. . .

"Why are you still angry?"

"I'm not," I snapped.

"Then why are you glaring at me?"

"This is how I usually look at you."

". . ."

". . ."

He sighed and tightened his arms around me without saying a word.

We stayed like that for who knew how long until my anger and disappointment dissipated.

It's not his fault, alright?! You should be happy that he's treating you so well.

I released a big breath and hugged him back. Sensing I was no longer angry at him, he threw me an affectionate look.

We stared into each other's eyes, our forehead pressing, our nose hovering, smiling like idiots.

----

I watched Cain in a trance as he got ready for his work inside one of the empty bedrooms in my unit.

This man is so perfect it makes me annoyed sometimes.

It's not fair that I'm the only one who's flustered all the time!

A sly smile stretched my lips.

I went out and grabbed the shopping bags in my bedroom and zoomed back to his room.

"Cain . . . ," I purred. "I have something for you." I gave him the coat and neckties.

Cain stared at me, face full of happiness and love that I almost feel guilty about what I was going to do next.

"Thank you . . . ," he said. The ice in his eyes was melting. "Can you put it on for me?"

I nodded and tiptoed my way and removed his necktie, replacing it with the one I bought. I then helped him put on the coat.

I gasped and clasped my hands in delight. "It looks so good on you!"

He smiled. "Anything you get me will look good on me."

The corner of my lips kicked up a grin. "Then, you'll wear anything I give you?"

"Of course," he answered without a second thought.

I jumped on my toes in excitement. "It so happens that I bought a bag that matches your coat!"

I pulled out a Rodeo Randoseru backpack that elementary children in Japan used for school.

"I have one too! See!" I pulled out another Rodeo Randoseru backpack and showed it to him.

"This'll be my school bag going to university. We'll have a matching pair!" I told him.

"Or we can alternate between these colors!" I flashed two more Rodeo Randoseru backpack. One deep brown and the other deep blue.

My eyes traveled to his, expectation on my face. My phone on my hand, ready to take a picture of his flustered expression.

Cain closed the distance between us and grabbed the backpack. "Thank you. I love it."

He kissed my cheek, and his eyes stared at me with so much affection than before. He then removed his things from his bag and put it inside the backpack, slow and careful. Afraid to damage the leather.

". . ."

Well, that didn't work.

I frowned and licked my lips as I came over to his side.

"Cain . . ."

"Mmmm . . . ?"

I tilted my head, and tap a finger on my chin, pretending to think about something.

"You know, isn't your face a bit . . . pale?"

"Yes, it is."

I grinned.
