Chapter 635 Danger Lurked In Every Corner (Part One)

Name:Love Crisis Author:Yue Xia Xiao Hun
If it hurts too much, just let go; if you still can't be with someone after trying your hardest, then get over them and move on. Why beat yourself up?

The car zoomed along the street in the dead of the night. After a while, it screeched to a halt in front of the villa. Tony rushed out of the car and opened the door for his boss. Brian got out first and then turned around to carry Molly out of the car. He looked at her pale face and her blank eyes; he was worried to death.

"Call the doctor!" Brian ordered as he carried her into the villa.

He entered the bedroom and gently placed Molly on the bed, not minding her ragged and dirty clothes. "Mol..." he called urgently, but

she didn't respond, her eyes fixed on one spot blankly. She just lay there, like a soulless shell.

Brian's coarse fingers brushed the disheveled hair on her forehead. He bent over and pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, begging, "Mol, say something. Please."

Still nothing. No matter what he said, she didn't react. Molly felt like she had been taken into a confined house with no doors or windows. It was pitch-black. She was frightened.

And suddenly, she started shaking. Her eyes widened and she was short of breath. Each time Brian called her name, she was filled with fear, along with a feeling of deep rejection towards him.

He frowned in grief and looked at her lovingly, his lips pressed into a thin line. He didn't say anything more. The terror on her face wriggled his heart mercilessly.

Under the circumstance they were in, life and death were just a hair's breadth apart. He knew that it would traumatize her, but he had had no other choice.

He had figured out what kind of person that guy was, so he couldn't let that man have her. If he had, he would regret it for the rest of his life.

To keep both her and the Long family's rule over Dragon Island out of danger, he had to pretend to be cruel to her, although the whole charade was breaking her heart and it was undoubtedly going to result in her hating him more than ever. But she would never know how much he had wanted to protect her, how worried he was when she was in danger. He had pretended to not care about her to deceive his enemy. The situation had been very tricky. If he had shown even a tiny bit of affection towards her, that man would have killed her just to break Brian.

He swallowed his agony and turned his head away from her. H

“Do you still want to run away after what happened last night?”

Their relationship changes overnight. She tries to keep her distance from him, while he comes closer and closer.

Spoiling her, he gives her everything she desires. His only wish is to keep her around. The whole world is envious of what she has.

“Never rush in a relationship,” she says calmly.

Brian's win today, he has made one thing very clear- he has been putting on a show. He cares about Molly." Turning around, he took a dart from the table and looked at the dartboard. His sideburns moved along with his jaw as he spoke, "On the day when the National Congress commences, all I need to do is to stall him."

He threw the dart and it hit the bull's-eye.

He turned to Reuben and continued, "Old man, you go ahead and do whatever you have planned for the National Congress. I won't let Brian set foot on Dragon Island during the National Congress."

Saying that, Jeff turned around and walked out.

He got into his car and drove away. With a sneer playing on his lips, one arm resting on the door handle, and with the other on the wheel, he pressed down on the accelerator. Only speeding could calm him down at that moment.

The tires screeched as he hit the breaks all of a sudden.

The car came to a halt by the beach. The screeching sound was drowned out by the seething sea.

He got out of the car and sat on the hood, legs overlapped. He lit a cigarette and puffed, looking at the sea, which had turned into an inky blackness under the dark sky.

The sea wind blew in his face; he could feel the saltiness in the air. His short curly hair stirred in the breeze, disheveled, making him look even more arrogant and blood thirsty.

His phone buzzed. He pulled it out of his pocket with a frown. After seeing the caller ID, he answered it with a smile. "It's late. Why are you still up? Missing me?" he asked tenderly.

The sweet talk sounded even more intoxicating amid the sea wind.
