Chapter 664: Ruler ‘Pang Yi’

Many figures began appearing in this region of the starry sky.

There was the old Primal Master who was wearing simple robes, the luxurious-garbed Empress Qian He, the black-haired, black-robed Temporal Island Lord, the Purgatory Ruler—a somewhat cold and handsome man wearing golden armor. There was also Ruler Nile, whose colossal figure was emitting a bloody aura, the Abyss Primogenitor with his full beard and loose garb, the Myriad God Palace Master who was dressed in starry robes and had a seemingly cold countenance, and finally, a crimson-robed man holding the deepest and most profound aura of the bunch—the Bloodshed God Emperor himself. There were a total of eight Rulers and two other figures who had just appeared.

One of these newly appeared figures belonged to a teenager wearing moon-white robes and who wore a warm expression. The other was a barefoot man with messy hair and whose gray robes were half-exposed.

The warm teenager gave off the feeling of spring and rain. He was exuding now pressure whatsoever, which left others feeling like they’d want to get closer to him.

The gray-robed barefoot man had a gentle expression, but he gave off the natural feeling of a leader, giving everyone the impulse of wanting to serve him.

These two were none other than Pang Yi and Monarch Green! They both had power comparable to Rulers.

This time, all ten of the Cultivation Cosmos’s top existences had gathered.

“Primal, you’re worthy of your status as the oldest being in our epoch. We’ve all investigated this place, but you were the only one who discovered something strange about it,” Ruler Nile joked.

“I too have gone over this place countless times, but it just so happened that this time I discovered something that wasn’t quite normal. It was only after carefully pondering the situation that I discovered a gap.” The Primal Master chuckled. He was relatively happy to have succeeded since the concealing techniques used by the Ancestor Mother Religion really were quite formidable.

“Since we’ve found the place, there’s no reason to wait any longer. Prepare to move,” the Bloodshed God Emperor immediately stated.

“Bloodshed, you take the lead,” said the Abyss Primogenitor.

“I agree,” the Primal Master added.

None of the nine people present disagreed.

After all, everyone knew that the Bloodshed God-Emperor had the most complex cultivation of the bunch! He was ranked first in terms of both arrays and refinement. It was easy to see how proficient he was in many different aspects. As a result, he seemed to be the only one fit to lead so many Rulers who all had different areas of expertise.

“Alright.” The Bloodshed God Emperor did not try to decline. He immediately began making his preparations.

“Weng.”

The void behind the Bloodshed God Emperor suddenly broke open, and an enormous golden eye appeared deep within the crack. The eyeball was pointed at a particular region far into the distance, and it was enough to leave the aura emitted by the Bloodshed God Emperor feeling chaotic. The black bird on his shoulder was maintaining a state of vigilance, knowing that the Bloodshed God Emperor currently had no way of retaliating and required it to protect him.

“They’ve discovered us, so they’re getting ready to flee,” the Bloodshed God Emperor mentioned. The crack behind him was rapidly closing up, and the enormous golden eye also disappeared.

“Hear my orders.”

A flash of killing intent appeared in his eyes.

Thus the highest level of cultivators within this cosmos underwent a huge battle. This fight occurred in secret, and only ten people on the side of the cultivators participated in it.

Back in the Icy Snow Eden, Xue Ying was standing on the snow, displaying his spear techniques using the Blood Serpent Spear. The killing intent within his spear techniques began forming, causing many flashes of his weapon to arc through the sky and destroy the surroundings.

He was stuck at the Time Boundary of the Cultivating Heart Secret Technique. He had discovered in time that he was not well fit for an obstinate path of cultivation. As a result, he decided to place the matter aside and begin his research into the Dao of Mirage alongside the flying knife True God weapon, as well as the Dao of Slaughter within the Blood Serpent Spear. He understood well enough that what he currently lacked most was a powerful offense. As such, he was doing his best to study the Dao of Slaughter in hopes of eventually opening it.

He wished for this to the extent that he had even occasionally pondered the Devil Blade since the Dao of Slaughter Blade was also one of the aspects of slaughter.

“Hu.”

Xue Ying suddenly put away his spear, a look of shock on his face.

“What? Big Brother Huo Cheng, are you certain this is true?” Xue Ying asked via karma.

“It is! Pang Yi has become a Ruler. I’ve received this information directly from my teacher, so how could it be fake?” Huo Cheng was clearly very excited.

“Pang Yi has finally become a Ruler…” Xue Ying was startled.

Pang Yi’s combat power was unfathomable. Before even becoming a Ruler, he was already eight on the Cosmos Deity-Demon List, one position ahead of the Bloody Ruler and even beyond Monarch Green.

“Who was it that discovered this information?” Xue Ying asked. “Did he make it public of his own accord?”

“The Rulers discovered a certain important location belonging to the Ancestor Mother Religion. Thinking it was their base, eight Rulers joined by Pang Yi, and Monarch Green acted together to invade this location! However, the place only proved to contain a religious leader and two of his protectors, yet with the help of their territory, the religious leader was still able to hold on for a very long time. It was during this assault that Pang Yi suddenly displayed an incredibly powerful combat power, isolating the protectors within a certain area and killing them directly. This lead to a hole forming in the region which supposed to be held down by those two protectors, and the religious leader was forced to use a certain unique treasure which allowed him to disappear,” Paragon Huo Cheng explained. “Even so, this raid proved to be very useful to us, according to Teacher, since it allowed us to discover many of the Ancestor Mother Religion’s secrets.”

