[The next day]
"Okay, I got that. What's more?"
I was talking to my right hand man, Elmore Drago, via telepathy. As I hired some men to investigate about the matter regarding Syna's transformation, and put Elmore as in charge.
"Oh! So, you have found half burnt pages of dark magic spells from her home."
My anger boiled at the information. So, everything was all set up to drift Syna away from me.
"Good job."
I ended the call. Previously I was disturbed due to Syna's words, it was beyond my imagination that my woman was having too much hatred for me.
I didn't know what to do, all things were messed up now. Jason was occupied in confronting Braille, the fool woman wasn't willing to go back to vampire kingdom rather insisted upon staying with Jason.
Maybe, she truly wanted to correct her mistakes of using everyone, to reach me. Or perhaps, she had actually realized that Jason was her mate not me, because my brother had filled me in that they both shared a bed recently.
Indeed she did a terrible thing to pull down the guarding fence of Spirit Realm, which was replaced by a temporary shield. The pondering thing is, that how did someone out there came to know about our weakest hour.
Although, Elmore had defended the attack done by a mob of dark goblins, but still I suspected that it was just the beginning of something bigger. Spirit Realm had nothing to do against living beings, thus the attack of dark beings was out of question.
Perhaps, someone was out there with malicious intentions...the first thing which clicked my mind was 'the throne'!
After all the incidents which had occurred with Syna directed only towards this theory, if that was the case then her life was in danger and I was screwed.
Syna was still at the orphanage, I met with Mr Lorenzo and gave him a special dagger, I knew that despite being old he was still able to protect my wife.
Jason MacLaverty was trying his best to make sure of everything but still the whole responsibility was upon my shoulders, after all I was the emperor not my brother.
I threw myself on the couch with a heavy heart and stared at the roof knowing that for some time no one would disturb me.
"Everything was planned by Braille. How dare she, I can't let Syna suffer once again in this life, when I'm here by her side. Even though she doesn't know about this but I can make some things right."
I stood up and immediately walked down with my car keys and rashly drove off to some nearby alley, where I could open the portal towards Spirit Realm.
"You will have to pay for this. Nothing can part us."
As I reached my destination and opened the dashboard, took out a pen. I used to keep such gadgets with me for any emergency due to my high position within the business world, of course I had rivals too.
"Now wait for the payback, you bit*h!"
I placed the pen in my pocket by pressing the 'record button'. And dashed inside aggressively and yelled.
"Braille Matteo Leste!"
The girl came down gliding, without any expression, but some sadness was tainted on her face as she strode towards me.
"Oh! Sinclair, I knew you would come, I'm so happy. Please for once, take me to Syna. Is she fine, huh?"
She leaped forward and tugged at my shirt, her words sounded considerate and expressions were creased with worry but it hit me like venom.
I jerked her back and glared, my eyes flashed again which I saw as reflection in her orbs.
"I told you to stay away from Syna but I think you mistook my words. How dare you curse her, are you tired of your life!?"
I yelled at her.
"I didn't know that the outcome would be like this, I swear I don't know that man, he just gave me the pages. I swear Sinclair, I still regret doing this, I was blinded by jealousy."
She still pretended to be innocent, as that's what I had thought. Her innocent expressions were adding more to my anger.
"Cut the crap! I know you used that spell, and were aware of the results. You know, you helped the man who even used Jason's name to part me and Syna. Why did you do that, huh?"
My anger flared up at once, I could sense the ground slightly shaking. The atmosphere was also building up the tension as my usual blue aura became visible to the sight, in the serene room I could hear her heart beating at a terribly fast pace.
"Why? Why did I do that!?"
She threw her sad emotions aside, but still tears had escaped from her eyes as she raised her voice.
To my surprise she didn't grit her teeth, nor her eyes were directly making a contact with mine.
"Because I loved you Sinclair. Dammit! I loved you that's why I did that. You were blind to see that she doesn't love you that much I used to do. I saw you both many times and yes, I tried to drift you two apart but that's old now."
Braille Matteo Leste snapped immediately right after the words left my mouth, but there was something different about her...she wasn't clinging to me, the foolish woman wasn't wearing her usual sultry style too.
"You were keeping an eye on us and still claim to love me, is this love? You are insane Braille! We both are a couple okay, a happy couple. I can't believe that my fool brother is still in love with you, you are nothing but a serpent living in his home and heart! I know you Braille, but I'm warning you don't dig your poisonous fangs in my brother's heart!"
She held my shirt and pleaded by making an eye contact, while somehow I could sense her sincerity.
