-UNEDITED-
At Hansen Mansion, Kimmy only locked herself inside the room the whole day, doing nothing but only watched the television or read some random books. She also ate all her meals inside her bedroom. It was already evening, and it was time for her to go to bed, so she turned off the television and grabbed her mobile phone on her bedside table. It was still off.
Another sigh came while she stared at it, wondering if she would turn it on already or wait for tomorrow. Ah, another day tomorrow but this time, she was sure she would cross paths again with Cain whether she liked it or not. It was the Coronation Day tomorrow, and as part of the royal family, her attendance was a must.
Kimmy bent her legs so she could hug her knees. She remained in that position for a long time while absentmindedly stared in a particular direction.
She agreed to meet Harry, but she did not give him yet any details when and where. She and Cain enjoyed getting intimate with each other, but that doesn't mean they already loved each other. Physical attraction was very different from more profound feelings. But what if she had deep feelings for Cain as well but didn't just know?
"How will I know?" Kimmy mumbled. She was utterly clueless about how she could tell if she already loved a person. Yet Kimmy was claiming she loved Harry before! She felt irritated that she wanted to pull her hair or slap her cheeks left and right.
"Kimmy, get a hold of yourself. You're no longer a child!" Kimmy mumbled.
She opened her mobile phone and ignored all unread messages and all missed calls. What she did first was to message Harry that she could meet him tomorrow evening. She also gave him the place.
[Alright. Thank you, Kimmy, and see you tomorrow.]
Kimmy wanted to meet Harry and see if she would feel the same thing she did while with him at country D, like how Kimmy felt whenever she was with Cain? Would she feel the same thing? Would she feel the same if she kissed Harry? The same feeling she felt whenever she kissed Cain?
Her heart used to flutter with Harry around like how it was fluttering whenever she was with Cain now.
"I'm definitely in a complicated mess right now!" she buzzed like a bee as she started opening unread messages and saw all missed calls.
Her forehead creased, seeing no message came from Cain.
"Seriously?" she muttered in disbelief. She blinked several times and looked again.
It was so unlike him not to message or call her for a day. She waited, knowing Cain would probably call her tonight.
'Why am I waiting?' Kimmy mused.
'Because you like him!' her inner self scoffed.
"Like and love… they are two different things," she mumbled, reminding herself that she used to like Harry so much as well and what if she was still feeling the same thing now that he was around? He could like someone but not love him.
Kimmy closed her eyes when the intimate scene between her and Cain flashed so suddenly in her eyes. She had a dilemma since morning because of it. She was curious about what Cain was thinking right now, but she could not bother to ask about what they did because of embarrassment.
She flinched, and her heart suddenly raised when her mobile phone rang. Her eyes rounded, seeing the caller ID. It was Cain. She gulped as she stared at the blinking screen of her mobile phone. She was in debate whether to answer the call or not.
She did not know why she ended up answering his call.
"Finally, your phone is on. Do you plan to run away from me? DIdn't we agree to stick together for three months, Kimberly? Why are you hiding from me now? Is it because of last night? There's nothing to be embarrassed about because we both like what happened," Cain stated in a row before Kimmy hung up.
"Are you drinking?" Kimmy beamed because Cain's voice sounded like he was drunk.
"Oh yeah, I'm at a party with a friend…" Cain replied.
"Cain, baby! Come here and let's drink more! I will drive you to heaven, so don't worry about getting drunk," a woman spoke that Kimmy clearly heard.
"Ahh, let's end the call since you seem to be on a date. Let's talk when you are sober!" Kimmy grunted and quickly pressed the end button. Her face darkened with annoyance.
Cain shook his head and removed the hand of Liza on his arm.
"Stop it, Liza. You drank too much already. Where is your brother? He should get you back home!" Cain scolded his tactless friend. He had no plans to attend the birthday party Liza, but he thought it would be nice to get out for a while so his head would stop thinking about Kimmy, but it was not working since he ended up calling Kimberly.
Then a sudden idea came to him, and he looked at Liza, asking, "Where's Dino?"
Liza pointed to him in the direction of Dino, so Cain went there.
Kimmy, who was still sulking, heard the ringing of her mobile. She quickly answered, seeing it was Cain.
"What do you want now?!" she yelled.
"Wow, easy. I think I made a wrong call here," a different voice of a man spoke from Cain's mobile number.
"Who is this? That's Cain's phone."
"Oh yeah, I'm Dino, one of Cain's friends. Anyway, he's drunk and out of his mind already. He keeps mentioning your name here and saying to call you and ask you to pick him up. Let me know if you will pick him up because Liza offers to give him a ride. So if you can't, then I will let Liza drive him instead. I mean, drive him home..."
Kimmy frowned, hearing the man who himself sounded drunk. Liza? Could it be that woman who said that she will drive him to heaven?"
Kimmy's face crumpled as she asked, "What is the address? I will get him."
