Chapter 65: Leya’s Skills, The Overwhelming Marius

Name:Level Up Family Author:ShadowsFinger
"Ahhhhh!" A pitiful cry sounded as a man was ruthlessly tossed into the sky by a large creature. His shoulder had previously been bit by its razor-sharp teeth, causing it to spew out a large amount of blood.

A few others also made similarly pitiful cries, but they suffered from many different creatures, ranging from dinosaur-like beasts, mystical looking animals such as Flaming Horn Boars and others, each of which continued to rush from the two pathways at the edges of the stage.

Bang! A chain ball that swung randomly from the side smashed into a candidate pushing him towards the spike pits, the candidate who groaned in pain had a look of terror in his eyes as he could see his life flashing below him.

However, before he could meet that fate, a figure blurred and appeared beside him and bringing him towards the outside of the battle ring.

"Disqualified!" Repton's voice sounded about the area, as the battle for survival in the ring continued fiercely, the crowd of seekers who observed from distant places made no cheers, but discussed with interest.

"Haha, most of this batch is just a bunch of amateurs; I don't know where they got the confidence to come here. It looks like they'll be feeding the union with timely needed funds." A pointed beard man with a hat and a bow on his back said with mock.

"Hehe, indeed, but... it's not like they're all bad, that girl is pretty good, and as for that handsome fellow, I can't see his limits, such a rowdy man..." A busty orange-haired woman said as she licked her lips, fixing her eyes onto Marius after she glossed over Leya.

The pointed beard man rolled his eyes at her words, but he didn't deny it. Marius, in his opinion, was a monster. Still, his eyes didn't fix completely on Marius but Leya.

"Odd, she's so familiar, don't you think?" The person said.

The mature beauty shook her head as she replied, "You're right, but I doubt it's anyone too important. Oh, look, she's about to fight that Iron Tail Fox, hehe, let's see how she fairs against it."

The pointed beard man narrowed his eyes as he observed the battle ring more intently, not wanting to miss a scene.

At this time, the chaos only grew more intense as more and more persons had fallen due to the creatures and dangerous obstacles that struck at random.

Leya stood in a single position with her magic robe fluttering due to her ever-so-increasing Mystic Power.

The Iron Tail Fox being a fox twice the size of an ordinary one with a metallic-like tail, dashed across the field towards, its eyes glaring at her as it roared savagely. All candidates in its path were brutally pushed aside by its tail that swept about at blur-like speeds, causing bone-crushing sounds and painful shrieks to sound about the battle ring.

'Hmph! I'm not like those shrimps!'

As the cloth wrapped around her face loosened, her beautiful red lips and small nose became vaguely viewable as she pointed her staff forward and invoked.

"Mystic Barrier!"

Following her shout, a bright light shone from her staff, which formed a sphere-shaped barrier around her body. When this happened, the Iron Tail Fox had already arrived upon her; it swung its tail without hesitation, making swooshing noise through the wind before it smashed into the barrier.

Bang! A loud explosive sound resounded as even dust had formed in the area, but once it cleared, it only revealed the unphased Leya who stood at the center of her slightly cracked barrier.

"Darn animal, go to hell! Mystic Arrow!"

With another of her invocations, a bright light shone at Leya's magic staff's tip, which fired off an arrow towards the Iron Tail Fox. As it sensed the danger, the Iron Tail Fox wanted to avoid it, but sadly, it was too slow to make any attempts.

Puff! The sound of something piercing flesh sounded as the arrow bore through its head, causing it to fall onto the ground as a corpse.

Leya exhaled with relief as she saw this scene; she wiped the sweat from her forehead while staring around at the chaos as she thought to herself.

"That's my fifth monster; I wonder, how many have that uncle killed so far?'

With those thoughts in mind, Leya leisurely took the change to scan the battle ring, a few chain balls swung here and there, with one of them smashing into her barrier, but as if they weren't mentioned, they only bounced backward with even greater force, crushing any candidate in its path.

"Ahh! That darn girl, don't get near her!" A strong candidate said as he was forced back by the chain ball repelled by Leya's barrier, many others looked at this in fear, not daring to stay in her vicinity.

"Weaklings!" Leya said as she stuck out her tongue, acting like a brat, which suited her tiny figure.

Many of them felt discontented, but they didn't bother to complain; they had already labeled her as the second most dangerous monster in the battle ring. As for the first, the idle Leya just so happened to have caught sight of him, her eyes and mouth widening in shock as if she saw an unforgettable scene.

The corpses of dozens of creatures littered the floor, some being larger than even Herculean whom Marius had met. They were stacked on top of each other, creating a corpse mountain as Marius stand atop of it with his arms crossed behind his back, his demeanor no different from any sage. That was except for the strange song that he sang at the top of his voice.

???? "Legends never die… when the world is calling you... Can you hear them screeaammmiiiing out your naaaammmeeee? Legends never die… they become a part of you..."

The audience stared at him with odd looks as some of the women had flashing eyes; even Leya couldn't help but tilt her head as she thought.

'This uncle, he's so strong, yet strange... what song is that?'

She thought, eyes flashing with curiosity.

Others had the same thoughts, but as this ring was a battlefield, there was a monster who naturally saw Marius's arrogant manner as a sign of provocation.

Suddenly, a mighty looking ape twice the size of Herculean had stomped its way towards him, shaking the battle ring; it had crossed shaped scar on its face and an absurdly robust build.

"Not good, that's an Elite Berserk Ape; who the hell sent something like this for the new candidate's assessment?" A person from the onlookers said in alarm; many others also shared their discontent.

"Quick, get out of the way!" A few of the other Seeker Candidates said in horror as they scurried about the battle ring. Luckily for them, the Elite Berserk Ape didn't put them in its eyes.

Roar! The ape made a fierce battle cry as it jumped from the ground and struck out its giant fist towards Marius.

Unlike those onlookers who had looks of wonder, the more powerful watched this scene with interest as even Torn and Repton looked on with deep eyes.

'Hmph! I sent that in there just for you, big guy. Let's see if you can still act so tough now.' Repton thought as he glared at Marius.

Torn snickered as he glanced at Repton but said nothing; his only interest was the extent of Marius's strength.

'So arrogant, but you have the power to its right, let's see how you face off against a Third Star E Class Monster.'

Torn thought with a sharp look in his eyes.

Leya naturally saw this change; her face turned pale as she shouted, "Uncle, watch out!"

She prepared to try and help him out with a spell, but Marius merely gave her cheeky a wink. He then glanced at the ape as his eyes flashed before showing the incoming monster's details.

"Oh, since you're bold enough to disrupt my song, you should be fearless enough to become a part of the pile."

With those words said, Marius's body then erupted a towering Mystic Power as his presence became overwhelming. In an instant, he seemed as if a giant that was over-looking the world, making even the brutal Elite Berserk Ape shiver due to the pressure.

At this moment, every fiber of its being was telling it to flee, but sadly, it was already too late.

"Aerial Submission Palm..." Marius's cold and emotionless voice sounded as he reached his palm downwards, causing everyone to suck in a breath of fresh air as they saw an incredible scene
