After his morning meeting with the board, Min Jae summoned Hans into his office. The results would be released after a few more days and every hour that passes makes him anxious all the more. He knew Na Rae was capable of doing despicable things if necessary. And so in order to make sure that she doesn't meddle with the whole DNA testing process, Min Jae assigned Hans to carefully look into it. The least he'd want was to be fooled again by this woman therefore he better keep his guard up.
"Very well, sir. I'll be sure to report to you daily with regards to this mission." Hans vowed.
Having remembered something, Min Jae turned to ask him. "Hans, have you finished investigating Mrs. Gum's background?"
"Yes, Mr. Lee." Hans immediately replied. Just like before, he produced another manila folder. However, the file this time was much thicker than the previous one. The manila folder was followed by a long brown envelope which seemed to contain more documents too!
Min Jae was a bit surprised with all these information. Nonetheless, he was already eager to know more about who this person really is. He only had a short encounter with Gum Bo Ra yet he could already guess that there was more to her than anyone could imagine. If she was so brave that night to come up and threaten him, then there definitely must be something he could have to hold against her too.
"I found out that Ms. Bo Ra didn't finish college because she lacked financial support. She didn't come from a rich family too that's why she didn't gain any inheritance when her parents passed away." Hans explained. "As a result, she transferred from one job to another. My sources said that she also dreamed of entering the entertainment industry but no agency called her back after her auditions. She worked as a cleaner, an office clerk and her last job was serving at a bar. It's either she was always fired or she voluntarily resigned due to some reasons. Regardless, she was able to fend for herself and she was also able to help her sister graduate."
Min Jae scanned through the files only to see the photocopies of the resumes and job applications she submitted. "Three years ago, she worked as a waitress at a bar downtown. It was then when she met her husband. The two dated for a while and eventually, they got married."
There were pictures of their wedding inside the long brown envelope. Just by looking at it, one could already see the big age gap between them. One could even mistake Bo Ra as the eldest daughter of Chang Seop! Min Jae resumed scanning the reports given by Hans. He continued to flip through the pages until finally, he discovered something that completely caught his attention.
"What's this?"

A few days had passed and Eun Young carefully thought about what her father said. Going on a vacation? Perhaps he was right. She could use that as an opportunity to completely get away from everything. Plus, she could also enjoy quality time with the kids! Going to Maldives would be nice... or maybe they could enjoy a week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The possibilities were endless but she still had to consult with the kids.
One evening, she cooked pasta for everyone. She made it a habit to go home early after work so that she could prepare and have dinner with the kids. For a change, she cooked pasta this time. Little Jung Hyun and baby Hye Soo were already familiar with ramen and noodles so they have yet to try pastas.
"Mommy, is this red bean paste?" Little Jung Hyun asked as he looked at the red sauce draped over the noodles. Sniffing, he found out that it didn't smell like red bean paste.
"It's tomato sauce dear. This dish is called 'spaghetti' and it originated in Italy." She explained. Eun Young mixed the sauce and the noodles before giving Hye Soo her own serving of the meal. Blowing off the steam, little Hye Soo carefully picked a noodle and ate it. After a few seconds of distinguishing the taste, she applauded.
"Spapeti! Yummy!" She cheered.
Eun Young lightly laughed at her cute little daughter. "Little Hye Soo, it's spaghetti." She corrected. Eun Young asked little Hye Soo to follow after her as she pronounced each syllable repeatedly. However, the end product was still...
"Spapeti!" The little toddler happily exclaimed. Giggling, Eun Young decided to let her off this time. She would just have to learn it again sooner or later.
They were in the middle of their dinner when Eun Young decided to subtly ask them about going on a vacation. "Kids, if given the chance, where would you like to go? Let's say a vacation for example... is there any specific place you'd like to visit?" She tried to be as casual as she can. But to her surprise, little Jung Hyun caught up right away.
"We're going on a vacation?!" He excitedly cried. A wide grin was now plastered on his face. "Where? I mean... when? Where are we going?"
Still overwhelmed by his reaction, Eun Young blinked for a few times before responding. "Well... that's what I wanted to know too. Where would you guys want to go?"
"Disney!!!" Baby Hye Soo screamed. She wants to see all the princesses! "Disney! Disney! Disney!"
On the other hand, little Jung Hyun was thinking of something else. "Let's go to Mars mommy! Or... or the moon!" With the thought of being able to wear an astronaut's suit, his eyes glistened with excitement.
Disney? Mars? Not quite the answers she was expecting. "How about the beach? You guys like the sea, don't you? We could build sand castles and we could play outside under the warm sun." She suggested. That seemed like the best plan... for her anyway.
She inwardly hoped that the kids would agree. After a while, baby Hye Soo spoke. "Moana?" She asked, with her head adorably tilted sideward.
Eun Young turned to look at her with confusion as she didn't understand what her daughter was trying to say. Fortunately, little Jung Hyun instantly knew what her sister was thinking. "Hawaii mommy! We could go to Hawaii! That's where Moana's from!" He explained, before turning to compliment his sister.
"Nice thinking sis!"
"Oh..." Eun Young mumbled. After considering it for a while, she agreed."Then Hawaii it is then."
