16 Hunting 1

Name:Life After Death Author:Great_Y
The universe's strongest race are Dragons and among the highest rank of them are various Dragon Lords. True Dragons are creatures that grow more powerful, including their bodily size, with age. Additionally, they are a race that are already strong from birth, even without training. As they age over time, they are able to use magic that vary among each other. In a way, as Dragons have life span that other species simply cannot compare against, making it inevitable that they are the most powerful species. One could only imagine the strength of a Dragon Lord as they are immortal and lived for eons.

'I'm glad that they are not true dragons but can we deceive them with our camouflage. If we are found our plan has to be changed in a drastic way and we would be unable to gain much of the CP.'

*You are giving them more credit than they deserve. Just treat them as overgrown lizards.*

True Dragons possessed keen senses that far surpass those of other species. If their enemy attempted to deceive, dragons would still be able to detect them from a distance. This remains true even when they sleep. Dragons also have a sensitive sense of smell which helps them discern the value of the things they see. Aside from those mentioned, dragons can see their targets from a long distance away due to their exceptional eyesight. Moreover, they could adapt to the harshest planets or even space. They can just live on by eating minerals present in asteroids.

But the Artificial Dragons on MBN are as said by Ax, can only be considered as overgrown lizards in comparison.

The following day early in the morning Alyx met up with Blag and prepared to go on a hunt for food. He borrowed the spare gear of Blag and readied himself. The gear consisted of a spear, a short sword, a long-sword, an overcoat made up of bushes, a bamboo basket, some ropes and net. The overcoat is used as a camouflage to evade the detection of dragons.

"You can just take the gear when you are going to leave. You're are going to need it to survive out there. You are lucky to have reached here without any mishap but you should be prepared for everything."

"Thanks for your consideration but you have already done so much for me. I have some metals with me and they should be sufficient to place an order for one set at the blacksmith shop." The Lizardmen have no currency and follow barter system. The hunters enjoy many privileges like free repair and replacement of their gear…etc. As they are the bread winners of a tribe. Blag is the best hunter of the tribe so his equipment should be best and take lot of time to create. Since Alyx is not going to use them he felt it is a waste to take them. He can just buy some cheap of the shelf gear later to not appear suspicious.

Blag by now understood Alyx so he did not insist further. After getting prepared Blag went to inform Shuaan before departing from his house. They went to meet with the other members of the team at the entrance of the underground cave.

"Hey boss who is this newbie? Is he going to join our team?"

"I have never seen him in our tribe? Did he join our tribe recently?"

"Do you have prior experience in hunting?"

"Which tribe are you from?"

"Are you a relative of boss?"

All the nine members of the team were curious about the new member and started bombarding both Blag and Alyx with questions. Their questions became weirder as time passed. Blag just sighed and stood to the side waiting for their excitement to come down. As Ax was controlling the body he too just stood like a statue. Only Alyx was getting flustered by all this and showing it on the face.

'It's my first time being bombarded by questions like that. I wonder how celebrities used to handle this pressure and still maintain a calm face.'

*Just ignore these brats. Look at Blag.*

After their excitement died down then Blag introduced, "This is Alyx and he is just a traveler who is staying in our tribe for few days. He wanted to see how we hunt so I brought him along. Now no more questions and move out." Travelers go to other tribes to learn their hunting tactics and exchange their own knowledge.

After hearing that Alyx was a traveler they were going to start another round of bombardment but this time were stopped by Blag. They immediately became focused and started taking up their roles. This sudden shift in behavior was a bit hard for Alyx to accept.

'Where did those brats from earlier go? Did they get possessed or something?'

*This is the result of Blag's training. Otherwise they will die out there.*

"Blag I'm impressed how well you trained them." Alyx showed his admiration to Blag.

"Well they have to mature quickly or can only die out there." Blag said in a melancholic tone. Seeing Blag's serious demeanor Alyx shut his mouth and did not continue the discussion. Even he knew the importance of staying silent in a hunt.

It was still dark outside with plants being the only light source. It was a beautiful view with vibrant colors. The shapes of the plants were bizarre and chaotic at first glance but seemed to contain a pattern. Everything was new to Alyx and he was immediately mesmerized by it.

'Staying in that underground mansion is such a waste of time. I'm going to shift to the surface.'

*It is dangerous up here and only the intelligent species know about Aons. Other feral creatures will show no mercy and attack you.*

'Cough. Cough. I mean after I gain some strength. If I have enough CP I can just move to the surface city in Q1. There they provide security and all kinds of facilities.'

The surface city Neo is the only city on MBN and is responsible for trade with other civilizations. With all the best amenities and facilities. MBN is the only Aon Centre in the surrounding few galaxies so it is the most sought after location due to the security and facilities available.

*If you don't move into the surface city by the end of your training period you'll be kicked out of MBN and forcefully inducted into the Aon force. So do your best.*
