Bai Yan and Ji Xiaonian were completely lost in their own world and failed to notice the person who was standing by the door. It was difficult for Yu Shengjie to watch them kissing each other intently.

Without saying or doing anything, he turned around to leave silently.

They had been making out for such a long time that Ji Xiaonian started to feel the urge to gasp for air. She held her arms up against Bai Yan’s chest hurriedly and tried her best to push him away.

Bai Yan felt the resistance from the little girl. Although he was bursting with passion, he had to let go of her if she showed signs of unwillingness.

“What’s the matter?” He asked and sneaked a peek at the girl’s reddened cheeks.

“I’m not feeling good and I’m breathless,” Ji Xiaonian explained, panting.

As her voice trailed off, she raised her head to meet Bai Yan’s gaze, and a burning sensation rose to her tiny cheeks.

“Um… Why did you kiss me all of a sudden? You fancy me, don’t you?”

She was feeling devastated just seconds ago but all the unpleasantness in her heart dispersed when he kissed her without warning.

Moreover, a strange feeling filled her body.

It was an experience as sweet as honey.

“…”

Speechless, Bai Yan looked at the little girl in front of him. The two of them were in the middle of something intensely heated but she suddenly started bombarding him with silly questions. Bai Yan held his forehead in his palm because words failed to form in his mouth.

Was this little girl naïve or was she just plain dumb?

Why else would a man take the initiative to kiss a girl if he had no feelings for her?

If he did not have feelings for the person, even a mere glance was considered a wasted effort.

“I think that you still care for me.”

Ji Xiaonian chuckled when she noticed his aggrieved expression. She pressed her lips into a smile and held onto his arm playfully. “Brother Yan, please don’t make me wait two years. Let’s get together now, I promise I’ll keep it a secret from the people in the university.”

“Like an underground romance. We don’t have to think about the future as long as we’re both blissfully together.”

She waited for his reply with expectant eyes.

Ji Xiaonian tried hard to stop herself from jumping up and down and shouting in joy. Excitement fueled her body when she remembered this arrogant man had just kissed her on his own initiative.

“Ji Xiaonian, do you want to be in a relationship so badly?”

Looking at this little girl that had experienced an emotional roller coaster, Bai Yan wondered if she had a nervous temperament.

He had not come across schizophrenia like hers.

“Uh-huh.” Ji Xiaonian nodded her head frantically and happy laughter came from her mouth. “But I only want to be in a relationship with you.”

She had had her eyes on him ever since she understood human desires and would have thrown herself at him way before she entered university if it were not because of her timidity.

Ji Xiaonian regretted over the wasted youth.

Bai Yan struggled free from her little arms and rose to his feet. He towered over her and spoke nonchalantly, “It depends on your future performance. I’ll do whatever you say if you behave.”

He averted her gaze and turned to leave. “Rest well, it’s the weekend tomorrow,” he said.

Then, he opened the door and left in great strides.

Ji Xiaonian sat on the bed with her legs crossed and finally came to her senses a few seconds later. Subconsciously, she ran barefoot to the window and waited for Bai Yan to leave the villa. She stood by the window and yelled shamelessly, “Don’t worry, I’ll be a good girl in the future.”

“Let’s go on a date tomorrow since it’s the weekend!”

Bai Yan who was walking along the front courtyard of Ji Residence lifted his head to the second floor and noticed the little girl making threatening gestures in his direction. He shook his head silently and headed for his house.

When his receding figure was getting further, Ji Xiaonian yelled again at the top of her lungs, “I’ll take your silence as a yes. Brother Yan, remember to pick me up first thing tomorrow morning.”

Bai Yan remained quiet and did not even look back. Soon, his figure disappeared from Ji Xiaonian’s sight.

Although he did not provide an affirmative answer, Ji Xiaonian knew he agreed from what he had said earlier.

Within seconds, the hysterical Ji Xiaonian rushed to her dressing room to search for beautiful outfits.

This would be her first official date with Bai Yan, hence she had to dress up well.

First of all, she needed to appear up to his standard so that he would not lose face in public.

Secondly, she wanted herself to please both his mind and his eyes. Otherwise, he would not make concessions to continue going out with her if he did not even want to give her a second glance!

However, she felt strongly indecisive when faced with an array of beautiful clothes in the dressing room.

Everything looked pretty similar and she had trouble making up her mind.

Besides, Bai Yan might not like the outfit that she chose!

Suddenly, she was reminded of Yu Shengjie who was staying at her house. He was a man so he should know what she needed to do.

‘That’s right, I should select a few outfits and ask him for his opinions.’

At the thought of this, Ji Xiaonian hastily picked out ten outfits without hesitation and hurried over to Yu Shengjie’s room.

Yu Shengjie left the door unlocked and Ji Xiaonian was not one who knocked. She lifted her leg to kick at the door and dashed inside with her head down.

“Shengjie, can you help me…”

Ji Xiaonian could not finish her sentence because she was taken aback by the sight in front of her eyes.

The naked man who had just appeared from the bathroom was also caught in surprise.

However, he did not cover himself speedily but allowed the reckless girl who broke into his room to take in the view.

Perhaps it was because she had seen Bai Yan’s that she forgot it was not appropriate to stare. Her eyes widened in surprise and she swallowed huge wads of saliva.

There she was, staring at it for several seconds without shame nor did she show indication to run away.

It was Yu Shengjie that began to feel slightly embarrassed. He covered it with the towel he used to dry his hair and asked awkwardly, “Hey, are you done staring?”

Ji Xiaonian was finally brought back to reality and her little cheeks were flushed red with shame. She wanted to turn around but realized he was already covered.

Standing over by the door, she spoke embarrassedly, “Um, put on some clothes because I need a favor from you.”

Then, she turned around but remained in the room.

Yu Shengjie noticed the bundle of clothes and dresses in her arms and the scene of her kissing the other man in the room just seconds ago flooded his mind. He estimated what was going to happen next.

He simply put on a pair of pajamas and spoke again with jealousy, “I’m clothed now. Do you want my opinion about which outfit you should wear?”

Ji Xiaonian turned around abruptly and stared at Yu Shengjie with her eyes widened. “Oh my gosh, how did you know? Seems like you know women really well.”

She threw the bunch of outfits on his bed and questioned excitedly, “So what do you think? Red, green, purple, white, or floral?”
