"How long do you plan to stay here?" Addison asked casually. The feel of his hand in hers, the touch of his fingers, how warm it was made Sally never want to let go.

The Four Seasons Hotel wasn't far from Chinatown. Maybe, Sally's purpose here was in Chinatown which was why she chose a hotel that was near it. She spoke fluent English, which gave him the illusion that she had a happy life in the seven years that she was gone. Only when one had a good time would one forget about the past, right?

"I don't know..." Sally said helplessly. "Maybe a few days. Or longer."

"I'm staying here for about a week." If his uncle heard him, he would accuse him of not working. This was probably going to come as a shock to the Long Family. "Would you be free to have dinner one of these days?"

Sally looked at Addison, pressing her lips together, and her eyes dimming.

When Addison saw the look on her face, he started to fear that she was seeing right through him. So he hastily added, "If you don't want to, we don't have to."

"I'd love to!"

They both spoke at the same time. They stopped walking and stared at each other.

Sally smiled bitterly as she looked down—her face was red as a tomato. Addison's eyes shifted too. If there was one thing in his life that he would never be able to resist, it was the way Sally's eyes looked at this moment.

He leaned down so that he was closer to her face. They pressed their lips together, feeling the familiar warmth once again under the cold, night breeze. Indeed, the night was romantic. Everything felt familiar as their skins touched and it felt urgent as if it had been longing for each other. However, they both knew that this wasn't reality.

The night was young and beautiful. It was perfect for the reunion of two past lovers who still longed for one another. Their desire for one another would fade as the night ended because when the sun came up, it'd be a brand new day and they'd be back to reality.

Even Evelyn noticed the difference in Addison. Despite acting the usual, there was something in his eyes that was different and it was hard to ignore.

Evelyn moved close to Charlie and whispered, "Did you notice that... Addison is somehow different?"

"Huh? Why'd you say so?" Charlie then glanced at Addison. "Well, I don't think so. Why? What happened?"

Evelyn frowned as he glanced at Ezra who was slowly eating his meal. She pursed her lips as she turned to Elsa. "Elsa, did you notice something different about Addison today?"

Elsa was a lovely girl who thought Addison was overprotective and often spoiled his family, which she benefited from with being Charlie's wife. In other

"You're my wife in name only, on paper only. My heart and love will never be yours."

Edward made it clear to Daisy that she was nothing to him. They were both victims of family greed -- the marriage was arranged for them.

Six years passed. She remained quiet, gaining a reputation in the army as a tough-as-nails colonel. When she walked into his life again, Edward fell in love with this woman...

.

"Something's wrong with Addison for sure, right?" Elsa carelessly uttered as soon as Addison closed the door.

Charlie hugged Elsa. "I hope this is a good start for him. If he's with Sally, it'll be good for him." After seeing her at Roger's birthday party, he could tell that Sally was a sensible girl who was well-suited for Addison.

However, Charlie was ignoring one important factor: it didn't matter if they were compatible with one another, the real question was whether they could actually be together. Perhaps, he didn't really leave this out but he just believed that a man like Addison was capable of getting what he wanted.

Addison headed to the parking lot and drove to the Four Seasons Hotel. When he was near the hotel already, he called Sally. However, no one was answering. Her phone just kept ringing and ringing.

When he arrived at the hotel, he saw Sally wearing a dress waiting by the gate. Addison didn't know where she was going but she got inside the car where a driver even opened the door for her.

Addison was still caught up in the romantic night that they had spent together that he seemingly had forgotten the bitter truth. The truth was Sally no longer belonged to him. So what was he doing right now? He was like a teenage boy excitedly waiting for his first date with his crush. Now he was all giddy inside just because she'd agreed to have dinner with him.

As the car Sally was in slowly disappeared out of his sight, he couldn't help but sigh. He narrowed his eyes as his face suddenly looked cold as stone. Then he picked up his phone and dialed a number. "Do you have any information on the license plate number I gave you yesterday?"

"I was just about to call you," the man on the phone said.

"The car belongs to..."
