42 Life on MBG

Alyx was enjoying his stroll on MBG as there was no chaos. Law and order seem to be maintained by the local powers and the place he is walking seems to be meticulously planned and one can see the presence of the unique local culture in the structures present around him.

Although the surroundings seem to be ancient there are indications of latest technology if one looks carefully. Although the outer appearance of the buildings and other structures in paradise provide no benefit or utility, they are created for vanity. Creating them is costly as nothing is free in Paradise, only wealthy civilizations can afford to do that. It also has a positive effect on the mental health of their citizens.

Even when he was on earth traveling was a favorite pass time of Alyx so he really enjoyed the stroll and he was also curious about how these developed regions utilize the virtual network. Ever since he became an Aon he was cooped up in this own mansion and just went out to the surface for a mission. He felt that his life was missing something and decided to just go out and spend some quality time.

Alyx was very much impressed by the capabilities of Aons as in Paradise, you can chat with people millions of light years away without any lag and such technology is not achievable by many civilizations so it becomes an important aspect of their economy. It is a must for commerce at the universe level and although many civilizations may not be advanced technologically they have various unique products which might be popular at another corner of the universe. As long as they have some backing they can make a fortune on Paradise.

Alyx also came across some unique creatures being sold as pets in some shops, once an order is placed, they will be delivered to the provided address by a shipping company. Shipping is the most dangerous job due to pirates and usually, they are run by big corporations with the backing of powerful civilizations. Aons don't want to monopolize such businesses as they want to make Paradise as lucrative as possible so that these civilizations are completely dependent on it.

"I don't know how Aons are able to run Paradise sustainably they are just leaving all these lucrative businesses to other civilizations." Alyx thought to himself while taking a stroll.

Alyx bought a few unique dishes to eat and was surprised by the rich taste and flavors in the dish. He was skeptical at first as to why people will buy food in paradise as there was no need for it but later changed his mind as he remembered him eating food when it was not necessary. He converted his CP and tried all kinds of dishes and was very satisfied with the purchase.

"I have no regrets spending that CP." Alyx said while burping. He noticed Ax weird behavior when he was eating and also bought him something to eat. Although he can just access the data regarding the food taste from Alyx but experiencing it himself is different.

Alyx also saw a huge bank which he presumed belonged to the local power and many were trying to get loans or other things in the bank. He could even see some smaller civilizations leader, from the way he arrived, being treated like any other customer.

When a civilization advances to a certain extent it is completely dependent on the service industry and intellectual property to grow further. Due to automation, all menial tasks are done by robots and the market is cutthroat.

"Sir, you can open a bank account here and the interest rates on saving are very high. If you have a business idea which you are confident in you can apply for a loan and we will provide with the best plan to grow…..."

Alyx was listening to an automated response from one of the counter when he was just looking around.

'Just how much volume this bank processes daily, for it to need so many automated customer service centers.' Alyx thought to himself.

Alyx was truly attracted to the life here on MBG. If he had enough CP and not in a hurry to increase the strength he believes that he would surely all his time to enjoy life in Paradise. Its name was not for a show it truly is a paradise to people like Alyx as there are all kinds of services and anything could you think of. If it is not there then it is only a matter of time before it is created.

Alyx logged out of Paradise and waited for Neo. Before he went into the Paradise he sent Neo a text to ask for some advice about creating a new creature entirely or modifying features to a more accurate degree. When he tried to modify he can only give a general characteristic and can't control the extent to which it should transform or limit it to a small region. He is still a beginner and doesn't know if such things are possible or if he is doing some mistake.

After waiting for some time he met with Neo, although Neo went out of MBN, it is easy for him to send one of his clones to talk with Alyx.

"Looks like you finally made up your mind, if you work hard and show good results then I don't mind taking you as my disciple." Neo was happy that Alyx chose to study in his field.

"It would be my honor." Alyx said immediately but thought to himself, 'You left me with no choice.' He can' gain much CP from doing mission posted by Neo if he did not take up this field.

After going through all the data provided by Alyx, Neo admonished Alyx for getting ahead of himself and asked him to complete all the exercises before contacting him again. He pointed out some of the mistakes done by Alyx and left.

'He did not even answer the question I asked.' Alyx sighed.
