Everyone took ear protection items, they understood that this Underground Queen must have extraordinary mental power, that's why sound weapons were being requested.
Sound could destabilize mindpower of any kind unless the enemy's mindpower was too great to block out the ambient sound1, but if that kind of frightening enemy were present, the enemy would only need to raise his hand and bring down the all, they wouldn't even be able to fight.
"Nothing what have you done now?" Kashka asked getting closer, but only enough so that he could hear the omega woman.
Nehand was surprised to find her underground friend along with the police, but she forced herself to focus on the current situation.
"Kashka, we need to get this person to the hospital," Nehand said showing the passed-out Ehione.
"That's not what I asked, what was it you threw? Where did it come from? Of the Rebels?" Kashka looked at Ehione passed out, but he didn't move and kept asking.
Of course, he hopefully hoped that Nadira had nothing to do with the Rebels, but he had to be very careful with her.
"This is not interrogation time. If you want you can arrest me now, but you have to take this person urgently to the hospital." Nehand said kneeling on the floor in surrender, Phomello did the same thing.
She didn't feel humiliated or anything like that, if she had to roll on the floor like a dog she would without blinking, her life was in danger at that moment. The best thing to do was to go with the police to the security station, where they could solve any problem, as long as Ehione was sure they could live.
Kashka had no choice but to arrest Nehand and her friends, after ascertaining that there were no more bombs or weapons with them, only a small laser-gun was taken from Nehand. They took Ehione to the treatment room at the police station itself, Phomello was taken to one interrogation room and Nehand to another.
Of course, there was no time for any interrogation as her brother and an Imperial Envoy arrived at the police station, with the imperial guards waiting outside almost surrounding the entire area of the police station.
Fortunately, with curfew there wasn't a single living soul outside to see such a spectacle, it would be a scandal to see so many imperial guards in such a poor neighborhood in the capital.
Kashka was shocked to receive the two prominent figures of the Diablo Empire, but he was even more shocked to learn that the fainted man was part of the imperial family and that "Nadira" served the imperial family, she was protecting the fainted man.
Of course, Kashka believed the story only a little, as he saw how Nadira behaved towards Ehione earlier in the underground arena. Yet what could he do when a nobleman and an Imperial Envoy were claiming such things?
He just checked the credentials of Roho Achebe and the Imperial Envoy, they really were who they claimed to be.
Luckily, Ehione didn't have any sequels and Nehand didn't suffer much either, she was just too tired.
"Brother, I will take this person with me. He's a very talented omega who saved my life earlier today," Nehand said when she found Roho in the reception room. She was going to take Phomello with her when Kashka arrived and overheard Roho and Nehand's conversation.
"So you are a noblewoman," Kashka said with a wry smile. The two of them hid their identities, he who was undercover to keep an eye on some Rebel agents and she was also lying for whatever reason he didn't know.
"And you're a police captain… If you don't tell me, I'll pretend none of this happened" Nehand said, winking at her in a very playful way, making Kashka laugh.
"Nothing happened today," Kashka said with one last smile before leaving the reception room, he asked his lieutenant to release the paperwork so Phomello could be released.
Of course, the entire case would be filed confidential, given the imperial family's involvement in this.
"He can pretend nothing happened, but I can't pretend you haven't run away from home again…" Roho started in an icy tone.
Though physically weaker than Nehand, Roho's authority as Nehand's almost father figure was absolute, given her father's absence due to war and her mother's death a few years ago, Roho held a special place for Nehand. So she obediently kept silent awaiting her older brother's fury.
Nehand knew she had a bitter punishment ahead of her, but Roho didn't fight her for the moment, he hugged her, his body trembling slightly.
"What would I do if something happened to you?!" Roho had been terrified to realize that his little sister was alone facing such danger in an unknown place where he could not run to protect her.
The two held each other for a while, Nehand stroking his older brother's frail back trying to calm the other party until Kashka brought Phomello into the reception room, then they left together.
Of course, Nehand was punished severely and watched even more intensely, but she passively accepted the punishment. Anyway, she had a lot to do with Phomello beside her, she wasn't alone and could still have someone to teach.
She occasionally thought of the alpha who in her arms had kissed her to "live", but the thought faded with time. Nehand had a lot to do, she was responsible for the family guards and going out to check the territory now and then as her brother was always going to court and doing paperwork for the development of the duchy's territory.
Nehand was absolutely certain that she would live a free and unimpeded life, but fate had been cruel to her, making her betrothed to the Crown Prince. Everyone said it was for the good of the nation and the balance of power between the nobles, the imperial family, the army, and religion.
Her family insisted that she not marry as it would be problematic. So the Princess Regent went to visit her in person and made many things clear to her, no one knew about the conversation between Nehand and the Princess Regent, but the next day Nehand agreed to the wedding.
When Ehione woke up, he was already in the palace hospital, he woke up alone. He was stunned for a while until he remembered what had happened, he was sure he had been saved by Nadira in that dark alley.
And that he had kissed her as if the world might end at that moment, he felt a mixture of surprise, bitterness, and warmth in his heart. He wondered for a long time if he would ever meet Nadira again.
Nehand and Ehione were married, but they didn't recognize each other either through their disguise or because of the containment of their pheromones in that reunion.
Even more so with Nehand's posture being very rational, hardworking, and serious, almost the opposite of Nadira who was brave, friendly, energetic, and arrogant. Ehione, on the other hand, had a dignified, austere, and fair demeanor, unlike Rafiki who talked nonsense, put himself at risk and was daring.
Even if Nehand knew that Ehione was Rafiki, she couldn't reveal that she was Nadira, as the power of shapeshifting was a secret.
Ade only got this information, because he is Nehand's son and the Achebe family trusts him, but this has to be kept a secret so that people do not greedy for the "sacred" powers of the Achebe family.
Ehione awakened from his memories of the past when the door to the room opened and Kashka, now Nehand's personal knight, and Phomello, the retired empress's personal assistant and best friend, entered the room.
The former emperor who knew nothing of Phomello and Kashka's involvement in the bombing accident many years ago greeted the two men who entered.
Kashka and Phomello looked at Ehione with a mixture of courtesy, but there was a coolness in their eyes. They looked at the regeneration pod where they saw Nehand's face, their gazes softening almost immediately.
"Your Excellency will remain in the room?" Phomello asked after checking the doctor's opinion on the digital data on the recovery capsule. Nehand would be fine, she was just too exhausted from using her mind power, holding back two blasts ended up draining a lot of her mind power.
"Is there a problem if I stay?" Ehione asked indifferently. He well knew that he was hated by Nehand's employees and followers. To them Ehione is an ungrateful one, Nehand gave him four Alpha-Extreme children and he even dared to marry two more omega women.
"It's no problem, but you'll have to deal with Duke Achebe and Doctor Achebe, as well as General Achebe and Priest Achebe... I wish you luck" Phomello said bowing and placing his left hand over his heart. He formally said goodbye, taking Kashka with him.
The Achebe family is a neutral family, which has always been a supporter of the Diablo zerg's progress, but that didn't mean they didn't have influence at every vital point in the Diablo Empire.
Ehione took a deep breath, but he made himself more comfortable in the armchair that sat beside the regeneration capsule. Even if he had to face the entire Achebe Family, he had to have a conversation with Nehand.
