The lights lit up in the concert hall as the curtains parted to reveal Spark sitting in the middle of the stage, lit by a single spotlight. Princess Sophie was clad in her beautiful dress as she sat in the auditorium alone. Spark squinted at her as he thought of Molly.

Molly and Sophie had lived completely different lives. Sophie grew up in a loving household where she was spoiled to no end while Molly suffered endlessly. His heart still ached whenever he thought of all of the things that Molly had gone through.

He placed the violin under his chin and the bow on the strings. With a gleam of sadness coming into his eyes, he began to play.

As the violin sang through the quiet hall, Spark was drowning in his music and thoughts. The image of Molly flashed in his mind. He recalled that snowy night when he met Molly in the streets of London. He took in Molly and said that he was taking a day off from work. When in fact, he just wanted to protect her. He was a free man and that was what he liked to keep. He didn't like being hindered by any rules of some sort in both his life and his music. He didn't want to be like his mother. But when he met her, he had come to realize that everything in life was, indeed, fated.

After all, he was still his mother's son at the end of the day. It's not a very good feeling to love someone who doesn't love you back. He wasn't the one she loved but that didn't change the fact that he would do anything for

“Who does she think she is? I won’t marry her even if she is the last woman on earth,” said Hiram Rong.

“Marry into a family with tens of billions of assets? How lucky I am! I won’t be so foolish as to break off the engagement. At worst, I can receive money as part of the divorce settlement,” said Rachel Ruan.

Their great-grandfathers made a pact about their engagement a hundred years ago...

ick you couldn't cut through it at the No. 4 Concert Hall backstage. As soon as Molly saw the man come through the door, she had felt her chest well up and her bones chilled to the core.

Brian kept one hand on the door and the other in his trouser's pocket. His face still the same emotionless rock as it was before. His eyes were dim as usual.

It had been four years since they were separated. And they finally met again.

Brian's hand on the door suddenly gripped way too hard that the veins on his hands were starting to appear when he saw Molly. The impact on the door made a cracking sound that stressed Molly.

She could feel the tension wrapping around her head and she suddenly found it hard to breathe. She tried to calm herself down by telling herself that everything was over and that they were just strangers now. But when she looked into his eyes, it was as if it pierced straight through her heart.

Brian felt the pain in his heart shoot up when he saw the fear in her eyes. It triggered a deluge of mixed memories of love and hatred he had over the past few years.
