94 Chapter 91: Sneaking Suspicions

I nodded and headed over to the front of the store. As I opened the door, the smell of pancakes lingering around the air. It smelt REALLY REALLY GOOD. Also, this place is quite busy! I noticed as I saw the handful of people in the area.

As I made way over to the counter, a particular person's back caught my attention. Her hair was long and was pale as fresh snow. I got a little closer to her, seeing her ruby red eyes sparkled as she curiously looked at the menu with her child-like appearance. Don't tell me it's... it's HER!

Memories of back then flooded my mind as I remembered the name of the girl in front of me. It's her... Leonara Yamada. It's Claude's sister.

The last time we met, we ate together in an ice cream shop and she kept lying to me about her age and everything. Telling me that she's mischievous and all that. Although the thing that stood out to me with her entire character is that she said that she will help me when I'm a sitch or something.

I went on the line beside her, staring at her carefully, keeping watch as she continued prancing and giggling to herself. I thought to myself if I should approach her. Surely, she should at least recognize me since we've seen each other right?

I continued to race thoughts on my head, continuing to secretly look at her. Suddenly, she then stops from dawdling and then looks over to my direction. I looked away as soon as she did to avoid any kind of suspicion.

She then walks over to my line, tapping me on the shoulder. "Hey, mister." She spoke rather cold and serious. I looked down to face her. Looking at her eye to eye since due to her short stature and Louie being tall as hell. It's hard to look eye to eye to her.

"Yes? Miss? Do you need anything?" I asked her, trying to act completely oblivious. Her face turned into a sinister scowl." If you're going to look at me, at least try making it not obvious. I could clearly see you catching glances you know?

DAMN. She caught me.. ugh. I'm seriously not good at sneaking around as I thought. Although why do I really need to sneak around. I should really just talk to her if I wanted to.

"If you have something to say, perhaps try saying it to my face big man?" She playfully teased me because of my height.

"Oh, I don't necessarily need anything from you. It's just that I actually recognized you from somewhere. You are Leonora Yamada, correct?" I responded professionally as to not look like a total creep.

She paused for a moment, grabbing me by the hand to take me over to a corner of the pancake house. Away from other people, a place where nobody could see or hear us. As we got there, she then looks at me directly in the eye with a serious glare. "I'm getting the feeling this isn't the first time we met. Who are you exactly? You don't look like one of my fans so you must know me personally."

"Actually we did meet before. We even shared a meal with each other. Although I wouldn't exactly call it a meal since it was just ice cream." I told her, she looks confused for a second, rubbing her chin.

"Odd. I would at least remember having a date with such a handsome face before. Sorry if I'm being rude, but who are you exactly and where did we have our date? It's quite rare for me to forget men that are good-looking so you are quite the exception." She chuckled, loosing up her grip a bit.

WAIT? SO YOU'RE GOING TO BE NICE TO ME NOW BECAUSE LOUIE IS HANDSOME?

UNBELIEVABLE. "No. It wasn't particularly a date. We just had a little chat in one of your brother's malls. It was on an ice cream shop on the top floor, although I don't particularly remember the store." I responded to her.

Well technically, she wouldn't remember any of this because when we had our little chat. I was still myself back then but now since I'm Louie, I don't think she'll remember...

"Hm? I rarely visit any malls my brother owns... please do enlighten me what we talked about on this ice cream shop. I have no memory of this happening and trust me, my memory is perfect so I'm quite confused as you are. Although since you know my brother, you're a close friend of his I assume?" She raised her eyebrows with a hint of skepticism.

Should... I think I should tell her that I'm Grace. I mean like if the day resets again, it will just be undone anyways if I did do it. So I guess telling her is going to be okay right?

"I'm Grace Baltazar. During that time in your brother's mall. We went to the high floor to eat some ice cream. Remember when you had a brain freeze and such and you told me that you would support me if I wanted to go after your brother since I was cool." I told her directly and straight to the point.

Her face warped into a sense of confusion. "You do realize that Grace Baltazar is a woman right? That woman is not as tall as you. So don't tell me that Ms. Baltazar just grew a few feet tall and then decided to dress like a man plus had plastic surgery to look like someone else? If that's what you're trying to tell me then I'm not buying it. It's best if you tell me who you are or things are gonna get ugly for you." She threatened me, rolling her eyes at my presence.

"I really am Grace Baltazar! I'm currently in Louie Quinones's body but it's really me here! Believe me!" I exclaimed at her to believe me. Her face didn't change at all, drawing out her phone from her pocket.

"Let me see..." She would search for something from her phone. "You know what? That name is familiar. Louie Quinones. I think I've seen that name before actually and yup! I knew it." She declared to me, showing a picture from her phone. "You're that guy who treated my brother disrespectfully huh?"

"Wait? What? No! I would never do that!" I shouted, denying her claims.

"You know what... I don't think we should be talking here in the pancake house. I think we should really be talking somewhere private about this okay?" She grabs me by the arm as she drags me out of the corner of the store to head over to the outside.

For being a petite girl, she had a very firm grip on me, she was even able to drag me from one place to another no problem. She made a few turns here and there and we finally ended up near the back of the alley. Where we are even more secluded than we were before.

"I.. why do we need to be here..." I talked timidly, as I was backed into the corner being on the back of the alleyway with her blocking the way to the only exit. She then went ahead and brushed her hair cheerfully. "You attended my brother's charity event with Grace Baltazar, right? What is your purpose in trying to pretend to be Grace to me? Do you have some sort of motive?" Her kind demeanor turned into something more horrifying.

"I'm telling the truth! Louie and I switched with some sort of magic spell but that's beside the point! I need your help with something! Remember when you told me that you would have my back every time during that time in the mall! So here I am! Asking for your help!" I pleaded with her.

Her defensive stance took an even more aggressive approach. "What kind of help exactly?"

"A serial killer! Someone by the name "Eyeball Collector" is after Grace and me and the rest of my friends and I need your help to stop them! Can you please head over to this address and-"

"Sure. Of course!" She smiled, agreeing to my demands. "You can give me the address by writing it on this paper!" She hands me a piece of paper and a pen.

Huh? That's odd.. she's been acting really defensive all this time and now she's being nice but that's good I guess!

I took the pen and paper to write on it. Using the wall behind me, I turned around slowly to write but then suddenly-

"AHHHHH!" A sharp object made its way into my neck. Making me gag from the pain.. the sharp object being a short dagger. As I turned around, Leonora looked at me with a smile. "Sorry... I just don't trust you... nice try on getting me alone though." She giggled as she watched me fall to the ground.

I fell flat down to the ground, still feeling the pain in my neck as the blood continued to flow down my neck. My vision started to get blurry as I start to lose consciousness...
