19 Mordos

Alyx recently spent much of his time on Aon web so that he can learn more about the world he was in, even when he visited the Lizardmen he spent most of his time on it otherwise he'd be unable to bear the long and silent journey with the hunting team. After spending some time on the surface he got to understand the prowess of Aons much better.

Although he is an Aon he created a barrier of sorts by depending on Ax. This resulted in him not developing at an abnormal rate even after removal of the restrictions placed on him from his time as a human simulation. Although he has great processing and calculation capacity he still exhibits human characteristics. This was done deliberately by him to prevent himself from becoming more robotic. Other Aons try to move away from using an assistant AI slowly and get used to their new capabilities unlike Alyx. Alyx depends entirely on Ax for most of the time but he occasionally tries to process large amounts of information to save time and in the process feels overwhelmed doing it. At his first attempt itself he gave up on it and decided to do it rarely.

"Ax I can't do this anymore. I'm going to leave all these information cramming to you."

*It takes some time to adapt to this level of information. Your capabilities have been suddenly improved so it will feel disorienting to handle such volume of information but you should get used to it.*

"If I'm not careful I might lose my 'self' in there. So no thanks." Alyx shuddered thinking of the consequence.

Alyx decided to just access the information when needed or just let Ax immediately communicate with him the information of importance. Although it will create a lag but it is still faster than any creatures processing power. Only those legendary Dragon lords or rouge Aons (rouge AI's) will be able to surpass him. In the future he might have to fight them during his missions so he has to improve in that aspect but for now he decided to play hooky.

The Artificial Dragons in Q10 are under the reign of a powerful Dragon with great ambitions. His name is Mordos. He established the colony in the Great Mountains forcefully by completely decimating the local powers and made the entire region his territory. He is one of the latest experiment of Neo and is a very close imitation of a True Dragon. Most of the inferior Artificial Dragons on MBN are descendants of earlier experiments of Neo, which deteriorated with time into the present weaker versions.

Occasionally an exceptional specimen is born among the Artificial Dragons due to random mutations. This is the reason for Neo allowing the procreation of his failures. Neo is very much influenced by his past so he believes random mutations may produce exceptional outcome. These successful mutations are later studied by him to further his research.

Neo is unable to work on True Dragons due to Aons agreement with them so these are the next best alternatives. True Dragon carcass is very difficult to come across in the market and even when they are available in the market they go for an extraordinary sum as they are valuable commodity for many civilizations. They are used in various ways and even for an Aon like Neo they are something of a luxurious product.

Mordos is still in his infant stages but is able to dominate all others in Q10. He has a narrow worldview and considers himself the most powerful. He is a frog at the bottom of the well. He stands at a staggering length of 50 meters while being an infant dragon and has a strong grip on all the other Artificial Dragons due to his innate advantages.

The colony is unable to expand to other quadrants due to the vast natural barriers and other threats. Neo's approach to his research is multi-faceted and this leads to production of many bizarre creatures. These creatures can be called mindless monsters as they are very aggressive and territorial. They only obey Neo and he uses them as canon fodder in a fight.

It is not possible to communicate with them so they are confined to few quadrants. These quadrants overflowing with such monsters are literal dead zones for any member of the primitive civilizations on MBN including Mordos. This limited Mordos to Q10 and he blames it for being an infant but there are many creatures on MBN which far exceed Mordos in power. He has great aspirations and wants to expand to other quadrants. For achieving this he is building up a colony of loyal dragons which are at his beck ans call. All those who oppose him are killed.

Artificial Dragons find it difficult to give birth but still treat the young harshly so they can become strong through hardships. They accumulate strength by consuming various metals and powerful creatures, so for a dragon resources are never enough. When they are independent they don't care about what happens to the young but as a colony it is different. Mordos is very angry with the death of many of his subjects and wants to destroy the lizardmen for it. He was the one who ordered the attack on lizardmen due to the scarcity of resources in Q10 but now that the scarcity has been solved the Lizardmen are just a game to him. He would have ignored them if not for their periodic provocation and death of many of the young dragons.

The young Dragon are raised in an incubating chamber located within the mountains near to a volcano. Most of the eggs of the colony are laid there and once they are hatched they are taken care up to a certain period of time after that they would be forced to hunt for their own food. These young Dragons are the one who lose life to the lizardmen's ambush but the adult Dragons are unable to do anything to the lizardmen since they are at a disadvantage in Caves. The hunting teams of Lizardmen are unable to hunt an Adult Dragon due to the small size of their teams.

So adult Dragon periodically hunt for the lizardmen when they go in search for food. They patrol the skies around the lake and attack at unsuspecting hunting groups of lizardmen. The adult dragons are powerful compared to the young ones and consider it a shame to have lost so many of their young to an inferior race.

Alyx decided to infiltrate the Dragons as an infant and learn more about their side of the situation. This is the only safe way to approach them due to their small numbers. He once again went to the body reconstruction site and has undergone the necessary changes. He is very lucky as the surveillance on the Dragon eggs is not strict in the direction of the volcano and he was able to easily infiltrate as a dragon egg.
