Chapter 23:The Elevator

"Close your mouth, for goodness sake!" Mitch whispered in Berry's ear. She was shocked even though Manager Ruth had already informed them of Gavin's uncanny resemblance to Prince Cedric which was why they had even agreed to sign the non-disclosure agreement.

Brione entered the room with Prince Cedric and everyone was shocked but they tried to hide it. They all tried to keep a calm and unaffected expression on their faces, except for the hard-headed Berry. She had her mouth open wide as she stared at Prince Cedric.

"Am I seeing a ghost, or are he and Gavin somehow twins. There has to be a logical explanation for this. Oh God, I won't believe that it's just a coincidence. Oh gosh! Look, are you seeing what I'm seeing? Pinch me, Mitch! I think I'm hallucinating," Berry lamented while staring at the Prince who was holding Brione's hand as if the two were a couple. How she wanted to run to her Boss and check what was really going on!

Brione felt awkward because she knew all eyes were on her, especially as Cedric was holding her hand tightly.

"Let go," she whispered as they walked to their table.

"Nope. I like holding your hand. You like it too, so why should I let go. Do you see how your crew and staff are behaving?" Cedric casually commented as he led the way to their table.

Brione too had noticed everybody's unaffected expressions, except for Berry who was throwing questioning stares at her. The lunch went well and Brione did not know whether to feel pleased or disgruntled about how Cedric was pampering her, by putting food on her plate and pouring her drinks.

"Do you still plan to go out later?" Cedric asked as if they were the only ones around. He did not care about his surroundings at all and he even patted her on her head.

"You have something tangled in your hair," Cedric justified his pat.

Brione crumpled her face and answered, "I just plan to rest after lunch and over the next few days, until my shoot is finished!"

Cedric laughed and commented, "Alright then. I'm planning to take a swim later an…"

"In a bikini?" Brione suddenly interrupted. If Cedric would wear a bikini, she could definitely manage to see his butt cheeks!

Cedric almost spitted the wine he was drinking but somehow managed to gulp it down and it made him cough.

"Are you alright?" Brione asked worriedly as she saw his face redden.

"Yeah, I'm good," Cedric said as he tried to compose himself. He had not expected that response at all. But he knew why Brione had asked that.

"Do you wanna see me in a bikini?" Cedric asked with his eyes narrowed.

Brione's face brightened as she quickly answered, "Of course!" not caring how her words sounded.

Cedric chuckled and mischievously whispered, "You would have to accompany me later if you want to see me wearing a bikini. But I thought you had plans to rest so that's just too bad."

Brione shook her head and replied, "Well, I can spare some time for a swim, so I will accompany you. Just tell me what time to be ready."

"Are you also going to wear a bikini?" Cedric commented.

"Sure, why not!" Brione quickly answered because wearing a two-piece bikini was nothing to her. Cedric's eyebrows raised. Oh, how he wanted to see her wearing a two-piece bikini but only for his eyes. He did not want others to have the privilege of seeing her dressed in so little.

"Alright, I'm planning to go take a dip in the forest. There's a really nice waterfall that you will love," Cedric said.

"Huh? In the forest? I thought we would go to the beach… The area designated for guests to go swimming?" Brion commented with a wrinkled forehead.

"Do you really think I will wear a bikini in front of other people?" Cedric replied with raised eyebrows.

Brione straightened her back on her seat and casually said, "Fine," before she elegantly wiped her mouth with the napkin.

"I'm done with lunch and thank you for your generosity. Can I now leave and go to my room, Your Highness?" Brione mumbled with intentional formality in her tone.

Cedric smiled and stood up from his chair as he said, "I will walk with you then, sweetheart. I will be counting every wrong title that you're using to call me and right now it's one."

Brione's face twitched as she scoffed, "I can walk back to my room on my own."

Cedric hesitated but on seeing the annoyed expression on Brione's face, he returned to his seat and said, "Alright. I'll stop being overbearing. Have a good rest and I will pick you up in an hour."

Brione rolled her eyes and she blurted, "Oh thank God," before walking out of the function hall.

Meanwhile, seeing Brione was leaving, Berry quickly stood up and said, "I'm done eating too. I too will leave ."

Mitch did not stop Berry because she knew she could not do anything to satisfy Berry's interest. She and Berry were both actually dying of curiosity and had many questions building up inside their heads that they needed Brione to answer.

After a few seconds, she also stood up and smiled at Manager Ruth and the Prince, whose eyes went to hers. She gave him a slight bow before rushing out to follow Berry and go to Brione's room.

Brione kept on sighing as she walked to her room. The elevator doors were about to close when a hand suddenly stopped it from closing. Brione crumpled her face seeing it was Berry.

"Oh my God, Boss!!! What is going on?!" Berry burst out with her eyes wide.

Brione shook her head and whispered, "Let's talk in my room, okay?"

Berry nodded, but just as the elevator doors were about to close another hand stopped it in the middle.

Brione rolled her eyes seeing that this time it was her manager, Mitch.

But when the elevator doors closed…

"Are they twins?"

"Is Gavin alive? Is he Gavin?"

"Is there a switch like in The Princess Switch movie?"

"Is the real Prince dead and Gavin is his replacement?"

"Or Gavin has really died and they were twins?"

"Or they are merely doppelgangers and not related at all?"

"But that is one of a hell resemblance!"

Brione ended up leaning against the elevator wall helplessly with her arms crossed, as she glared at the two women who could not stop talking or stating their opinions.
