponent.

Álvarez knelt down in the ring after hearing the bell. Obviously, no matter who lost or won this fight, it was a fatal blow to the other side.

With the end of that fight, the quarterfinals of the 56kg class were all over and were to be followed by the quarterfinals of the 63kg class.

The first fight was Lomachenko, the Ukrainian still showed a strong performance. Facing the German boxer Eugen Burhard, he only took two rounds to TKO his opponent and easily broke into the semifinals.

After Lomachenko's match, Tang Yan vs Ashley West followed.

Lomachenko didn't stay at the scene after his fight, he left the boxing hall directly, perhaps it was because Tang Yan and Ashley West wouldn't be his opponent in the next round.

After Lomachenko left, some of the audience followed the same way, but most of them stayed.

Although he wasn't an enormous hit, Tang Yan was eye-catching in the preliminaries and that in addition with Ashley West's record attracted attention.

The fighters on both sides were preparing their protective gear, as the commentators excitedly discussing Lomachenko's performance, slowly began to shift focus to their fight.

"One is a newcomer from China, who's being called 'The Boxing Killer' by his fans. He's pulled off a spectacular row of victories so far as well, even taking out one of the main contenders, Luke Jackson right off the bat.

The other is Ashley West also known as 'The Jackal' his record so far I'm sure we don't have to cover again. He's a tremendous up and coming talent hoping to help establish the renaissance of British boxing, a top level swarmer and he just defeated our local boy Kamfi Masimov in the previous round. The encounter between these two is destined to be a Mars-to-Earth showdown" The main commentator said with great admiration.

"Tang Yan's showed a lot of different styles but he seems to favour counterpunching though he's able and willing to rain down combos if given the opportunity.

Whereas West seems to be a swarmer through and through, though he can adjust to defensive counter attacking where need be. A shield vs spear duel, fire and ice, such a fight is indeed worth looking forward to." The guest commentator agreed.

The commentator's words had a good effect, the fight hadn't started, but the atmosphere was beginning to heat up.

When the boxers from both sides were introduced to the crowd, there were cheers from the audience.

After Tang Yan and Ashley West finished putting on their protective gear, they jumped into the boxing ring one after another.

West walked around the boxing ring after he took the stage, waving his hand while walking.

He was clearly a passionate boxer.

A boxer with ideals and passion, he was destined to be loved by the audience.

And sure enough, the atmosphere at the scene was driven up by him.

Tang Yan didn't respond much to West's performance but he couldn't help but smile at his flamboyancy.

Seeing the audience liven up, West walked to the center of the ring and smiling at Tang Yan, he said:

"Tang Yan right, I know you're a good boxer. But to fulfill my dreams, your run must come to an end here!"

Hearing West's words, Tang Yan couldn't hold back and muffled out a laugh.

He sounded like the main villain of an anime.

Seeing West frown, he said apologetically, "Sorry."

Then said seriously: "I admire your dreams, but I think there might be some twists and turns in your path."

"Hahaha, come on then! Let's go!" - West replied with a smirk.

The referee ran through the opening sequence and West reached forward. In turn Tang Yan reached out and touched gloves with him, then retreated away.

West stepped back slightly, but then launched an offensive, seeing Tang Yan draw back so much.

Left jab, right jab, left jab.

After a set of tentative jabs at Tang Yan, he took two steps forward before feigning leftwards and throwing a right hook followed by a left to Tang Yan's midriff.

"Clean connection, a perfect left right cross by Ashley West!" The on-site commentator said narrating West's move.

However, the commentator's voice hadn't fallen when West, trying to shrink into defense, couldn't get his arms back in place as Tang Yan launched a sharp uppercut that directly broke through his defense and caught him cleanly under the chin.

It was too sudden, and there was an uproar.

West, the up and coming newcomer and one of the pre-tournament favourites was rocked onto the canvas.
