Chapter 1309 Extra Story 64 Of Edgar Meet Again

Name:Love Crisis Author:Yue Xia Xiao Hun
Seeing how persistent yet miserable Maggie looked, Monica could not help but sigh and speak with a dry voice. "Maggie, I don't know what happened to you when you stayed at the Eagle Special Brigade, but if there is anything you can't let go of, you'd better not try to force yourself to let go of it, because I know you're a person who stubbornly insists on following your own ideas. If you give up, you will feel even more distressed."

Maggie turned her head to look at Monica, her eyes swelled with tears and her lips quivered because of what Monica had said. Her bosom friend knew and understood her too well! She should not have tried to live her life in this way, but love was so excruciating. For so many years, she had longed for Edgar and worked hard in order to get closer to him. Before leaving the Eagle Special Brigade, she truly believed that she had finally made such an impact that she could leave with her heart resting easy. However, later it seemed as though Edgar hadn't taken her seriously at all. Perhaps, from the beginning to the end, he believed that she was only joking.

With these thoughts running through her mind, Maggie set her cellphone aside and hugged Monica. In a soft voice, she mumbled, "Thank you, Monica. You're so kind. I'm so lucky to have you by my side."

While rolling her eyes, Monica hugged Maggie in return. In a sharp tone, she chided then, "All right. It isn't like you to say so many disgustingly gooey words. All you have to do is keep up your hopes and get back to being the tough girl I've always known. Look at yourself now! I just can't bear seeing you being so sentimental."

Despite being moved by the support, Maggie felt speechless. Yes, she was a tough girl, but Monica was no different. They could not bear expressing their feelings in such girly talk.

Nevertheless, Maggie felt a warmth inside her heart again. While Edgar was no longer here, she still had two bosom friends—Monica and Benjamin. Maybe she had been paying attention to the wrong things in her life. She was in college now, but she was still thinking about the Eagle Special Brigade.

Perhaps it was because of her sudden epiphany that she recovered very soon. However, a sudden heavy snow storm blew in, preventing her complete recovery from the influenza. Fortunately, the blisters on her mouth had gradually disappeared. Now she only coughed occasionally, which didn't matter that much.

As for the short messages to Edgar... After talking with Monica in the dormitory, Maggie thought it might be better for her to stop sending short messages to him, because without any response from him, these were meaningless. She thought she might go to the army to visit her father when the New Year came. By then, she could ask William to give consideration to his daughter's marriage and require Edgar to talk with her face to face.

Despite her plan to abstain from messaging him, she still sent a short message to Edgar when she lay on the bed in the e

Jean Wen sacrificed herself for family interests. Before her husband divorced her, she made every effort to please him.

"You are inexperienced in bed," he said coldly.

"You! Give that land to my family, or I won't agree to divorce," Jean replied furiously.

"Fine. It is exactly what I am thinking about," he sneered.

in front of Edgar, Maggie was laughing and crying at the same time. She didn't know whether her tears were coming from sorrow or happiness. She just couldn't control herself or prevent herself from weeping openly. In frustration, she didn't know why she couldn't stop her crying. Finally, she just let her tears flow, without any other response.

"Are you waiting for this girl?" old Wilson asked while looking at Maggie with a big smile on his face. As far as Maggie could remember, he had been the gatekeeper of the college since she had entered the college. His identity seemed somewhat mystical. At least, he had the aura of a serviceman, which was absent in other older men.

Edgar answered him with a nod and a smile. Looking at Maggie, he asked, "What's wrong? What silly cause do you have for crying now?"

Biting her lip, Maggie cried out as soon as she heard the same familiar voice as in her memory. At that moment, her nerves which had been so tensed for such a long period of time unwound all at once. While wiping the tears from her face with her hands, she ran to Edgar and encircled his waist with her arms, completely uncaring about her public image. Burying her face in his broad muscular chest, she began weeping.

Old Wilson wasn't someone who knew how to behave in a delicate situation like this. He was supposed to retreat from the scene, but he didn't seem to know what to do at the moment. On the contrary, while hinting at the students on guard to turn their backs to Edgar and Maggie, he himself enjoyed watching the moving scene.

Seeing that Maggie was weeping almost hysterically, Edgar felt his heart was about to break. Frowning slightly, he tried to put a leash on the overwhelming emotions which roared in his heart. Then he opened his mouth. "Maggie, I..."

He didn't finish his sentence, because he wasn't able to. All of his unspoken words were intercepted by Maggie's lips, which reached up to his and tasted salty because of her tears.
