Chapter 122 - Interrogation (Part-2)

The interrogation proceeded in a very dull but consistent manner and the divine item never once glowed black, which left Chara and Judge Radhiya herself a little dismayed.

Really, a person who was totally honest?

Of course, the answers that Emery would have to lie to fit what was morally acceptable or accepted in reality, after all the reality for a mortal and for a titan were totally different, what was impossible for a mortal was very possible for a titan, as to control time and space with just a mere thought.

"Dragon hybrids cannot survive the second phase of transformation, but you are here alive and strong, according to the military hospital exams you are a rare hybrid that survived, did you have help?" Chara asked wearily, but this was a question that had the medical and scientific community in an uproar in the imperial capital.

After all, the case of Emery's avatar was well known and he was hospitalized in the end-stage patient area going straight into the arms of death, but now here he was, alive and healthy, possibly becoming the noblest among the nobles of the empire by marrying Emperor Ade.

"Yeah, I got help," Emery replied, but he was terse in his answers.

"Who did you get help from? Of the Rebels? Of the silver angels?" Chara asked coldly, excited that she had something to keep Emery away from Emperor Ade.

Like many of Emperor Ade's followers, employees, and supporters, she could not accept that the Emperor would marry a hybrid who had no drop of blood from the Zerg Diablos. Much less than this person rose to the position of the empress, it would be regarded as a disgrace to the ancestors and would foul the noble blood of the imperial family.

"I didn't get help from the Rebels or the Silver Angels, I also have no contact with any of them or any connection with them. I can't tell you who I got help from, as they all seem very aggressive, you will end up assaulting that person too. I refuse to say anything more... Ade I want to go to the bedroom"

Emery spoke very firmly and dispassionately until he looked at the emperor and asked to go to his room with pitiful eyes.

Of course, the divine item continued to glow milky white. Chara even though the divine item might be defective but dared not speak such nonsense in front of Judge Radhiya.

"You're being questioned and you're suspicious, I'm afraid you can't get out of here," Judge Radhiya said as she saw how the emperor kept silent to Emery's request, she breathed with relief, she thought Ade would react emotionally and take it away from his lover from prison, going against everyone's opinion.

"Berta…" Ade spoke to Juma Berta, the imperial secretary sighed. He well knew how furious Ade was now.

"Just don't hurt anyone, the most you can do is call Marshal Nanyamka, as Your Majesty has done nothing that is considered treason, she won't be able to do anything to Your Majesty either"

Berta said that and pulled the imperial envoy to leave the place that was going to become a mess, everyone thought it was strange to leave the imperial secretary and the imperial envoy, but they thought they had duties to fulfill at the emperor's behest.

Fortunately, most of the imperial guards had been dismissed after an hour of interrogation, it would be ridiculous to keep them all here and leave the palace unguarded, so there was only a group of ten people, plus Chara, Judge Radhiya, and Emperor Ade in the prison.

"So let's continue, who is the person who helped you? What kind of medicine did he give you? How advanced is this person's technology?" Chara kept asking as if the fact that Emery had survived the second phase was a crime in itself.

"I won't answer," Emery said very calmly sitting in the cell and looking anywhere that didn't have these upset people.

"If you don't respond, then we may consider this person who helped you to be part of the Rebels or other of our enemies... Just confess, your interest in the emperor is only to get the inside information!" Chara said with such certainty that Emery almost thought it was true, just to look and smile mockingly at his interrogator.

However, he remained silent, which made Chara even more confident and Judge Radhiya was already going to use a friendly tone to console Emperor Ade, who had remained silent since Secretary Berta and the Imperial Envoy left prison.

Suddenly everyone felt their bodies heavy, even Judge Radhiya who was sitting felt she couldn't move, those who were standing ended up kneeling on the ground with trembling bodies, they couldn't even lift their heads, they were like little servants before a god.

The divine item of the goddess of justice and truth was deactivated almost automatically, given the incarnation of Ashia's power1, the goddess of truth and justice had to maintain respect.

