The game that Alyx decided to play was a smaller scale virtual replica of a universe similar to Aonverse and is a very popular game because there are many civilizations who want to show their might in it.

There are many patriotic players from different civilizations who take the game very seriously and invest a lot of time in it. It is also used by some weaker civilizations to show off their might and settle any disputes between them. Since it is a game many of the tasks are easy and take less time like creating a weapon, harvesting resources or building a spaceship, cities, etc.

Although this game is a replica there are many game elements present in it like levels, monsters, and elements which are not possible in the real world such as unlimited resources which leads to creation and use of many inefficient technologies which one usually does not use in real life like teleportation for travel, etc., as such things are not possible in real life due to energy requirements.

The title of the game is "Conquest". It is a war game with a massive open universe to explore. It also has its own lore but Alyx just ignored it as he was only playing it for fun. At a cursory glance, the lore describes an apocalyptic scenario in the far future and the only way to avoid it is through unifying the universe under a single rule and developing a powerful military in preparation to it.

To achieve this players have to rise in ranks and power in the game and in the process gaining control of their planet. There is no limitation on the players to play individually, they can form groups and tackle the game.

When the game was first launched wars between different civilizations was not possible as they have no resources and their home region is filled with monsters. Since a long time has passed after the game is released players were able to gain control of the planet and started waging war on others. It is very difficult for a single player to occupy a planet in this game so usually, it is done by big gaming guilds and sometimes an entire civilization, creating their territory in the game.

Alyx just skimmed through these details regarding the game and entered the portal. A player can either join existing forces in the game or start on some unoccupied planet and create their own faction in the game. All the easier planets are already occupied and only the difficult planets with powerful monsters are left behind. There are restrictions on players on what they can use to occupy a planet with monsters so they can't attack an unoccupied planet with powerful planetary scale weapons, this is to enable new players a chance to create their own faction in the game.

There are certain benefits of choosing existing character races and these cannot be enjoyed by creating a new race in the game. Alyx did not care about those benefits and created humanity as a new race in the game.

He then decided to enter the game on an unoccupied planet as he just wanted to fight some monsters. The players in the game can go to any planet they want as they have portable teleportation devices. Teleportation is possible in real life but it is inefficient and has many restrictions. In the game, teleportation is cheap and easy to use compared to real life, so it became the norm for traveling.

Alyx appeared in a lush forest with tall trees reaching hundreds of meters and whose trunk require more than ten people to surround. Alyx felt like he returned to the surface of MBN but he could see Ax floating on his shoulder and looking around similar to him. All around him there were trees and he could also see other players entering the planet similar to him. Although players cannot wage a war on unoccupied planets they can still enter the planet to gather resources. Planets with greater difficulty contain rare resources and the body parts of the monsters are also useful.

Alyx did not want to have anything to do with these other players and quickly entered into the forest through the path ahead of him, it is a long and winding dirt path ahead of the place he was teleported to and where all the players are gathered. As soon as Alyx entered on it he could feel himself passing through some kind of membrane and he knew why no monster was present in the region where he was teleported as it was being isolated by a protective field.

After travelling on the path for some time it branched out into various smaller routes. At first he thought he would be followed and attacked by other players as there was no rule forbidding such actions but looks like the players were waiting for their team members and did not care about him. Although Alyx was being paranoid he did not know that they were laughing at him for going solo into a high-level monster zone, they ignored him thinking that he was a newbie to the game.

Although it was a high-level monster zone it still had weaker monsters near to the teleportation point as it was a game so Alyx was able to hunt monsters for the first time. Even when he went on a hunting trip with Blag on MBN he did not do anything so it was his first hunt after becoming an Aon.

The first monster he faced was some kind of herbivore eating leaves from shrubs in the forest. It was similar to a rhino and very passive if not provoked so most players ignore it as they don't gain much experience by killing it.

SWISH

Alyx was at level zero and this rhino was at level one but he still attacked with the basic crossbow he had on him. He shot the rhino after climbing a tree and was disappointed to see his arrow only leaving a shallow wound on its body.

ROAR

The rhino became enraged and started to search for the attacker.
