Chapter 82 - 80-Meeting Steve Again

Fury told me that we were going to meet Steve and Bruce Banner on the Shield Hellicarrier. We got on a QuinJet and left.

{Some Time Later}

So Fury and I arrived on the Hellicarrier to meet with everyone. I had let Fury go a bit ahead of me while I kept looking at the Hellicarrier, it was a thing of beauty if I had to say. I had only seen it in the movies so I didn't think that it had such a scale but on seeing it in person you can tell that it's huge.

I came across Fury while seeing Steve handing him few dollars. And then it happened, Steve saw me and his eyebrows shot up, and he kept staring at me completely shocked but then recovered his bearing and then came towards and held his hand

"Steve Rogers, I might have been in the army with your grandfather." He said.

Now I was shocked, Steve thought that I was a descendant of myself who fought with him in the war.

And then with an embarrassed face, I said

"Umm.., Steve it's me. I am the Vali you fought with."

And there it was a totally shocker for everyone around there, though Fury still didn't let an emotion come on his face but he was shocked too, he knew I was powerful but he didn't know that I had been on Earth back then too.

In these years I had always thought what would Steve do when he will see me, will he be angry with me for not saving him or will he starting fighting with me or will we have an heated exchange of words. But what happened I didn't even expect, Steve just took me in his embrace and hugged me. I never expected this, I always thought that he would get angry and why wouldn't someone be when they lose all their friends and spent years on ice even thought they can be saved. I could see that Steve was overwhelmed, happy to see at least one familiar face. Wait a moment hadn't he met Peggy yet and the. it hit me, Fury hadn't yet taken Steve to Peggy yet.

"Steve, You okay? " I asked.

" Y..e.s, But Hoow?" he asked.

"I will tell you all that later, But first have you met Peggy yet?" I asked

"What?? She is alive??" Asked Steve

"Yes" I told him while staring at Fury for not telling Steve about it.

"Come on Let's go."I told him.

"We are going to have a talk later Fury." I said

I teleported with Steve To meet Peggy.

I took Steve directly to Peggy's room.

Steve's reaction on seeing Peggy was moving, he cried while talking to her. In all my time with him during the war, I had never seen him cry but now he was sitting there shedding tears. So to give them privacy, I went out of the room.