Xue Ying nodded.

It was an area protected by a religious leader and two protectors; it was only natural that they’d uncover some secrets there.

“Now that Pang Yi has become a Ruler his combat power is simply unimaginable. Furthermore, he was able to separate the heavy protection of that important location and kill those two protectors located within directly, something that even the Bloodshed God-Emperor and the others had not managed to do,” Paragon Huo Cheng said. “Formidable, truly too formidable. I’ve asked my teacher before, and it seemed that this ability was supposedly granted by a new cultivation technique created by Pang Yi himself.”

“Formidable indeed,” Xue Ying replied.

After Paragon Huo Cheng informed him of this matter, the Bloodshed God Emperor himself soon mentioned the same thing to his disciple. “Xue Ying, that portion of the star map you provided was indeed accurate. We’ve discovered an important location belonging to the Ancestor Mother Religion there, and through the arrays protecting the place, we are able to deduce that the whole region was part of a huge array, together with two other important locations and the main base of the Ancestor Mother Religion. That array is truly powerful and stable! Fortunately, Pang Yi was able to display his secret technique and kill off all the claws and teeth underneath the religious leader, leaving holes behind in the internal operation of the arrays. We were then able to rely on this new-found opportunity to destroy the array for good in a single move! Hahaha, since this area has already been broken through, the other two important locations, as well as the base of the Ancestor Mother Religion, lost their protection. According to these arrays, we are also able to deduce that the Ancestor Mother Religion is certainly located at that starfield.”

Xue Ying was able to sense the joy his teacher had.

After the Bloodshed God-Emperor also finished sending this information over…

Very soon, other familiar Paragons and a considerable amount of powerful existences began transmitting the same news to him. After all, the emergence of a new Ruler… was a huge deal to the entire cosmos. It was bound to create a considerable disturbance. As the news gradually spread, many World Deities and even ordinary Deities started hearing about the same thing: a new Ruler had emerged in the Deity world—Pang Yi!

Half a year after Pang Yi became a Ruler, he took in a new disciple, and that disciple’s name was none other than Hui Ming!

Indeed, he was Xue Ying’s eldest disciple brother, Hui Ming.

A day after Hui Ming took on the role of Pang Yi’s disciple, a considerable hullabaloo spread over the entire Deity world and Dark Abyss.

The reason for this was that Hui Ming actually transcended to become a powerful existence!

He, someone who had fervently spread his religion and caused countless karmic lines to entangle around him as a stage four World Deity, had actually transcended to become a powerful existence a single day after Pang Yi took him as a student! This matter stirred up countless rumors. Be they Rulers or World Deities, everyone was feeling dizzy.

He was someone who became a stage four World Deity by relying on absorbing belief energy, which should have meant it would be almost certain he could not transcend! But a single day after accepting Pang Yi as his teacher, Hui Ming broke through. Everyone could guess that this had to be related to the newly emerged Ruler, Pang Yi. In fact, even Pang Yi himself admitted that despite the countless karma threads entangling a person, someone who used his cultivation technique would be able to transcend.

As such—

The whole world was in a state of unbridled excitement. Large amounts of stage four World Deities hoped to become Pang Yi’s disciples, and even some of the Rulers asked Pang Yi to help them. In fact, even the Bloodshed God Emperor himself had asked him, “Would it be possible for Xue Ying or Bamboo Mountain to break through by relying on this technique?”

“They have already opened their Dao paths, so there’s nothing I can do to help them,” Pang Yi answered directly.

Xue Ying himself was thinking of some way of giving his wife, Jing Qiu, the chance to join Pang Yi’s sect.

There were too many experts wishing to seek his tutelage since everyone hoped to one day transcend just like Hui Ming.

After all, if it meant transcending, most stage four World Deities would not mind any price they’d have to pay, and Pang Yi himself was well aware of this.

“There is a chance for you to become my disciples. Come over and listen to three days of my teachings about the Dao. If you can comprehend them, you may stay. Otherwise, I must ask you to leave,” Pang Yi had directly broadcasted these words. “However, I feel obligated to remind you all that Hui Ming was the only one to have succeeded in cultivating my technique so far.”

The moment he broadcasted that he would be holding a public lecture on the Dao, a massive number of stage four World Deities, be they from the Deity world or the Dark Abyss, and even some of those secluded World Deities came rushing over. Even some of the weaker experts, such as stage three and stage two World Deities had arrived.

Paragons were not excluded from this meeting, and even the Rulers sent an avatar or True God avatar over.

Xue Ying himself had also sent a World Deity avatar over to listen to the lecture.

However, as soon as he heard the contents, Xue Ying immediately fell into a daze.

Pang Yi’s cultivation technique required spreading one’s religion and using the accumulated faith in cultivation, yet actually achieving success using this technique was truly difficult. During this meeting, despite so many World Deities being present, including even stage two and stage three World Deities, none succeeded! There were, after all, a significant number of people similar to Xue Ying in that they never even absorbed faith energy. For people like them, it was even more of an impossibility to succeed.

The wave created by Pang Yi’s cultivation gradually spread, allowing everyone to once again confirm that transcending wasn’t so easy.

One year after Pang Yi became a Ruler, the most ancient Ruler in the cosmos, the Primal Master, finally edited and released the newest revision of his Cosmos Deity-Demon List, and spread it out to every expert listed on it. Naturally, Xue Ying had also received a copy.
