While Alyx was banging his head trying to study new topics on which he has no prior knowledge, the rest of Aonverse (A/N: Universe in which Aons live) is still proceeding in a regular manner with no change in the status quo but many things are happening in the shadows and at the fringes of the Aonverse. Although Alyx is now an Aon and has great processing power he is still in no way comparable to other Aons due to his obstinacy and fear of losing his "self'.

To overcome this he made Ax to study the books and just summarize the entire data on what is possible and what is not and later discuss with him on that summary to fill in the gaps. Alyx is trying many ways to circumvent task ahead of him and at the same time be in control. He is in a trial and error process to find the best way forward.

Although the Aons enjoy great power in the Aonverse they are still unable to completely map the universe. They are unable to find the edge of the universe or even verify whether it exists. This is one of the biggest mysteries and is heavily researched and explored. Their biggest fear is the existence of threats which are unknown to them and which can lead to their destruction if they are not prepared.

With the increasing expansion of Aons the demand for resources is ever increasing and the existence of rare and essential resources is so scarce and over-exploited in the regions of Aons rule, that they have no choice but to explore the far reaches of the Aonverse and look for new sources. During their long run to their ascendency to power they have grown to such a large extent that they need huge resources just to sustain themselves and not appear vulnerable to other power hungry civilizations looking to usurp their technology and destroy them.

This is one of the reason for Aons signing a peace treaty with Dragons and stop waging wars casually but using a more of a merchant approach to gain resources. Since the resources needed to fight wars is not a small amount and would eventually lead to their destruction. Despite all this new Aons are created and many simulations are maintained with varying conditions to prevent a stagnation in their technology and find new and innovative solutions to their problems. As these have proved successful in many instances with development of many new technologies and other useful inventions which lead to increased wealth / resources for the Aons.

In the vast emptiness of the space a huge fleet of spaceships can be seen moving at a high speed but still less than the speed of light. They came suddenly into existence in this region and are continuing at this speed from then onwards.

The size of spaceships in this fleet is varied and at first glance we can at least see a few hundred thousand of them moving as a swarm of insects when looked from afar. The fleet contained various types of vessels from frigates to carriers. (A/N: I'll give their descriptions when needed instead of an info dump.)

The fleet is known as HX-**** (A/N: Horizon Explorer) and is headed by an Aon at the rank of Admiral, Leo. The main mission of this fleet is to search for new sources of rare resources at the fringes of the Aonverse and patrol the border.

The fleet had received a transmission by one of their scouters that has discovered a huge deposit of Pyrine, a highly unstable source of ether in solid form, on a huge planetoid. The fleet later lost connection with the scouter and are now on their way to further survey the region and decide on their future course of action.

Admiral Leo is one of the youngest in the history of Aons to reach that position. After certain ranks it is not just the CP but there are certain prerequisites for increasing the rank so this is not an easy task. To achieve that at such a young age made him very famous among the Aon circle and even throughout the Aonverse.

Not many know this but he is an Aon similar to Alyx in one aspect, he is also born from a simulation but the simulation from which he was from was highly developed and already had many senior Aons before him. The entire system of selection to become an Aon was a common sense in that simulation and the few spots available to become an Aon are heavily contested. To be one of those is a testament to his capabilities but there are many such as him out there among the Aons from different simulations. The main reason for his success is his out of the box thinking and approach to different problems which is very radical.

As the fleet is approaching the planetoid they can make out its dimensions and the researchers on the fleet are astonished seeing the size of the planet as it is not possible for something like that to form naturally. It is several times larger than MBN and the fleet immediately went on high alert.

Any civilization which can create such a huge structure will not be easy to handle and it can easily lead to a war if handled improperly. Leo was not afraid of the war but Pyrine is a highly unstable material and can easily disintegrate leading to a huge explosion and loss of the resource.

Leo ordered the fleet to stop and sent a few stealth scouters to study the situation and find the missing scouters remains. The fleet had stopped a few billion kilometers away, a safe distance to react in case of an emergency.