"I've had enough and I believe the humiliation of my dignity and the dignity of my partner was enough to satisfy your desire to make him look like a villain"

Ade's voice was heavy and every word seemed to cause pain to the listeners, of course, Emery felt nothing because he wasn't a Zerg Diablo, so he was just delighted to see the emperor angry for him.

With the power vested in him as emperor, he opened the cell that Emery was imprisoned so easily, Ade held Emery in his arms kissing his forehead and inhaling the scent of his omega with great satisfaction, until the titan felt embarrassed and said to let him go, but the emperor didn't hear and left carrying Emery like a princess rescued from the clutches of a dragon.

"Your majesty is going against the wishes of your subjects and against the law, clearly this person is a suspect..." Judge Radhiya said looking at Emperor Ade with her glittering diamond eyes.

"If it were against the law, my power wouldn't be working on you, Judge Radhiya," the emperor said carelessly and smiled very badly at the judge.

"Also, I hope everyone spreads the rumors that I'm going to let Emery marked me as theirs… I won't forget to talk with the Prime Minister to demand an apology and disciplinary action with some penalty for today. Remember, this person will be your future empress"

Emperor Ade's declaration made everyone shudder and horror gripped those present, Judge Radhiya looking in surprise at the "emperor's tyranny".

"The people will not accept... Emperor, think again, this person could be dangerous to your majesty's life" Judge Radhiya said humbly, she could not accept that the man she had loved for so long and that for many reasons she couldn't marry him, let that person choose this route of destruction.

Radhiya Lisha loved Emperor Ade, they were childhood friends, but thanks to the path she chose the romance were doomed to failure before it even started, as the judges could not have this kind of relationship with their monarchs.

She well knew that if Emperor Ade chose this hybrid of a dragon, which apparently had no passing and they didn't know what his intention was, the nobles would likely want the Emperor's head.

"Besides, your majesty is breaking..."

"There is no law that prohibits the emperor from being marked by his omega" Ade cut the judge's argument. He knew he was going to face hell for the words spoken today, but the nobles and his own supporters were already wanting to harm Emery's life even without him declaring their relationship, so he would speak to the four corners of the galaxy of Adriadina that he was linked with the hybrid of a dragon.

"However, it is a centuries-old tradition of our species not to allow the leader of our nation to be bound so that he is not controlled by others..." Judge Radhiya said touching on Concubine Jang's recent wound as a warning to Emperor Ade.

"This is an old tradition that allowed the emperor to marry other people for political contracts for marriage, I don't need that kind of political contract, if it can't be resolved civilly then any civility will be discarded"

"But the nobles will not be quiet, they will send concubines to the emperor" Judge Radhiya insisted on the matter. She was being selfish, so her sky blue gown that was a work uniform blessed by the goddess of truth and justice, the goddess Chioma started to lose its shine.

"They can send as many concubines as they like, none will enter my palace and none will be accepted as mine," Ade said with a calm smile, as he kissed his beloved omega's forehead once more, making his position on the matter clear.

"I understand, your highness," Judge Radhiya said dejectedly, but she well knew that her old childhood friend was a very kind man, considerate, but equally stubborn when making a firm resolve.

"I'm glad you understood, Lisha," Ade said, in a slightly better mood and looking at everyone more calmly.

Judge Radhiya was surprised that the emperor had called her name, this had been years ago, as it would not be looked upon favorably if she maintained intimate contact with the emperor, so she restricted contact with Emperor Ade to a minimum.

It was hard to put how Radhiya Lisha felt, she didn't want to see her friend and loved one facing hell because of an unknown omega, at the same time, she knew that this was the result of her selfishness, so she gave up insisting since it would go against her work ethic and of course against the will of truth and justice.

If she continued to insist, she would lose not only Ade's regard but also the goddess's love, meaning she would lose everything she loved.

Esi Chara was a little bitter in her heart, she knew that she would soon be called by the emperor to find out who had given such audacity to arrest his lover.

She just hoped that Marshal Azikiwe would intervene, otherwise, she would have no choice but to speak up and let Emperor Ade understand as he pleased.
