Ji Xiaonian smiled like a lunatic as she left Bai Yan's office.
This carried on even in class, where she would continue smiling while staring at the lecturers.
Seeing how odd she was acting, Ji Xiaonian's deskmate could not help but ask, "Ji Xiaonian, what are you smiling at?"
She glanced at Han Le, and in the next second, wrapped herself around Han Le's arms and asked, "Lil Le, let me ask you, how does being in a relationship feel like? Is it supposed to be extremely delightful and heart-soothing?"
Although Ji Xiaonian had never been in a relationship before, she felt that her time was drawing near after her conversation with Bai Yan.
For some reason, ever since Ji Xiaonian left Bai Yan's office, her emotion was pure bliss.
This was especially true whenever she thought about Bai Yan finally accepting her. Not only was he no longer pushing her away, but he also mentioned that they could finally be together after two years.
Just the thought of finally being together with the man she loved had filled her with a surge of wild excitement.
"Ji Xiaonian, you're nineteen this year, right? And yet, you haven't been in a relationship before?" Han Le shot a disdainful glance at the girl beside herself.
Ji Xiaonian pouted, and while dodging Han Le's gaze, she stated, "I was too young to be in a relationship back then… But I'm in university now, which is the perfect time to be in a relationship. Hurry up and tell me, what do I need to prepare to be in a relationship?"
Han Le stared at Ji Xiaonian and observed her expression of bliss. Before long, she managed to put two and two together.
She then responded with a question of her own, "Did a man confess to you?"
Ji Xiaonian's face flushed red as she hurriedly shook her head.
"Hmm, so you were the one who confessed to the man. Did he accept your confession?"
She neither shook nor nodded her head.
Upon recalling the passionate entity lying underneath Bai Yan's cold mask, Ji Xiaonian could not help but smile.
Seeing that Ji Xiaonian had smiled yet again, Han Le became even more desperate. "Ji Xiaonian, are you going to tell me or not? If you're not, then fine, don't bother seeking any relationship advice from me in the future."
Han Le had never seen Ji Xiaonian this happy before. She thought to herself, 'Could this have something to do with the disc I shared her last time?'
'Could it be…'
"Sigh, it's nothing, really. He told me to wait two years for him. Once those two years pass, we'll finally be together. Nevertheless, I'm rather happy about it. I feel all fuzzy as if I've just drunk nectar."
In essence, whenever Ji Xiaonian thought about Bai Yan's promise, she could not help but smile.
Han Le listened carefully to Ji Xiaonian's words, and when she heard the part about waiting for two years, Han Le snorted. "What kind of man is he? How old is he?"
"Hmm, him? Well, he's an astounding man, and he's probably around 28 this year!"
"28?!"
Han Le exclaimed in shock. As she had been a bit loud, and she worried that the lecturer would call her out, Han Le quickly covered her face with her textbook. Subsequently, she pulled Ji Xiaonian to her side and asked, "Ji Xiaonian, are you mentally deficient? Why did you pick such an old person? You're only nineteen. You're aware that your relationship with him will be like an old cow chewing on tender grass, right? Oh crap, what does that man look like? Does he look like the average geezer? If so, I advise you to give up on him. You won't last against a seasoned veteran like him."
"Also, also, is he rich? If he is, then I think his goal is to become your sugar daddy without taking any actual responsibility for you. Believe your big sis here, it's better to stay as far as you can from a man like him!"
Han Le had a fierce look on her face. It was as if she was lecturing her very own family member.
Upon realizing how concerned her deskmate was, Ji Xiaonian could not help but feel grateful for it.
However, she still retorted, "He's not the man you picture him to be. I'll tell you his identity once these two years are over. Now's not the time."
As Bai Yan was currently a lecturer, if she were to expose her connection to him, it would probably result in the other students ganging up on them.
'Well, it doesn't matter. I believe in his words, and I'm willing to preserve myself for another two years.'
Heck, forget two years, as long as she could end up with him, she would be willing to wait a decade for him.
"You're finished, Ji Xiaonian. You're finished I tell you! What kind of man is he such that you wouldn't tell me his identity? Are you worried that I'll steal him from you? Lemme remind you, your big sis here already has her own man. Also, I'm only curious about his identity because I'm concerned about you. Otherwise, I wouldn't prod in someone else's business."
In the end, Ji Xiaonian had only managed to make Miss Han mad. She then glared at Ji Xiaonian and barked, "Give me back the disk I lent you last time."
Ji Xiaonian was well aware that Miss Han had gotten all cranky for her sake. However, she could not help but get angry when Han Le mentioned the disk. She glared at Han Le in return and asked, "I can't believe you have the gall to mention the disk! Why didn't you tell me about its content? I was chastised by him because of you. Naturally, the disk is now in his hands. I have no clue whether he tossed it away or not, though."
"By him, do you mean him as in the one you have a crush on? The man that told you to wait two years for him?"
"Yep."
"Meh. Ji Xiaonian, I guarantee to you, unless you heed my words, you'll regret your decision sooner or later."
Han Le was no longer interested in convincing the girl beside her. Once class was over, she immediately went off in search of her boyfriend.
Ji Xiaonian paid no mind to Han Le's advice and continued smiling like an idiot.
Afternoon came and Ji Xiaonian was still in a great mood. While whistling a tune, she made her way to her dorm, and when she opened the door, she was immediately greeted with the sight of Fang Miaoling.
'She looks like she's packing up. Is she moving out?'
Ji Xiaonian walked forward, circling past Miaoling's luggage and returning to her bed. She then thought to herself, 'Did Bai Yan request for her dorm change with the school authorities?'
'I really couldn't tell, but he treats her real nice, huh?'
Ji Xiaonian did not mind though and proceeded to lie down on her bed. In a sarcastic tone, she then exclaimed, "From this day forward, this room will finally be rid of a fly. Ah, I could sleep more comfortably now!"
Upon hearing those words, Fang Miaoling then angrily retorted, "Who're you calling a fly?"
"What does it matter to you?"
Ji Xiaonian sat back up and took a look at Fang Miaoling's luggage. She then asked, "Are you leaving? To a more luxurious dorm? Well, hurry up and leave then. It just so happens that I lack space to put my stuff, so, once you're gone, I'll pile all my stuff at your spot."
With that, Ji Xiaonian then placed her luggage on Fang Miaoling's bed.
Fang Miaoling turned red with rage as she glared at Ji Xiaonian. "Ji Xiaonian, do you have no shame? I haven't even left yet."
"Well, you're already leaving anyway. You do seem to have a bunch of stuff with you. Do you need my help with it?"
"You…"
"There's no need to be polite. After all, I've always been a helpful person, teehee."
Ji Xiaonian made her way to Fang Miaoling's luggage with a smile, and from the looks of it, it was as if she wanted Fang Miaoling gone as soon as possible.
Fang Miaoling got even angrier. The more Ji Xiaonian wanted her gone, the less she wanted to budge.
She grabbed her luggage and pushed away Ji Xiaonian's. Subsequently, she then plopped herself onto her bed and declared, "I'm no longer leaving. Forget about claiming my spot."
"Huh? What prompted the sudden decision? Sigh, if you're not leaving, then…"
Before Ji Xiaonian had completed her sentence, her phone rang. Ji Xiaonian then cut her sentence off and pulled out her phone. When she noticed that it was Bai Yan calling her, she excitedly ran over to the window to pick up the call.
"Hello, Brother Lil Bai~"
