After hugging for more than a minute, Dylan reluctantly stopped hugging Sherry. He felt the warmth of her body linger on him and this thought brought a blush onto his face. Sherry was also blushing, but the glow of the sun made it difficult to see.
"Sorry, I must smell terrible." Dylan sheepishly smiled. His upper body was glistering with sweat and some of it might've rubbed on Sherry when they hugged.
"Oh, I don't mind. You should go have a shower. Breakfast will be ready by the time you're done." Sherry broke out of her daze and muttered. She escaped into the house and didn't turn back.
Dylan stood still on that spot for awhile. He placed a hand over his hand and felt his heart beat. The frantic beating of his heart soothed and transformed into the sweet, pounding of love. Without meaning to, the corners of Dylan's mouth curved and he smiled.
After the two were finished preparing, they gathered at the dinner table. Two plates of toast were placed in front of the two with orange juice for Dylan and coffee for Sherry. Dylan showered and changed into the usual clothes, a knight's uniform. It consisted of a black top and bottom inlaid with silver thread. The uniform was neat and elegant and practical. Powerful magic spells were engraved within, physical barrier and magic barrier for additional protection. On the shoulder of the top was the royal family's crest and Frin's flag. The chest was a gold wolf, symbolising Dylan's position as captain of the Third brigade of the royal army.
"I haven't seen that in awhile." Sherry commented as she sat down. "You look like a prince."
Dylan slightly blushed. He's been complimented by others on a daily basis but this was Sherry saying it so it was different. A bashful smile surfaced on his face. "It's a knight's uniform though."
Sherry chuckled. "Then what'll it look like when you dress as a prince?"
Dylan smiled and didn't answer.
"We should go out today." Sherry suddenly said after the two had finished eating breakfast.
"Where?" Dylan asked.
"To buy you some clothes. Were you planning on wearing my dad's clothes forever or something?" Sherry answered.
"I wouldn't want to impose." Dylan laughed.
"Then let's get ready. I'll give you clothes to change into." Sherry said. She retrieved a set of clothes from the closet. Fortunately, Sherry's dad and Dylan had similar figures so Dylan was able to fit into the clothing easily. He came out of the room dressed in a refreshing white collar shirt and blue jeans. It gave an impression of energy and youth.
Sherry walked out of her room soon after. When she laid eyes on Dylan she secretly thought to herself, 'wow, they say clothes make the man but in this case its the man that makes the clothes.' She laughed to herself. 'When dad wears it, its so normal but Dylan...'
"You look like a model." She praised. Even without his first-class looks, with his built figure and long limbs, Dylan was the perfect model.
Dylan glanced over at Sherry. She wore a plain polo shirt and also wore blue jeans. Her long hair was tied up into a high ponytail and in her hands were her phone and wallet. Together, the two looked like couples in university.
"You look beautiful." Dylan tucked a loose strand of hair behind Sherry's ears. The black hair fell back, guiding Dylan's eyes down to Sherry's neck. Her neck was pure white, soft and beautiful when contrasted with the black of her hair. Dylan gulped, even when Sherry didn't do anything, it was already too much stimulation for him, too sinful!
When they arrived at the train station, Dylan was already overwhelmed by everything around him. He looked on with great interest at every object.
Sherry stopped by at a black machine. With her index finger, she tapped at the machine and inserted a $20 note into it. After a minute or so, the machine made some noises and the sound of something dropping could be heard. From within the machine, Sherry took out a dark card.
"This is a travel card called a Myki. When you tap those machines over there with it, you are starting your journey. When you tap it again, it means that your journey is over and it automatically deducts the money inside. I put $20 inside so you won't have to worry about the money." Sherry showed the card to Dylan and explained. The card was made of a sturdy and light material. It was a slick black with creative designs decorating it.
Dylan received the card and eagerly tried using it. He walked over to the smaller machines and tapped the card where the picture of a card was. The machine made a beeping noise and words were displayed on the blue screen. Sherry also touched on.
"Let's go, the train is coming soon." Sherry held Dylan's hand and guided him down the stairs. There were many people waiting for the train, each doing their own thing. Some were looking at their phones with their heads down, some were talking on their phones and others were reading or talking with their friends, or just standing there.
An announcement was made over the speakers and the train arrived soon after that. It was a long snaky thing. Metallic and cool looking. Sherry led Dylan onto the train and they settled down. Sherry took the window seat and Dylan sat beside her.
Dylan gave a cursory glance to everything in the train. There were many seats. Some people sat, others stood. Once again, each was doing their own thing during their commuting time. Sherry was looking out the window. Her clear eyes watched the objects as they passed and passed. Dylan watched Sherry with a blank look on her face. He observed her, not wanting to miss anything. He found comfort in the fact that he was able to gaze at her like this.
Even when Sherry turned to look at him, he did not avert his gaze. Instead, he gave her a cute smile and just looked at her. His eyes sparkled and his expression was too adorable. Sherry couldn't bring herself to tell him to stop. She averted her eyes and looked outside again to distract herself from his passionate gaze.
