27 Paradise 1

Neo left Alyx after recommending him a set of things to buy online. After going through them Alyx was dumbstruck as list included things related to Neo's field. Most of the things were introductory material and equipment needed to practice them.

"Hey Ax why should I buy these? Although I am a little curious and fascinated by the work of Neo I have no intention to become his assistant nor do I want to waste my time learning all these when I can improve my strength."

Neo's field of study is related to creation of powerful mutant lifeforms and creation of organic bodies for Aons. Although Alyx is very much interested in it, he doesn't want to waste his time on it as he wants to increase his rank as quickly as possible and reunite with his family. He knows that if he wants to master and be proficient in it he would have to spend a lot of time and he is unwilling to do that.

*If you are a bit more mindful you will notice that if you want to earn more CP you need to learn those as the missions on MBN are mostly related to those fields like the one with Lantis.*

After learning that the reason for the increased reward is because he unknowingly completed another mission Alyx immediately checked the content of the mission.

Upon first learning it he thought it was a very easy mission as they can just clone Lantis but he later learned that these powerful creatures like Dragons or any mutated creatures created by Neo are not possible to clone as their cells are different from normal animals and function in a unique manner. They completely destroy any organic matter they come in contact with or the mutated component becomes inactive and will be lost after a few cell divisions. There are many more reasons but it is only known that this is due to the influence of ether. It is one of the unsolved mysteries which even Neo can only overcome through complex procedures.

After learning that he knew just how lucky he was. Although the mission stated that either create or find but he knew that the creation part was included so that one can earn additional rewards by getting Neo's recognition as creation is not an easy task. If someone was capable of creating something like Lantis they would definitely be nurtured by Neo.

Alyx can only sigh that he has no power on his future.

Aons had waged several wars during their rise to supremacy leading to destruction of many civilizations and enslavement of many more but it was not a sustainable process as the distribution of several important and unique resources are uneven across the universe and they can't always fight as it would make the others unite and destroy them as a common enemy. At that time although Aons as a whole were powerful but not invincible and their numbers were limited. So the Aons have come to a truce with some of the stronger civilization and creatures like Dragons… etc. As part of the agreement many civilizations destroyed and enslaved by Aons are also released. Aons even helped in their restoration as a sign of good faith.

This led to the establishment of a rule based order and Aons started to trade with other civilizations for resources instead of waging wars. Many of the crucial technologies of Aons require unique and rare materials. The demand for these is equally high from other civilizations.

The trade between the civilizations takes place through these resources instead of a currency. In order to dominate the weaker civilizations Aons have launched the virtual world "Paradise" and provided them with many services in it. Most of weaker civilizations entire economy runs around it. Aons charge a hefty sum of resources for access to Paradise.

There are many civilizations out there with their own version of virtual world but none have the range and sophistication as the Paradise, making it the number one. Paradise also provides for weaker civilizations access to the universe as their technological capabilities are limited. It led to the rapid development and integration of the universe.

Paradise is not a game but a platform for connecting the entire universe and it can be used in many ways as long as you are able to afford it. Although it is a virtual world it still runs on the same principles as the simulation of Earth, but with more sophistication and greater replication of the principles behind the working of the Aon universe. It is regularly updated with the improvements from Aons research on the mysteries of universe so it is becoming more and more comparable to the real universe. This makes it possible to conduct many experiments and research here without wasting resources for a low cost. It is one of its main selling point.

Paradise is a multi-layered simulation in which different layers are linked to each other but movement between different layers is restricted by rank of the Aon. One can go to lower levels but can't go to upper levels without an invitation or getting access to it. It can be compared to the concept of heaven and hell on Earth. They are separated just like how heaven and hell are separated from earth. Each layer has its own benefit so there is a huge competition by weak civilizations to climb higher and get access to higher tier technology. There are many ways one can get access to higher levels and one of them is just using resources to buy access to next level.
